  1. Beech has thrown 2 no hitters in 2 weeks. Their #1 McWilliams has one, and their #2 Hall also has one. While they may not be Vandy or SEC signees, I would say that is pretty good at this point in the season. I know 6 runs is an awful lot in a HS game, they must have been hitting the ball all over the park!! Your D1 team Mt. Juliet may not have a "big time matchup" with anyone in the state this year according to those standards. I would say the projected top seeds on opposite sides of the district would constitute as a big time matchup, although the talent level may not be close to equal. MJ will run away with the district, and I don't believe there is a more talented team in the state. Let's see how far that will take them.
  2. Yea the McWilliams just keep coming and Hendersonville has a sophomore who can really sling it. Idk about the district overall, but the pitching is excellent as expected in 9AAA
  3. How do SC/NE match up? Will this be a +-5 type of game?
  4. What's the outlook for this season? MJ is loaded once again and I would expect them to run away with it, but there are several good arms in the district this year. My pre-season ranks - 1a. MJ - very talented as always, should be strong favorites in regular season and tournament. Loads of D1 talent on this team. 2a. Wilson Central - Classy program with a long history of success and a great coach, just not sure what they have talent-wise. No doubt they will play hard for Ford, but can they compete with MJ? 3a. Lebanon - returns some talent, but always tough to compete with the Wilson Co schools. Do they have enough firepower? Sounds like Coach Vetetoe has things going in the right direction over the last 2 years. 4a. Station Camp - Anyone know what is going on here? They lost 11 seniors to graduation, best Sophomore just transferred to Ravenwood (D1 talent) and several players have already quit. With only 6 upper-classmen now on the team and a second-year coach coming off the worst record in school history, you got to wonder if something is going on? 1b. Hendersonville - Regardless of talent, they always compete. Congrats to Mike Hendrix on the HOF induction, him and Gilley will have the team ready. Know they have at least one strong arm (Soph I believe). Who will finish higher between them and beech? 2b. Beech - Know they have at least one very good arm, should they be the favorite on this side of the district? 3b. Gallatin- Made a great run last year but lost some good players. Do they come back down to earth and finish bottom half of district or can they make another run? 4b. Portland - Believe they lost their 2 best players to Cumberland Univ (congrats to K. Dixon, kid plays very hard). Are they going to be able to compete this year?
  5. he had 4 assist hes avg 5 2nd on the team why dont u like him what has he done to you?? you get faceguarded and double teamed every night you prolly cudnt even get a pass off, probably not even a shot if you have nothing else to do with your time then dogg on a junior in high school then your worthless they dont have a big post player like last year to help them
  6. i like how yall are hating on jenkins how can u hate on someone thats committed to vanderbilt and is only a junior and which lipscomb game were you at? the one at lipscomb jenkins had 4 fouls and had 15 4th qtr points to win the game why would all those sec schools recruiting him want him if he was concerned about his points or didnt play defense or didnt pass to the open man he wants to win more than anybody and if you still think all those things ask his teammates they will do whatever it takes to win just like him they all have a role so they follow it if they dont have a prob. with him yall deff. shouldn't and if u still think all that and want to put him down ask stallings, coach pearl, stansbury, gottfried and many others wat they think about him and get back to me
  7. How did they do in the Wilson County tournament?
  8. Station Camp has a few clowns! im not to sure what the rest of the district has.
  9. oh well i dont want to start a message board argument here but if you want someone to gaurd gaines then i guess ill just have to throw station camps 6'7" 250 post drew mcdonald. and we beat them twice last year but. your right we will just have to see. ps watch out for john jenkins
  10. what are your predictions for these games..just curious? (the boys games)
  11. station camp has 3 seniors and yea they lost a lot of seniors from last year but should be in the run for the top spot in there district.
  12. where do you go to school and do you play?
  13. i dont know about white house buddy. you must go there or something. there not even gonna win there district.
  14. Who will win the state tournament? Gallatin, Shelbyville, Columbia, or Dyersburg?
  15. (1) Lipscomb vs. (8) MLK (2) Macon County vs. (7) Springfield (3) Greenbrier vs. (6) Hume Fogg (4) Portland vs. (5) Station Camp Higher seed has home field in each game. Looks like their could be a couple of upsets tomorrow. Bowden from Hume Fogg is a VERY good pitcher and could suprise Greenbrier, and Station Camp is due to beat Portland. Station Camp is too good of a team to be beaten three times by Portland. Cant wait until tomorrow, this is what high school baseball is all about. Win or Go Home...
  16. David Lipscomb has locked up the 1 spot, and Macon County has 2nd, but i think 3-8 can still be desided. As of now Greenbrier is 3, Portland is 4, Station Camp is 5, i believe Hume Fogg is 6 and MLK and Springfield have 7 and 8. Not too sure on everyones records but i know Station Camp can still get the four spot if Portland loses one of their 2 games left with Greenbrier and SC beats Portland. Should be a great tournament to watch. With home field at stake, there should be some great baseball headed into the tournament also.
  17. Theres been a lot of great games out of this district so far this year. How do you think it will turn out? Who moves on to region? What is everyones record in the district? 1 David Lipscomb (???-1) 2-3. Macon County or Greenbrier ?? 4. Portland ? 5. Station Camp (5-7) with springfield and portland left to play 6-8. MLK, Hume-Fogg, and Springfield ? Should be a great tournament to watch.
  18. First, the score was 7-1 not 7-2. Next, Station Camps defense was great. I think it was their first game all year without an error. Station Camp also continued to hit the ball well. They have averaged over 10 runs per game on their 4 game winning streak. The Austin Peay scout was there to look at the catcher from Springfield i think, but im not positive about that. Koskie from Springfield hit the ball very well all game. Station Camp is on a four game winning streak with three of them being district wins. They are playing the best baseball they have played all season. Their pitchers have been throwing well, their defense has been solid, and they are finally hitting the ball. Hopefully they can continue their winning streak tomorrow against a tough Greenbrier team.
  19. Station Camp got a big win over Greenbrier Fri. and improves to 3-5 in the district. They look to improve there 3 game winning streak on Mon at home against Springfield.
  20. Yea it was a pretty good game by SC. They probably should have even scored more than they did, they left a lot of runners in scoring position, but it was a good game overall. SC did a really good job of taking advantage of Macon Countys errors, although SC made some errors too. Well pitched game by Josh Barnes, especially with the tying run on 1st in the top of the 7th. Great win for SC to get them back in the district race. Macon County is in 2nd and they have already lost 3 district games so it puts SC back in the race. COngratulations to SC on the much needed district win.
  21. I know these district records for sure: 1. David Lipscomb ???-0 2. Macon County 9-3 3. Portland 3-3 4. Station Camp 2-5 I believe Hume Fogg is also 2-5 (??) No idea about Greenbrier, Springfield, or MLK
  22. David Lipscomb beat Station Camp in a very exciting game 3-2. Probably the best game of the year in 8AA. Portland beat Station Camp tonite in another close game 4-2. A well pitched game by Jeff Ferebee allowing only 1 earned, also a good job by Portlands pitcher #35 (not sure of his name). Station Camp couldnt hit anything tonight putting up only 6 hits (one was a bunt). What is everyones district record as of 4/11? Station Camp is 1-4
  23. Station Camp beat MLK 8-6 tonight althought it should have been worse. MLK scored four of their 6 runs in one inning on 2 hits and a couple of errors. Station Camp finally got their first district win and is now 1-2 in 8AA. Big week ahead of them with Greenbrier and David Lipscomb. Great Game tonight guys.
