I gotta tell ya, I think Baylor beats McCallie this year. So does Tyner. 'Course, you can never count out Coach Potter...

The wing T has strengths and weaknesses just like any offense. In my experience most teams don't run it correctly...they block like I teams and try to make the wing T work. If run correctly the wing T is very effective up the middle (trap, counter, belly-g) and off the corners (waggle, boot, buc-sweep). It is not so effective off tackle nor is it particularly good for drop-back passing. All in all I think it is a fine high school offense...if the coach knows what the heck he is doing.

1) There isn't much of a difference between 1a and 2a football (Boyd beat Lipscomb last year but lost the 1a final to CPA...Lipscomb won the 2a) 2) The Pirates are well coached, have almost all their players back, have talent, and are playing at home. 3) S. Pitt will win by 14 or more...and believe me, I am not a Pirates fan.

I still don't understand why McCallie is getting such a good rank in everyone's polls...did no one hear about the McCallie/Knox Powell/Boyd scrimmage?

Well guys, being a little bit on the inside about S.Pitt(not one of them but have studied them plenty) I will bet that they win by 14. There just isn't any difference between 1a and 2a anymore and S. Pitt is a fine team. Admittedly I don't know much about Sweetwater, but unless they think they can make it 3 rounds into the 2a playoffs they will have a tough time with the Pirates. And we should all remember that playing in S. Pitt gives the Pirates a 7pt advantage too...
