Is the scrimmage against Harriman and Midway still set???

Sure Sequatchie, Polk, and Marion have prevailed over Meigs the last couple of years, but somehow, evertime Meigs is put toward the back of the pack they perform at their best. They might not have a Gary Meadows (one of the best backs to ever come out of Meigs) but they do have unity. If a team sticks together like Meigs does they can't be stopped. Tyner has too many issues to take care of that will distract them coming into the season while Meigs has nothing to loose.

What are your thoughts on region 3 -2a. My thoughts: 1. Meigs 2. Sequatchie 3. Tyner 4. Polk 5. Marion 6. Tellico 7. Bledsoe

Eddie Van Halen, you hit it right on the nose!!! The region is up for grabs for the fact that Tyner will loose those big guys. For years they have been the dominant team, now the tide needs to turn. We will be ready for the challenge of #1.

I agree - looks like we really have a shot at winning the region this year. The players seem very excited and ready. This year will be nothing like the last. I also think we will probably be the most suprising team in 2a. GO TIGERS

jwinston, I am a player. I was in computer class when I posted the message. When our coach is confident - I AM CONFIDENT. The coaches pretty much told us that we would not have a problem with polk. Polk was really lucky the past 2 years and the luck will run out this friday! Of course they beat McMinn Central but they were not a "quality opponent." Our coaches (and we could see why) said that the video on polk/mcminn looked like it was a B-team game. I probably should not say this but we laughed just as much as we watched. They will lay down and stay down. They think they can hit hard but if they seen me last week they know I will be waiting for a kill shot!

I have seen Polk County on video and they do not get my respect. They lost too many good athletes last year! Polk will lose big!!! Our players are better and that's the bottom line!!!
