Any ideas as to who the new coach will be? The only locals I can think of would be Keith Shannon and Gary Sexton. Would they go out of the county for a coach?

It is pretty obvious what will happen to the Oneida football program. TL will probably assume a position teaching at Oneida in January. He should not have left Oneida the first time. I hate that Coach Brewster will not have a chance to build upon this years success. Oneida is a place that should be in the mix year in and year out. They have strong support and great interest in the program. Couple this with single A football and you have a recipe for success. I have supported the Inidians over the years, but with Lambert at the helm ith will be harder the second time around. The drama and ego that he brings to a program is not needed. I hate that the Highlanders will have to find another coach. They need someone to stay with the program to steer it in the right direction. They are in the toughest region in the state. If you can win there, you can win anywhere. That is in no way meant to disrespect the boys in red. I am simply saying how tough it is to win in that district. Winning at Scott and winning at Oneida is two different venues. Guess TL didn't really believe he could build a program so he had to go where it was already established and eaiser.

Any predictions on how they will do? Who is on their coaching staff

Rumor has it that Tony Lambert has been named the new head coach at Scott County High. I would just like to wish him luck and say a thank you to Coach Shannon for all he has meant to the big red. He is a class act and expect the same from Lambert. Wish the Highlander the best.

Any predictions on this game? These teams like to dislike each other and often have fights during scrimmages. This will be a great game. If Scott can eliminate some penalties and turnovers I think they will win the game. Advice to the players would be to keep your helmet on, keep your head on a swivel and play till the whistle blows. Get your popcorn ready.

I would like to congratulate the Highlanders on their win last night. The Defense played good, but offense needs to be more consistent. It is young in the season and I am sure as the players and coaches get more experience the better things will be. Nathan Griffith would have to be my offensive player of the game. Sexton is a good QB that will only get better. Defense great job. Keep working hard guys, it will pay off. York will be a bigger test don't let them out work you. Get your popcorn ready lol. I am well aware of the rules... however I am glad that you are here to clear everything up(LOL). It would be interesting to see Sexton coach at AC. Can't say that I would hate to see that happen. Go Red and Orange

If he transferred he would lose a year of eligibility and just in case you didn't know, Wartburg, Gibbs, or Taft is not on the schedule, nor is Oakdale, Sunbright, or Jellico.

Who will be Coach Shannon's Assistants and how do you think the team will do this year?

Sources say that Keith Shannon has been named the next football coach at shs. I wish him the best and hope he stick around for awhile.

Rumor has it that Coach Shannon is the new coach at SHS. There were 8 applicants and 7 were reportedly out of state. If this is true, I know Shannon will work hard at not be led around by other influences. He will do it his way. Go Highlanders!

Lambert will probably end up with it, but I think Coach Shannon deserves the opportunity. I think Russ will go with his brother to AC.
