im not trying to start an argument but just because they can play defense (sortof) and make lay-ups doesnt constitute them as any higher than nobodys in my book. Puckett gets so much attention that all they have to do is make wide open shots (usually lay-ups).

I agree that he is quicker than most big men and can put the ball on the floor and that is why he scored, but that is still unacceptable. all #52 had to do was slide his feet and beat him to the spot and he wouldnt have been nearly as effective. House is a good player, but he was poorly defended tonight. many other post players do put up a lot of points against ncs, but ncs usually doesnt have to have their center guard someone as quick as house. Jarrett guarded him for half the game (or more) and I dont remember him scoring one basket on jarrett.

Puckett plays with a bunch of nobodys. Hobgood could score about 15 a game for McEwen.

If NCS had anybody who could play any defense on somebody house's size or anybody who could listen, House wouldnt have scored but about 6-8. and Sikes could not hold Puckett's jock, its just not even close.

no excuses here, ncs didnt come to play and coach anderson got outcoached. None of the shots fell for NCS and they didnt do anything else right. CPA plays agressive defense and NCS turned the ball over many times. I just dont see why Ezell and McEwen fans get on here to talk crap because they have no room to say anything. congrats to CPA and Congrats to the seniors of NCS on a great career and good luck to all of them in the future

You must have caught Puckett on an off night (bad time for an off night huh?), because Puckett is the most dominant player in all of A (from what I have seen), and is one of the best in the midstate. He is better than MR. MURRAY STATE, who just outplayed Tyler Smith (although this was just one game). I have watched a lot of HS bball this year, and Jamont is the only player that comes to my head as being more dominant in the midstate than Puckett. Also, how did he get 3 fouls in the first quarter? He is usually very careful to not get in foul trouble. I like NCS' chances tonight.

you obviously dont watch much basketball outside of CPA and other class A teams. You really need to calm down about the whole dunking thing because nearly every AA and AAA team has a dunker better than Sikes. Thats a lot of players... CPA better just be ready to play tonight and not worry about how many dunks he has because Coach A. has NCS hard-nosed defense the entire game no matter who he has out there. 3 is better than 2.

I agree, should be two great games tomorrow night and the top 2 in region 5 are capable of winning state.

NCS won by like 5, 53-48... somethin around there... they went up 44-27 and then they got sloppy and played too loose and let ezell back in it late, but they never got closer than 3.

2nd Round: DA over FRA NCS over CPA NCS over DA for 2nd consec. region championship that sounds crazy and GP might blow DA out and McEwen might beat FRA, but I thought Id go out on a limb.

NCS shoots well in about 30% of their games, and they have only been beaten by 10+ points once in the last 2 years, so I wouldn't expect a blow-out, even if they shoot poorly. Also, they are going to get a lot of offensive rebounds regardless of who they play because they take long shots which equal long rebounds (i.e. Pearl Cohn game). what kind of zone do they run? I hope they are ready to extend to the volley ball line. Well Im glad you have a "MUCH quicker line-up" because it helped Dave go to the free throw line 19 times the last time we met. I don't think GP has the discipline or team chemistry to put together 3 good wins. Also, NCS hasn't gotten beat by more than 10 points once in two years (if my memory serves me correctly), so I wouldn't count on a blow-out. What kind of zone do they run? NCS will rain 3s all over a 2-3 as well as some others. NCS takes mostly 3s so why would they worry about how "tough" their zone is inside. If they rebound, which they could do suprisingly well with quick guards finding gaps in the zone, then I dont really see a problem witht their "tough zone."
