  1. Seriously can someone please tell me why people who are wealthy should be ashamed of it. It is not good form to flaunt it, but why do they need to be ashamed. Pretty much everyone would rather have money than not. So why is being rich such an insult nowadays?
  2. Notice i was discussing football players, my point is that there is no recruiting in soccer, poor boy(should i really feel guilty for being wealthy b/c that seems to be what you are implying).
  3. I would add mcminn in AAA. I don't think CSAS will go too far this year in A/AA. In D2, MUS and McCallie should be on there ahead of BGA and MBA, although those are two solid teams, but i definately agree Catholic should be there.
  4. By the way i did not "do my homework." I just called it as i saw it. That was my unbiased assessment. Sorry if that does not qualify as "real info," gameball.
  5. If Bach can get a mention then so can Patrick Johnson from McCallie. He is a solid player, and very smart. I also agree with the Bach nomination. Also, Karter Smith, who used to go to Baylor would deserve a mention, but he is currently at IMG. When he gets back he will be a stud.
  6. I was not going by the scores man. I realize that Farragut game last year was a scrimmage and this year they were better than us as well. Dalton however i still feel was the better team. Against Farragut we had 12 field players in our first scrimmage and only had four returning starters, so losing 4-0 was not that bad for us. Against Dalton we had our whole team back and had more experience, but still got smacked around much worse than the Farragut game. "Let it go" what does that refer to. I am in no way bitter against Farragut, I know they have the better teams these past two or three years. However, I am just saying that in my humble opinion I feel like Dalton was the stronger team. No disrespect to farragut. I was not at the game of Dalton vs. Knox Catholic. However, i have to believe the game was a bit flukey and something went wrong b/c Dalton was a much better team than Catholic. WHen and where is this game I would love to see it. Prediction for this year: 2-2
  7. Tennessee is better than Georgia in high school, but not in club or ODP. However, I think that Dalton will beat farragut. Our team played them both last year and Dalton would have killed Farragut, sorry but it was true. If they had played last year 3-1 Dalton would have been my guess. Sorry to all of you at Farragut, but we, McCallie, tied you and while you were the better team, I think Dalton would still take us to the woodshed. Other strong players on Dalton are Jose Ulloa, Sammy Ortiz, a kid named Mosca, and another named Andres. All are very strong players. BTW Sammy was definately the strongest player on our club team that should not even be up for debate. I mean who else from PSA is in that category?
  8. Please define "strongly encouraged." Also, I am not knocking Gary he is a good kid, but he is neither a freshmen nor good so why is he on this board.
  9. Sammy is the best player in Chattanooga. Igor Slisko, Adam Montgomery, and Mitch Thomas are the only players that are in the same category as him. Actually, I would put aaron doyle in that group. Plus Sammy is the cooolest kid ever.
  10. My respect for StayNSkool just went down alot. You are mistaken if you actually think that Gary deserves a mention on this board. I have seen him play on McCallie's JV team, which he was probably the worst starter for, and have practiced with him most of the summer. He is not good. He has NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO left foot and most of the time all he does is kick the ball without any thought process. His little brother consistently makes him look foolish. Gary is not a good player by anyone's standards. He might be considered an average high school player in a year or so, but even that might be a stretch. BTW recruiting at McCallie is a joke. I play for McCallie and would have known if any of that went on. True, McCallie does help good football players come to the school every once and a while, but McCallie admissions don't care at all about soccer. No one on McCallie's team was recruited period. StayNSkool my respect for you just dissapeared. You finally let your Ooltewah bias loose.
  11. FIrst off, I don't think Gary is a senior. Second, I don't think he is that good. He was an averageJVplayer for mccallie. That means that he doesn't deserve a mention with Joel Bradford and Nouri Roberts. Keys is in his grade and is much better than Gary.
  12. Anyone see both the McCallie and CBHS game? If so who looked like the stronger team. How would they stack up....A farragut players input wouldbe best.

    McMinn County

McMinn had a great win tonight. The first half i was very impressed with the quality of play that McMinn played with they seemed very crisp in their passing game. #19, #8, and #7 were all fairly solid. However, once they were up 3-1 at half all they did was pack it in. I feel they could have put a few more in if they had played with the same type of urgency as in the second half. Also, just a suggestion to Coach Earls and his team. If you want to get respect throughout the state as a soccer power, you do not need to jump around like you just won the state championship after a win. True, beating Bearden is quite an accomplishment, but act like you expected it. Enjoy it, but act professional that is how you will gain respect from the state soccer community.
  14. Haha, I agree with MRH and sportdude. I alos think that cliff should no longer post. Any post by cliff please disregard.
  15. Yes Trey was playing. He had no real shots, but he was tested in the air on a few occasions on set pieces. He was able to defend all of these well. I really can't think of any real shots that Soddy got, but he showed alot in the air. THe most dominant goalie in the air in the state no questions asked.
  16. McCallie did not play well in the first half and SOddy had a lot of possession, but did not get many chances. In the second half, McCallie stepped it up and took over the game, creating many chances. 1st Half; Larkin mcGloughlin scored on a fluke shot / cross. 2nd Half; Joel Bradford had one assisted by Templeton. Patrick Johnson scored one assisted by Joel Bradford. Johnson also had another one called back.
  17. HAHAHAHAHA. I am indeed a fan of Adam. He is a friend of mine from ODP. You must be a bitter, jealous player from Morristown. I have played a lot of soccer in my day and feel like I know my stuff (my initial guess from your tone is that you don't know that much). Adam is the best player in TN i have played with. I have not played against "Dirty Sanchez," but my guess is that he is not as good as Adam. You might be able to make the case that Adam is a "wuss" for not playing school ball, but you can not tell me that he is nowhere clost to the best player in state. He is at least in that league. By the way, what grade is this dirty sanchez kid in? If he is a senior or junior where is he looking for college. My guess would be UNC or Indiana if he is in fact so much better than Adam.
  18. I am assuming Farragut 3 Catholic 0
  19. It is not an elitist statement, I hope you were kidding. He is just saying that Baylor might be better than McMinn, if they played their starters.
  20. tied 1-1. Farragut was the better team, but McCallie definately held its own.
  21. McCallie has the toughest schedule in state. No doubt about it. WE play 7 teams, one of which we will play twice, in the nation's top fifty. Three in the top ten. Farragut #1 Bearden #3 Christian Brothers #10 Norman North #14 Parkview #28 Knox Catholic #38 Westminster #50
  22. Hoya who are you, if you don't mind me asking.
  23. Not sure there Jumparound, but I believe there is a freshmen named craig. Maybe it is his brother, i don't know. But get the facts right before you chastise others.
