  1. shutup cheathamboys, u r an idiot of u think that. when a guy goes up for a layup and the defender just shoves him thats a flagrant foul for a reason. its highly illegal. when someone jumps and u try to take his legs out, once again illegal and dirty. when u kick at someone on the floor, illegal. when u r on the ground and try to roll into somebodies ankle, illegal. i have seen all of these things from cheatham in the last year. i have respect for most of their players , their school, and especially their coach. he does a great job. but i have absolutely no respect for the little crybaby losers who do things like that from any team, even if it happened to be a sycamore player.
  2. im gonna have to say maryvilles seniors. in 4 years they played 59 games and won 58 of those with 3 rings to go with it. pretty impressive.
  3. i wouldnt know about all the time, but i have seen them have their moments over the past couple of years. o well. okiedoke when r u gonna be back in town?
  4. get over it. its a bunch of high school kids who just won a state championship, one of the biggest accomplishments of their life so far. of course their emotions will get the best of them, good or bad. none of you understand what it takes to become a state champ. just eat your crow and let it go, goodness.
  5. if the football games were any indication, sycamores student section will be nothing compared to last years. most of the people at football game were basketball players, and then there are your bball players to about the only people left to cheer are a few football players. the student support seems to be lacking lately for one of the states pretty good programs. dont understand that one.
  6. public school in downtown knoxville i think
  7. i know justin west is a great back (speakin of which does anybody have his stats), ive played against the guy a few times. but how does 1,500 yard 15 TD quarterfinalist matt carrigan not all region RB? aside from the guys who keep being a mr football finalist in sycamores region he has had the best numbers in a while (if your names not herndon, ladd, or toney).
  8. mc cowboy, hope u got a good plan for becker. thats about all u need to bring the gold ball home. ill give u a holler later this week and see whats up.
  9. y r guys dogging on pearl so much? losing by 3 or 4 TDs? i just dont see that happening. yes, fulton has a good shot of winning, but id bet alot on it not being anymore than 10 points at the most. o well, this board is open to public opinion for that very reason i guess. hope u knoxvillians have a safe trip here and back home tomorrow. hope the firebirds bring it back to 4-3a. keep up the good work fellas.
  10. if rashaud mason is #5, then yes i agree with benstiller. and whoever said fulton is underrated, what rock r u living under? i have lived in knoxville this entire fall and all ive heard in 3a football is KC, fulton, KC, fulton, KC, fulton, KC, and then some more fulton. they r by no means underrated.
  11. i have been in knoxville all fall and im from nashville. ive seen both teams this year. pearl cohn is nashvilles version of fulton. both loaded with athletes and playmakers. both teams have great coaching staffs. both teams have good RB's (however rogan is clearly the better of the two). both teams have speed speed and more speed on defense. not only is PC defense fast but they ALL go to the ball and they make it a point to lay the wood on u. i saw ALOT of big hits on friday night. PC line is a little inconsistent at times but if they r on, watch out. the difference in this game will be that PC clearly has the better QB as well as their WR, #5. ive been around HS football for a while and i was in disbelief when i saw him. 6'5 230 and runs a 4.4. ran a punt back 90 yards where he broke several tackles, caught a pass and easily outran the defense, and caught a ball thrown up so high i thought i would be able to catch it by the water coolers. if any team has the athletes to stop him its fulton, but either way this game is going to be close because both teams playmakers will make their plays. no idea about the score, but i like PC in this one. big country, ill be home for thanksgiving break and thought about heading up there, r u gonna be at the game?
  12. alright once again, i played with both garza and lohin for a number of years. i know just about every football related thing for both of them. lohin has a ton of heart, but id never say more than garza. at best about the same. i was in the lockerroom, and i know josh was a leader as well as austin. i do believe it was garzas SOPHOMORE year when he helped lead a team that should have at least gotten to the quarters if not further. imagine what he would have done if that was his senior year because he got a lot better every year he hasbeen playing. but again, let me reiterate, im not downing either. i love both the guys to death and theyre both phenomenal footballers. i hope for the best for each. and im still taking sycamore by 3 friday. the kicking game is going to be a big factor, and sycamore definently has the edge there.
  13. i can guarantee garza would trade every personal stat he ever had for more wins, as would lohin. when garza was a junior, he had similar talent to lohins surrounding him and he put up phenomenal numbers, better than the ones the 5a mr football QB put up. his team then lost to a greenbrier bunch that went to the boro in the 2nd round in a game they should have won. dont get me wrong, i love both the guys and have played with both, but i would have to give garza my vote here, especially after seeing the things hes been doing in college. if he was 6'4 he could have went D1 easy.
