Haley11's post was a GOOD post...yeah, she may have said Smyrna played kickball but she also said that Blackman (HER OWN TEAM!) did not do good that night. In fact, 90% of her post is saying good things about Smyrna. There's no need to bring in who has better competition. Since they aren't in the same district, BHS doesnt know what SHS's competition is like and SHS doesn't know what BHS's competition is like. No need to diss on parents either...that has absolutely nothing to do with...well, anything! And honestly, scoring with your chest is pretty impressive and if you can score by mistake, GO FOR IT! Obviously that is the Smyrna defenses fault to let a goal be scored by mistake. Smyrna's goals WERE good goals, though. Nice free kick, nice crosses, way to put 'em in.

In District 7aaa semi finals, Blackman beat Cookeville with a score of 5-1 (congrats to Carey Black on her hat trick) and Oakland beat Riverdale in sudden death overtime with a score of 2-1 (congrats to Allyson Hornsby-Ohs goalie). This means Oakland will go head to head with Blackman High School at BHS in Murfreesboro on Thursday, October 16. Good Luck to both teams! It will be a great game!

Senior Night for Blackman was on Saturday night all along. It wasn't changed at all. Thursday's game was cancelled, but it was planned to be away anyways. BHS vs. LHS~not so great of a game. LHS was pumped!!! It wasn't that the BHS defense wasn't strong at all. The team as a whole just made some stupid mistakes. **The SIEGEL/BLACKMAN game is what was changed from Thursday, October 2 to Saturday, October 11. That may be what you're thinking that changed. It changed because there was something already going on at Blackman stadium that Thursday night, Siegel doesn't have a field, and I'm taking it they weren't given permission to use any other fields. The game is now scheduled to be at BHS.

When is the next Smyrna game, who are they playing, and where? After all the controversy in one of the last Smyrna posts, I'd like to see a game just to see what all the fuss is about. Thanks.

This sounds like an awesome game. I can't wait to see it. I hadn't heard about Wolke not playing until now. That could make a difference!

Even though Blackman beat Cookeville with a score of 3-1, the Blackman shutout streak has ended. Didn't see this one coming...

Farragut is great!! They deserve to be #2 in the state...if that's still where they stand. BHS held their own in first half with a score of 1-1 but Farragut came back with a 6-1 final. Congrats Farragut! ((and good job to whoever guessed the score would be 5-0...that was close!))

Blackman had an awesome night of football. They were definitely the underdogs but they came so close to pulling it off. As said before, the bands were also at it. The Blackman band has always been very entertaining with the music. However, Brentwood's band was really good. The color guard even added so much to make their band better. Next week for Blackman is Smyrna. Should be a good game if BHS keeps up the fight.
