Alright, this is how it'll end up playing out. And I'm not picking this conclusion 'cuz I'm a student at Marion. I'm picking this conclusion because this is how all of the home games will end up for Marion. Grundy will dominate the first half. They're defense will contain Marion from the get-go. More than likely, they'll be up anywhere from 14-0 to 27-0 at the half. After the half, Grundy will try and cruise the game out. Marion's offense will step up and they're defense will become agressive on the blitz. #66 will have at least 2 sacks in the 4th quarter (You're my man Weecil). In the last 4 minutes of the game, Marion will do what it takes to end up on top when the clock runs out. These teams both have a good deal of talent, and I wish the best of luck to both of them. I expect to see a good game, and hope there will be a great deal of sportsmanship between the players. Final prediction: Marion: anywhere between 28 to 35 Grundy: anywhere between 27 to 34

Both SP and Boyd are offensive powerhouses, so it's going to come down to who has the best defense. Boyd also is playing at home, which may give them an edge. What do you think? Okay, now to make some sense, I'm not Whitwell bashing...the waiter at the restaurant was and with great reason. That's the point, you were on the goaline opposite of the scoreboard. What does that prove to me? I heard the racial slurs from the visitor side bleachers. And of course, any form of punishment you thought of would be a slap on the hand. If I had any amount of authority in the game through officiating or coaching, no matter where the racial slurs came from, that or those individual(s) would not be allowed to enter the stadium again. That's how you handle that situation. "Don't do that again" just isn't going to work. And now for the crap-kicker. Something you don't realize is I spend 80% of my time outside of this county. My dad is an employee at Farm Bureau Insurance right here in Jasper. As an employee for Farm Bureau Insurance, you are expected to travel to Franklin, Tennessee for board meetings up to 10 times a month. Most of the time, I travel with him. You may know him...Sam Condra. So, as we were in Florida (Destin) this summer, we sit down at a restaurant. Our waiter, who was born and raised in Ft. Walton Beach asks us where we are from. We say about 20 minutes from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our waiter says "Oh, are you guys from Whuwill?" I looked at him in disbelief. Then he says "Did I say that right...Whuwill?" My dad says "No we're not from there, but we're about 10 minutes away." Then our waiter tells us a story about he had a roommate from Whitwell for several years...One day, the waiter takes a 5 day vacation, and comes back to an empty apartment. That's $10,000 worth of merchandise, furniture, and entertainment systems that this guy from Whitwell took on the road with him. Seems to me that Whitwell was laughed at in that one.

Shawn's right, things could've been a lot different without those 4 fumbles. Marion may not be that good this year, but they certainly have some good players. The only problem is too many of them try to be superstars instead of team players. There probably never will be another Eric Westmoreland, or even another Derrick Springs to go through MCHS...But there can be another championship team. The main problem with MCHS is blocking up front. Travis Jones has no pass protection, which is a major problem. If Marion could ever get that down, they'll do some great things for the rest of this season.

If you ask me, just calling you "Whuwill" (which I don't do, it sounds pretty retarded) is mild by comparison. C'mon dude, if Whitwell loses this game, you know every Whitwell fan, and every relative of every Whitwell fan will pick apart every yard of the whole game to try and win it by words. Every single one of them will blame officiating and coaching. What about the players? His leg may have been cut on the field...He says someone cut him with a knife, which is highly likely. I think we would've known about it instantly if he had cut his leg on the field, due to the fact that he's in the middle of everyone, with lights on him. I'm going to say LV pulls it out and devistates Whitwell. They just came off a big win against Marion...first one in 15 years. Colquitt will be intimidated because he led MC to 4 state championships. That's something to be proud of if you can shape a team into 4 championships. Everyone at his next coaching job would expect him to do the same, however, if you can't beat the team you shaped the first time around, you'll never make it. He has something to prove to everyone at GCHS.

Marion 152 is right, JP's leg was cut, and he also recieved some lip from some white trash Whitwell rednecks. I'm not sure if it was players or fans directly, but with the way Whitwell is, it was probably a mix of both. I have a lot of friends from Whitwell, and used to work with a few. They were the coolest and nicest people I've ever been around, but some of you Whitwell residents need to work on your attitude. Yelling racial slurs at another player or even another human being is uncalled for and classless. Those that yelled them at the game deserved to be ejected from the stadium and arrested for hate crimes. And for the players that yelled it, they should be suspended by TSSAA indefinately. For those of you who did yell racial slurs: You are definately bringing up the rear in civilization.
