    AA Playoffs

Your right about D. Lipscomb. But Tyner need at least another Region win. By the way, I saw Fulton's band the other week at my little sister's competetion. What in the world has happened to them they used to be pretty big. They looked to have about 12 members this year.

    AA Playoffs

Who has mathmatically clinched a spot in the playoffs? That is they could lose all of their remaining games and still make it in. Right now I have these teams in, tell me if I missed someone. 1AA-Gatlingburg-Pittman 2AA-Oliver Springs 4AA-David Lipscomb 6AA-Huntington 6AA-McKenzie 7AA-Dresden 7AA-Milan

    Region 2AA

Eric0499, Opps my bad I meant, Wartburg can finsh 2nd only if they beat Alcoa and Sweetwater, and Rockwood loses to Harriman and Oliver Springs. IF Wartburg wins out and Rockwood beats either Harriman or OS then Wartburg would finish 3rd.

    Region 2AA

Oliver Springs cannot finish below 3rd place. Oliver Springs wins Region by beating Rockwood; or Rockwood beats Oliver Springs but then Rockwood must lose 2 other games. Oliver Springs finsh second if they lose to Rockwood, and then both teams win out. Oliver Springs finish third if they lose to bot h Rockwood and Sweetwater, and bot Alcoa and Rockwood win out. Rockwood wins Region with wins against all remaining opponents, as long as both Oliver Springs and Alcoa have the same amount of Region Losses. Rockwood finishes second even if they win out, if Oliver Springs also loses to Sweetwater and Alcoa wins all remaing region games. Rockwood finish second with one more region loss and 2 region losses by Alcoa or Oliver Springs. Rockwood Finishes 3rd by beating Harriman if both Alcoa and OS win all remaining region games. Alcoa wins Region with wins against all remaing Region Opponents, and Rockwood beats Oliver Springs, and Sweetwater beats Oliver Springs. Alcoa finishes second by winning all remaining region games and OS beats Rockwood. Alcoa finishes second if they lose one more region game and OS loses two region games or Rockwood loses one region game. Alcoa finishes third if Rockwood beats OS, and then all three teams win remaining games. Alcoa and Rockwood clinch playoff berth with one region win. Wartburg, Sweetwater and Harriman cannot win Region. Wartburg-Sweetwater winner clinches playoff spot. Wartburg finishes second if they win all remaining region games, Alcoa losses to Harriman and Rockwood loses all remaining region games. Wartburg finishes third by winning out, and Rockwood wins one region game. Wartburg finish by beating Sweetwater, but loses to Alcoa. Sweetwater finish second by winning all remaining region games and Rockwood and Alcoa lose all remaing region games. Sweetwater finsh third by winning all remaining region games and only one of ALcoa or Rockwood loss all remaining region games. Sweetwater finsh fourth by beating Wartburg but loses to OS. Sweetwater finish fourth with loss to Wartburg but beats OS and then ALcoa and Rockwood lose all remaining Region games. Harriman can finish fourth with a Rockwood loss to Oliver Springs, Harriman victories over Alcoa and Rockwood, and Alcoa loses to Wartburg, Harriman is eliminated by one region loss, or by one region win by either Alcoa or Rockwood.
  5. The Rockwood Harriman game, will be on the 30th not the 31st.
  6. after playing some tough opponents this season how is Alcoa injury wise? Rockwood has come out of several hard fought games with no real significant injuries. How beat up is Alcoa coming into this game?
  7. If I'm not mistaken he has picked Rockwood to beat Midway and to lose to Sweetwater, Kingston, and Wartburg. Oh wow he's got the Harriman game right every week this year, he must be a genius.
  8. Oh no, the idiot from the RCN is picking us, that can't be good he's never right. Hopefully he'll change his mind and pick Bledsoe "becasue the game is being played on Friday."

    Poor Central

Maybe WC should play Harriman, the game would probably have to be called a tie after neither team scored for 10 hours....
  10. Anyone have a score for the Oakhaven v. Westwood game?
  11. I thought both teams played very good. Wartburg's two TDS came off of two long gains by John T. Rockwood scored off great field position thanks to good defense and a blocked punt, and hard nosed running. Wartburg's lack of experienced showed at the end of the game when they were unable to stop the Tigers from taking the lead back, and in a costly turnover which allowed the TIgers to run the clock out. Once again Corey Paine did came through to give the Tigers the moment they needed. Overall the officating was pretty good, not alot of penalties. The Tigers held John T. out of the endzone on a 2pt conversion attempt that looked really close live. I caught a look at in slow motion and the refs got the call right. Overall Rockwood's D held when the had too, Wartburg's did not. Joseph Bowman Connected on both PATs to give Rockwood a 2pt edge.
  12. If I'm not mistaken didn't Shoemaker graduatate from Rockwood back in the 70s? Maybe I'm thinking of another guy named SHoemaker, but I think it is him.
  13. "The oldest rivilar in the State isnt South Pitt vs Marion Co.... Its Rockwood vs Harriman its been going on sense 1921 and Rockwwod leads the all-time series 45-32-6 :justwrestle:" I have a friend here in college that graduated from Harriman, I've been having fun with the past few years, since Harriman has become such a hapless team. But, its not only Football, but the region 2A basketball and baseball championships are almost always between these two. 8 miles of pure hatred.
  14. Kingston's guys hadn't played a full game coming into Rockwood. ANd you have to wonder if that affected them. Wartburg may have the same problem. Rockwood's guys have had to play all out two weeks in a row. They are well prepared for a big game.
  15. Of course you cant compare scores. Kingston ran the scoreup against Harriman, but If Kingston played Wartburg I'd bet Kingston wins it going away. Mostly my point was is that Wartburg hasn't played anyone except maybe Coalfield. While Rockwwod has beat Sweetwater on the road and a talented Kingston team. I just don't see Wartburg being fast enough or strong enough to match up with a battle tested Rockwood team.
  16. Note to Vic King, You have a kicker. You win the game if you let him play. Hahaha Go Tigers.
  17. Wartburg(4-0, 1-0) Rockwood(3-0. 1-0) Hmm who have they played each? The Bulldogs, have layed the smack down on 3 1A schools and the worst 2A school in the history of TN. Rockwood has beat a 1A school of the same caliber of the Coalfield team that Wartburg beat. They beat the defending 2A region champion, in Sweetwater. And they have beat 3A Kingston. Kingston and Wartburg both have played Harriman, Kingston scored 55, Wartbugh 34. Rockwood beat Kingston by 6. So if Kingston is 21 pts better than Wartburg and Rockwood is 6 pts better than Kingston....Rockwood by 27? I think it'll be a little closer than that, but not much....Rockwood 24-7
  18. Here's something that may have Kingston fans kicking themselves for the rest of the year. Kingston has the best kicker in the county. Kingston lost the ball on downs 3 times in the redzone. Kingston lost by 6 pts. Kick the field goals and they have the game tied at least. Glad they keep the kicker on the bench rather than using their one big advantage in the game. Good luck Tigers on the rest of the Season. Should have a good chance at an undefeated season.
