The Brentwood High School team wore green ribbons on Monday in honor of Kayla. There was also a gate collection that is being sent in. We are praying for Kayla and the entire Dickson County softball family.

What age groups and divisions will the Thunder play

This year's (2005) Xtreme Edge 16-U team will be conducting tryouts beginning August 28th. An 18-Gold team will be formed coached by Ernie Reynolds. The Xtreme Edge is looking to round out its 2005 roster by adding an outfielder or middle infielder. We are a tournament team that will be playing in two college exposure tournaments and have a goal of finishing high in this year's ASA A Nationals in South Dakota. I don't know the scores yet but I just heard that Brentwood High won the tourney. Anyone know any details?

The Xtreme Edge 14U (the older 14U team) is looking for 2 more players to complete its roster. We are looking for a very solid middle infielder and an outfielder with some speed. The team (as mostly 13's last year) returns its battery and most other key players from a team that finished 9th at NSA Eastern Nationals (out of 109 teams) and runner-up at the NSA Super Worlds over Labor Day. This year we have a new head coach, Ernie Reynolds. Ernie is an accomplished travel ball and college coach. His credentials include 300+ travel team wins, 2 top 10 ASA national finishes, and two years as assistant at MTSU. The team has been accepted and will travel to Denver for the Fireworks Tourney. We also intend to play in 4 qualifiers for ASA Nationals which are in Midland, TX this year. The Xtreme Edge 14U team is looking for 4 players to round out its fall 2003 and summer 2004 roster. The team is coached by Ernie Reynolds and is targeting a strong ASA finish in 2004 after having a very successful 2003 year. With mostly a 13 year old roster, the team finished 9th out of 108 teams in the NSA East and then finished as co-runner-up in the NSA Super World Series. In interested call Lance Lott at 371-1751 or just show up at Franklin High School October 4th and/or October 11th at 10:00 a.m. for workouts.
