What are you a "Murphy Fair WannaBe?" South Pitt won the state and looked very impressive doing so. McKenzie had an outstanding team as well but on that day South Pitt by far had the better team. Mount Pleasant also had an outstanding team and an outstanding season. Contrary to what Murphy Jr. says MP had exceptional team speed and an outstanding offensive and defensive line. You dont make the semis with "very little blocking" and "almost no team speed." I'm sure you're excited about the team that you follow and the state title they just won. There's no need in you pretending to be all knowing of everything football when you aren't. We scrimmaged SP during Dailey's so and jr years and he ran up and down the field against SP the same as he done against anyone else. I seriously doubt you would have shut him down.The team you support won but that doesnt give you the right to down anyone else's team or their accomplishments.

Where do you get these "facts" that you supposedly have? How many practices have you been at? Were you at offseason workouts? Maybe you were in the weightroom with the players. Was it at spring practice? Oh i bet you were at the summer passing league. Maybe it was preseason scrimmages or the jamboree. Surely you have went to every Tiger game. I'm sure for someone so intellectual as you to have such an educated opinion you have spent timeless hours with each of these Mt. Pleasant Tigers and know how to utilize them all the best. You've probably spent hours in film study and meetings with the coaches developing game plans to win football games. The answer to all those scenarios is NO! You dont have a clue about our team and what's best for our team. WE DONT NEED SOME RICHARD HEAD from Fairview to tell us how to run our football team.

Yeah and I'll say this. You aint the "radio announcer police", so it really dont matter what you think an announcer should or shouldnt say. Its really easy to make big bad threats online isnt it. I said it and I'll stand behind it. They were acting like thugs. They got off the bus acting like thugs, they took the field for pregame warm-ups acting like thugs, and all throughout the game they acted like thugs. I'm done with it. There's always the off switch if you dont approve of whats being said.

I liked sitting up there because thats what small town football is all about. Heck one year at Cascade the press box was full when we got there and we just ran an extension cord and sat in the bleachers with the Cascade folks. All we need is electricity and we can broadcast, we aint too proud to sit anywhere! I look foward to hearing the truck "pipes", seeing the Devil and little devil mascot, smelling that tobacco, and seeing some good small town football on a Friday night.

Go Tigers from the "redneck announcer." Sorry I sound a little too redneck for your tastes but thats just the way I talk. I did use the term "thug like" football towards the end of the game because that was what I was witnessing. I dont sugar coat things I call it like I see it and I dont apologize for it. I guess I could have used a different description but I didnt so get over it. I get carried away at games just like fans do because thats exactly what I am, a Tiger fan. We broadcast on a tiny AM station that dont get out a whole lot further than the general vicinity of Mt. Pleasant so we cater to our audience. I aint got used to this internet thing where everyone in the world can listen in. But I aint changing, I'm a Tiger fan and although I appreciate anyone thats willing to listen in, if you're looking for professional unbiased broadcasting you have come to the wrong place. I look foward to the trip to Jo Byrns this week. The last time we visited, everyone there that we met was so nice to us. I loved broadcasting from the top of that dugout and I seen on film that now there's an enclosure on the dugout. I just hope its a little easier to climb up there than it was. Last time I didnt get to visit the concession stand because I was a little leary of going up and down that ladder to the roof of the dugout.
