I heard Randy was down in Jasper. I think he is a very good coach as well. He could make a very good head coach one day if he decides thats what he wants to do. Good guy and glad his team came out on top!

Sorry, didnt read your post all the way. So the game is in Coalmont. How is the new school and stadium? I heard that it is very nice. I also heard that Franklin County`s school is very nice.

They are both very good coaches. Coach Taylor needs to find what works for him and not just be a Colquitte replica. I think that they could both be good head coaches. I look for this to be a really good high school game. Wish that I could be there, but Ill be at Riverdale-Siegel. Riverdale may be the best team that I have seen in high school, except for maybe Hoover out of Birmingham. I wish that they played. Oh well, cant wait for the result of this game. Where is it played?

Wouldnt you? If I were fired and about to play the school that fired me, I would be greatly motivated to do everything in my power to make sure we would get a win. In reality you should prepare the same way every week though. You are only as good as your last game. This is going to be a very good game between too average to good teams with 2 good staffs. Where is the game being played? Im sure there will be some good dialouge this week. HA! Have a great week.

They have maybe the best defensive line and secondary in the state and they are coached extremely well. You cant argue with the 90% winning percentage by GR.

What a great 1a game to go see this year. I think MP has too much for them. I wish both teams good luck.

The staff has turned Boyd into a perenial power house from what used to be basement dwellers. They have shown that they can compete with anyone from the Chatt. area despite the size of the school. There is something to be said for that. Will Coach A stay at Boyd or will he move onto greener pastures?

I would love to see Riverdale-Ooltewah. I think it is no contest Riverdale. Ooltewah outmanned, in my opinion.

Can anyone in the state of Tennessee beat Riverdale? They are about as good as any team I have seen in the midstate in quite sometime. Comments?

I've been getting a lot of emails about posts under the new system. However, not one of those posts had anything objectionable in them that I could tell....unless I'm just blind. I've always assumed that posts should be reported if there's bad language, bad subject matters (sexual, drugs etc), downgrading a player for no reason and so on. I'd ask that if you're going to report a post it's because there's something worth reporting. All moderators want to keep CoachT a quality site. But I don't think any are going to be nit-picky and pull something you have a philosophical difference with. Del. Hey-I just found this up above the football board. Especially if you read the next post by ELA that says that healthy dialouge is what is needed. I have only stated my opinions on this board and have pointed things out that some people in positions of power have not agreed with. They have in turn taken my posts off of the board. This is the only problem that I have with what is one of the premier high school sports sights in America.

Would you please expound on the players that were brought into Moore County? I would be very interested. Especially the ones from out of state. I dont remember any. Info Please!

Hey Del-Its your worst nightmare. Why dont you ride off of the mountain up to the Howard area and do a little investigative reporting. I think they`d like you. You could just call Coach Coulter. Nice guy. Not a good coach. Alton Park continually has one of the best JR. high programs, but for what ever reason he has had trouble winning games at Howard. Some of the best athletes in the city and continually there are big kids in the hallways. Give him a call and heck tell you the info you need.

Heard from a friend of mine he is an arrogant front runner. When he has a loaded team he beats people 75-0 and when he has a good team he has trouble winning games. Besides that I read the Times article after the loss last year to Boyd and he basically took no blame for the loss rather pin the loss on fumbles (ie Freshman runningback) I have a real problem with that...you dont? Thats my only problem with him. You cant dispute his overall record. You dont win that many without some good thoughts however. Just take some responsibility for losses as well as wins. I did however have one other beef. That being only partly his fault. How many So. Pitt players have ever gone to college? Are they not talented enough or what? Is it the school or what? Counselors?

Bad valley-what can you attribute the give up attitude of So. Pitt to. Is it coaching, community, school....what? They have the talent. They are probably the most skilled team in the valley with the closest runner up being North Jackson. North Jackson is probably stronger, but maybe not faster year in and year out. How can they not dominate the scene in the Sequatchie Valley?
