  1. Since I've been in high school (I'm a senior this year), I have played football, and up until this year I have played basketball; I still play baseball. I am also presently a cheerleader for a select squad, so I'm around girls and guys that do all kinds of incredible tumbling all the time. I'd say that because I this, I know what baseball, basketball, and football require, as well as cheerleading. While it is not easy to do some of the things cheerleaders have to do, it doesn't even compare to the demands of other sports when you're serious about them. I learned how to hold a girl above my head with one hand in one day, I definitely did not learn how to play the other three sports in one day, or one year for that matter. Basketball, football, and YES BASEBALL are all sports, but I do not consider cheerleading a sport. A physical activity would be a much better description of it. To whoever said baseball wasn't a sport and that the players besides the pitcher/catcher stand around and do nothing, I guess whenever an outfielder makes a diving catch or jumps and robs someone of a homerun, it's just an illusion, they're actually just still standing in the same place the entire time "scratching themselves." A-ROD never actually runs and dives to his right, gets up, turns, and throws the runner out from the outfield grass...He, also, is just standing there "scratching himself." I wish I could scratch myself like that. Of course he doesn't do this every play, but that just makes it more amazing that he does do it when he has to, he can't practice doing that. Whoever said everyone has to be involved in every play for it to be considered a sport? Obviously you've had that "ignorance wand" way too long. It's time you get rid of it.
  2. And just who might this be, eagle? C'mon, tell us who you are. Were you implying that I should be playing football by saying I was a waste of talent b/c of my size and speed? I've been told that several times. I'm not really cut out to be a bball player anyway. Now, if I was 6'8, it'd be a different story. I hope you were kidding by saying Tyler is a little "funny" in baseball. I know for a fact that several college coaches are looking at him with much interest. His work ethic has really gone up a lot over the past year, and it has shown. Is Valley of Praise even a school? Where do you REALLY go? Grace? Shadrick-I'll see ya when baseball season swings around. Only three more months! Drew, good luck to you, CAAACK, and the rest of the team. Throw one down for me...bones.
  3. Hmmm, I don't really see Erballer's reasoning for saying ccs isn't that good. Like Dice said, we played ######-poor against E.R. and still won. I hope we play y'all again this year.
  4. Shadrick, Tyler's name on coacht is Dice1550.
  5. I play for Chatt. Christian and I appreciate you listing us third, but IMO, Baylor should be first in the private section because they didn't lose many people at all from last year's team and they have some awesome players returning...Who knows? Maybe McCallie will be better, but personally I think Baylor is a notch higher than McCallie in baseball.
  6. "If I believe that I'm right"....so you don't know if you believe if you're right or not? Very classy remarks there, doughboy.
  7. Like Tyler said, we have both decided not to play this year mainly because of baseball reasons, but there were a couple of other reasons that figured into the decision as well. All of the players on the team are eager to play and will be working hard for the starting spots. I hope they do well this year.
  8. I'm pretty sure Carrick wasn't the only reason they were good last year; you can't legitimately say they won't be good because they don't have Carrick...They also have a great coach in David Dinger who obviously works with his players a lot and knows what he is doing. His teams are always ready to play (from what I've seen, anyway).
  9. I talked to Bowman this past Friday, and he told me he had decided to play after initially deciding to sit out in order to focus on his football career.
  10. Chakra, how come Ezell doesn't schedule any big-name 5A schools? In saying this, I am definitely not implying that Ezell is afraid to; I'd just like to see how they would match up with them since they are clearly head and shoulders above most if not all 1A schools. I'd really love to see them play a big school....In your opinion, is Ezell's offense better this year or last?
  11. Yeah, I'm playing, and I'm pretty sure Tyler is, too. We were planning on working on baseball throughout the winter to get ready for that season but later decided it would be a mistake to not play our senior year, it's too much fun to quit. -By the way, who is this? I'm guessing someone from Temple???
  12. How many returning starters do they have? I know Graham is back and always thought that Darbi was back as well?????? never could get the answer on that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but other then Darbi gtaduationg, LV could certainly be a force to be reckoned with. They have great teem speed amd cam run the court with just about anyone. I have always loved playing LV. Bassically both CC and LV always come ino thr games and play hard, regardless of what the score is, and the mild trash talk betweem the players is always fun beause most of the players know most of the players for Valley, so it stays down to a level to where the refs don't have to say or doing anything about it. I honestly think that LV is a team that needs to be reckoned with. They always have good athletres and coaches, ans whenever you get a duo like that, you're going to do some damage. Good Luck LV. We're looking forward to playing y'all this year. CCS=LV ganes are always the best.

Alana, if you're going to talk smack, at least spell the words correctly. Good luck, I hope you guys do well.

Uhhh, sure Tyler. I can't decide what I want to do. I really want to concentrate on baseball but at the same time I know if we both played we could go far in basketball... Fatchance, who are you? You know who I am.

I definitely agree with whoever it was that said Temple outcoached the other teams. Wadley is a great coach, and that is a big reason why they won state, along with the fact that Temple has/had great players in Skogen, Wadley, Williams, Weidenbenner, and Hutchison. It was always fun to play against them because you knew they were going to bring out the best in you. It would be scary to see what Coach Wadley could have done with Ezell's team last year. Unaka, I'm not knocking you, but I'd just like to know why y'all think you're going to be so good. As I understand, you didn't make it to state last year and lost your two best players. What's your reasoning? Just a question, not an insult.
  16. McCallie could EASILY put up enough money for their team to travel out there and play DLS. It wouldn't be McCallie. It would be a bunch of parents who are stressed out paying big tuitions already. Are you saying that the school wouldn't pay for their travel, and that their parents would have to put up the funds? If so, I agree with you. When McCallie's baseball team went to Cali last year, did their parents pay for the travel or the school? Just a question. McCallie seems to have plenty of money to provide all travel needs for their team to go and play DLS w/out the players' parents having to pay any.
  17. McCallie could EASILY put up enough money for their team to travel out there and play DLS. I wish they would just so we could get a feel for how we compare to the nation's "best" teams. Or better yet, I'm sure they would set an attendance record if DLS came down to Tennessee to play one of our top teams.
  18. What exactly happened? Can someone please fill me in?
  19. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that if an extra point was blocked and the defensive team recovers it, they could run it back for two points. I know that's how it is in the NFL and college, is this not the case in hs?
  20. 260? Hmmm, somehow I doubt that unless he's been shootin' up some 'roids. I played against him last year and I don't see him benching 260 without some "help."
  21. Wow, that is so so funny, good one.

    McCallie-Baylor

I agree, I'll definitely be at this game. Last year it was a blowout, but I'd be willing to bet it's going to be a lot closer. I'm leaning towards Baylor right now, but like rhino said, you never know.
  23. I think Coacht was just saying that because RGE said Boyd has played nothing but cupcakes, which would include Ezell, which is RGE's team.
  24. Thanks, Supersteve. We appreciate your pick. How is Boyd looking this year after losing their middle-infielders and Chris? (and their first baseman?)
