He seemed to be doing very well in te system in the scrimage I saw. He sustained a season ending shoulder injury, during a practice about 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure how bad the injury is or if he will be able to return next season.

If you take a look at the school classifications on the TSSAA website for baseball, softball and basketball. you find a bunch of districts have only 3-4 teams playing baseball, where others have 7-8. A good example is Region 2A, District 3A has 4 teams, but district 4A has 7. With such unbalanced districts in baseball, don't you think that maybe baseball and softball should be divided up seperate from Basketball?

Some of you people from Alcoa may find this useful. TSSAA Football Handbook Section II. O. No explosive devices shall be allowed in any regular or play off games. OS shoots off fireworks before every game and after any OS score. If your coaches were to make the refs aware of that, maybe you can get an unsportsmanlike penalty called on them. Not that you will need it, good luck Alcoa against Lipscomb/Tyner.

Over the past 4 years Region 2AA is 11-1 in the first round. The only loss was OS 4 years ago to Cloudland who isn't even in Region 1AA anymore.

Hats off to coach Webb. Happy Valley came to play and was holding their own with Rockwood till mid way through the first quarter. When the normally, field position, defensive, conservative offensive coach, called a fake punt, that got rockwood a first down at the HV 5 yd line. You don't knwo the horror I felt when I saw Pedicord jump in the air and scrable backwards after the....hey wait isn't that the ball the Prior is carring down the side line? Awsome call. Grabbed the moment and killed the spirit of HV. 'Course if that play don't work and we lose, we all call for his head. Nice gamble though. Good luck to our guys next week in the rematch against OS.

David Lipscomb most likely plays Polk Co. or Meigs Co. the overwhelming possibility is Polk Co. The Meigs Tigers need to win and have Polk co. lose to steal the 4th spot. also note that Treadwell gained a spot Thursday though they just decided to tell the rest of Tennessee the score of that game today. that means there are only 7 spots left...

Milan has not clinched 1st place but they have clinched homefield advantage. They can finish second with a loss to Humboldt and if Union City wins. Then there would be a 2 team tie, with tiebreaker going to Humboldt, for the head to head win. Milan clinches first with a win by Dresden, or a victory over Humboldt, Friday. Which I would venture to guess both will happen.

John T. Armes, Wartburg. He nearly carried a team with no real tallent besides himself to the playoffs all by himself. I was very impressed with him during the Rockwood-Wartburg game, to the point that I was hoping that the rumors last year that he might transfer to RHS had been true.

I would have to say that was probably the worst officiated game I've watched this year. Obvious holding penalties happening right in front of the ref would go unnoticed but a player at the bottom of the pile is called for a personal foul by the back judge 10 yds away, when he tries to get back to his feet? The refs probably threw more flags than I've ever seen but the noncalls were as bad, like the OS players shoe string takle of an eligible Rockwood receiver after the ball was in flight, thats pass interferrence anyday. And some of the penalties that were called were as bad, the celebration penalty at the end of the game is completely pointless, it cant possible change the game but those refs did enjoy tossing that flag and just couldnt resist.

As much as these two teams love to run, you better not show up late or you may miss the game. The clock will be running this entire game.

What I meant was let Harriman Kingston OS and Rockwood compete for the County championship. Midway doesn't play a full county schedule nor would they have a chance at ever winning it. Let them play the schools their own size for a tri county single A trouphy(Greenback and Morgan Co.) or just the single A Roane_Morgan Co.s champingship.

Why not just have the trophy for the 4 schools that do play each other every year? If you put Midway in it just complicates the competetion while gining them almost no chance at ever winning it. Have a seperate trouph for a tri county A division champ between Midway the division A morgan co schools and Greenback.
