  1. 89.3, The Rock will carry McKenzie Rebel football also this season along w/ the other FM station. I dont recall the call letters. Just trying to get that out to everyone that listens on Friday nights. Pass along to everyone so they will tune in.
  2. Duck, How did Cook look at RB?
  3. Keys to Victory. McKenzie The obvious is Cook and Hayes have to have the big night. But also, McKenzies offense can't start out sluggish. They must be firing on all cylinders from the get go. Last year, we started out slow and could not get in a groove in several games. Defense With Boyd, the DE must stay at home and keep him contained. If he gets outside, his speed is too much. Camden No doubt Camden must take some chances and get pressure on Hayes. He will pick you apart if you give him time to sit in the pocket. The old saying Defense wins championships could not be any truer when talking about this game. I give the nod to McKenzie (yes, I am biased) at home. McKenzie by 2 td's.
  4. How did the Lexington scrimmage go?
  5. I dont care what Huntingdon looked like vs Dresden when the lights come on in 2 weeks, they will show you that speed. Mansfield will have them ready.
  6. I want to hear also. It will have to be someone from Lexington b/c the McKenzie fans are non-exsistant so far this year.

    2A running backs

Hard to argue that. I would have to throw Boo Weathers in there also from Huntingdon. All of them have different styles also.
  8. Dont let that 1A in front of Mayfield fool you. Traditional power in Ky.
  9. WOW!!!! What was the story? I don't mean to sound like they shouldn't have.
  10. Not really a coming out and bursting on to the field song, but Kenny Chesney has a song called Never Gonna Feel That Way Again. The opening of the song is about high school football. "Friday night butterflies. Like clock work they arrive. A little chill in the October sky. A little nervous before the kick off came. 4 qurarters win or lose. Spend Saturday black and blue. It was what I loved to do and it was more than just a game. It was my life and it was fun. Another season of my life is done. Another race I'm glad i got to run. Another chapter of my life is over. No I'm never gonna feel like that again. Time is rushing by me like the wind. Never be as young as I was then. No I'm never gonna feel like that again......" Really cool song that will take probably all of us old football players back.
  11. Give me some info McKenzie Rebel fans.
  12. How did the Rebels do yesterday?
  13. Here you go again this year Wannab, starting the trash talking. You must be from a rival school. I know a little bit about football.
  14. I could not agree w/ you more. I understand that we are going w/ a 1 back set this year. This tells me 2 things. Coach Comer is going to use Cody to for hard nose smash mouth football to set up the pass. The 2nd thing is, w/ a 1 back set, I would guess we would have at least 3 receivers each down which should spread the field and open up the running lanes a little bit. And it also gives Hayes a chance to check off and throw if the LB's or Safety is cheating up. Once again, the talk has started!!!! Go Rebels!!!
  15. Awesome post!!!!! What is the word on the dropping to 3A next year?
  16. Isn't it the truth White House was the greatest place to grow up. I miss those days of hanging out at the park or at the Jr's Foods on the corner beside the old Piggly Wiggly that Rick Herod owned. But the town is changing so much and growing now, that it kind of hurts to reflect back and see all the changes b/c I am so use to the small town. But one thing is for sure, on Friday nights when the lights go on, it's the same old White House. I haven't been to a game in a few years for I was coaching and now am doing radio now in West Tn. But be for sure if I can make it home by 10:20 every Friday night that the TV always goes to channel 4 or 5 to keep up w/ the Blue Devils!!! BDP forever and always!!!
  17. Paul is a very hard worker and could play at the next level. He has to work on his agility and footwork. He is a good student also and a fine young man. I coached him for 2 years in Jr. High. He will be the anchor for the O line this year.
  18. Wannabe and Duckman, where are you?
  19. Joe Pryor, WOW!!!! There is a name from the past. When I was a freshman at WH, Coach Porter took us to Florida to play baseball on springbreak and Joe went w/ us. Joe of course had already graduated. Me and another freshman roomed w/ Pryor while we were down there. I am sure he was happy about getting to room w/ 2 freshman.
  20. Reports I have heard out of spring is that we have found some receivers and that it is going to be a fun offense to watch. I would look for the Rebs to sling it alot and use Cook as a guy that can get you 4 or 5 yards a carry but still has decent speed. The loss of Brad Campbell at FB really is a big ?? on who is going to step in and fill those shoes. Look for Mark Ghyers to get some carries.
  21. It is good to see that BDP is still in tact. I am a former player 86-89and someone on here said that Coach Porter and Grantham are the best coaches in Sumner Co and I could not agree w/ you more. The gentleman that said he use to read his son's game plan everyweek AKA The POOP Sheet, can testify that the players are well prepared by Friday night. There is nothing that can compare to Blue Devil Pride. I love the TN Vols and if given a choice between tickets, I would always choose White House!!! I live in W Tn now and actually do radio for our local high school, McKenzie, but every chance I get I mention the Blue Devils if at all possible. Good luck Blue Devils and lets bring another one home to THE HOUSE!!
  22. Drew Hayes, JR, McKenzie. Has already re-wrote the record books at McKenzie as a Freshman and Sophmore and has a lazer for a arm.
