  1. Yeah....and I was top 5 in the (old) 220 in high school in the state and ran a 4.5 40 in college, but I wouldn't attempt to run Coniglio....or just about any other 18 year old athlete...including my daughter! Now if we're bringing weapons into the contest....that may change the handicapping! /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" />
  2. obviously a lot more Chattanooga kids than those from Jackson, Knoxville, or Nashville!....no matter what time they play!
  3. if there is a race....no offense Big G but I gotta go with the Fuzzy headed Coniglio! I've seen him run!
  4. Excluding "your home team favorite" is anyone other than Coniglio predicting any (what would be perceived as) upsets???? Having not seen Knox Cath, CAK, or ND play this year I would not be able to judge. I've seen all the others and do not see most of them having a chance to run the table????
  5. If you put A/AA and AAA at Baylor (and/orGPS) and DII at CCS there is no home field advantage......at least until the finals when you have to go to the DII site.....As Coniglio points out CCS loads the field for a HOME game....it's not that it is a bad field...although a couple of years ago it was a marsh all down the tree lined side....its just not a fair venue
  6. Personally there is nothing wrong with CCS Soccer field.....but....wouldn't it make sense for A/AA to play at a Div II school (GPS/Baylor) and Div II to play at CCS???? I just jave a problem with a state chmapionship being played at a contender's home field. I know thi has been this way for a LOBG time...still doens't seem right to me???
  7. Enjoy the coverage in Chattanooga...we get more from your media than we do ours in Nashville!
  8. yes....how random will random be???? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  9. Way too logical....they'll probably put all 4 region winners on one side!!! Guess we'll find out in an hour or so! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> Also ALL Privates....that can't make TSSAA very happy /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  10. There is a lot of speculation around the multiplier (going up, going down, going away).....it will probably cause a lot of angst in any case it will possibly depend on how the privates in DI do in the tournaments of all the sports! I think the decisions are made next year and effected the following year???
  11. I'm sure all errors are "honest" mistakes......I have my commissioned reps calculate their commissions and submit them to me....I know they are going to do it anyway...then I go over their figures to make them official....maybe each of you should calculate your score and submit...or assign someone to cross check (kinda like grading someone else's score)....that would put a little less pressure on one person??? I'm thinking this is more blood-thirsty than the actual games!! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  12. FRA v Columbia Academy at FRA 6:30 PM Central
  13. May be wrong...but I thought she got tossed from one game and had to sit out the next game....isn't that the "2 games"....not 2 and 1/2????
  14. definately rooting for a mid-tenn team over west or east....in AAA and A/AA
  15. Didn't see the call....couldn't be a worse time for a red.....good luck to the Commandos (as an old alum)!
  16. Franklin is impressive (more so than I expected). I have not seen Collierville play but with no losses I think they might be the number 1 on paper...but I would hope to see that as a game....would be interesting!
  17. Right now the weather is looking pretty good (compared to earlier in the week) everyone in Middle Tennessee should be able to get their games done tonight /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  18. not pulling for or expecting an upset of ND...it was the only game left that I know of that had not been decided in A/AA...no surprise, except maybe that the score went that high...but there has been a ton of discussion on that already this year.....with ND's record they clearly are the team to beat at state.
  19. I've seen him run....pretty good, but I didn't see him singing while he was banging aroung the steeplechase course! No one is giving any chance of a major (Vandy over S. Carolina like) upset for Notre Dame tonight????? It is so boring when you guys hit every pick!
  20. absolutely they have what it takes...probably 6 or so of the 8 all have what it takes.....I wouldn't beat my chest too much over a dominating victory over Hunter's lane......unless you are incredibly loaded it takes a good run of soccer...few injuries....a little depth and a dose of luck to run the table for 3 games at that level. I have seen Franklin play (many of the other AAA I have not) but I think they could do it....it has been a litlle strange this year (kinda like SEC football!)....I would not want ot bet on any one team to sweep right now!...If I were handicapping I'd see them going off at 3-1...but we don't do that in Tenn!!! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  21. All this "smack" and we're not even to regioanl finals yet!!!!
  22. FRA won 6-0 vs Sycamore.....pettty water logged field but the rain pretty much held off during the game. some light rain during warm ups. Don't know what that field will look like after Thursday and then a football game on Friday night!!??
  23. Based on what I have seen...the Chattanooga paper outshines the Nashville Tennessean at soccer...perhaps we have to compete for press with Vandy, UT, Preds, Titans, etc...so they are more limited....not sure about Memphis, Jackson, and Knoxville papers.
  24. Thanks....this is her 5th year of varsity soccer so we're done after this ....with high school, we'll have to see where she finalizes for college and if she is going to play more. I have to admit, I'll sure miss it if she hangs up the cletes. I know CAK would sure be a tough test if we get there.....It has been kind of a strange year as I've watched teams go up and down (probably more so in the AAA). I know several teams including FRA who have seen injuries really effect their outcomes. I really think this may be the toughest year I have seen in the last 5 to really pick the top 2 or 3 teams. Good luck with the contest!.....maybe I'll get in next year with no dog in the fight!
  25. I'm staying out...afraid to jinx my daughter....??
