Govman! That wouldn't be a pretty sight.
As a Rebel fan I overlook no one. I will never forget my junior year in 1980 when Maryville was 7-0 and ranked #1 in the state. Maryville had just drilled South Young 40-0. We Rebel players watched film of South Young beating Powell 17-0. Powell looked awful on tape. Powell beat Maryville 7-6 on a rainy field. I learned that night you never overlook anyone.
Good lord!!! 1980?? you are older....way older than my dad. That was 25 years ago ronald. 2.5 decades. Plenty has changed from then to now. I mean, that was when popcorn at the movies cost a nickle.

Alex Rouse isn't going to UT at all. He was gonna try out for football but decided baseball was his best bet in the college level. He signed a scholarship with Tennessee-Weslyn in Athens, Tennessee. He has been up there for a while I cannot believe no one has heard this.

Maryville ran all over Mo-town. One thing Maryville had on their side that Mo-town didnt was revenge. Cade looked great. Everyone was clicking. The defense was incredible. Stephen Childs rocked some poor kids world. Morristown is a great team, but us blowing them away 38-0 just proves how good we are. The only test we will have, which I really dont think we can lose, will be against Central. For now, let's have fun with this "off-week" against Willy Blount. I think GQ should play the JV and save the varsity for next game. Man, all my friends from WB told me how awesome WB was gonna be until they lost their first game. Then, once they went 0-3, they haven't called me or anything. I guess the "year" they were talking about might land them in last place in 5A.

Yeah it doesn't really matter how good your run game is or your back that can get it out to the corners because they still aren't going to do anything. Dustin Lindsey is one of the best backs in the state and alco was also talking about him taking it to the corners which he tried and failed miserably. They had 78 total rushing yards I think. Halls, however, managed to come away with -18 lol. That must be what the famous TEDNUGENT coaches. The running game is probably his expertise. Or maybe his job is soaking the field. What does everyone else think?

If the students want to rip other teams then what buisness is it of yours? No, REBELRON, when other teams make all these comments, I really dont care cause they say that cause we are better than they are and they want it to seem like we are weaker than we really are. and they stink might contribute to it. I really love it when people say we recuit though because we dont. That just shows we are so good that people think we recuit. Oh well dad, or i mean rebelron, if i said anything to make you angry why dont you just get all the people on coacht that kiss your arse and all your other senior citizens you are friends with from bingo against all the students. I mean you could pretty much say you are an older student anyways. heck, why dont you just come sit in the student section? I know its not nice to speak to the ELDERLY like this and im sorry but you old farts can just form one line and kiss my trash-talking rebel arse.

RebelRon, im gonna have to agree with rebelraider on this one. You are a grown man so you can still take all the pride you want in your old school, but dont tell the current students how to make their posts. If rebelraider or any other PROUD fan wants to brag and talk all the trash they want to, why does it matter to you?? I mean move on...im not gonna hang around in maryville my whole life and boss all the students who STILL attend Maryville high school. Every time rebelraider posts something you try and act like you have to "take charge" and represent your OLD alma mater. Let the students behave how in the blank they want too because it is none of your darn (yes ill not say the real word because the mods might have a hernia) buisness anyways. You think one old FORMER maryville high school student is gonna walk around and tell all the students how to act?? NO. If all the other schools (who we kill) want to think bad about us then let them. They're still gonna lose and they don't really matter. Who cares what those other schools think?? Anyways "REBEL" RON, mind your buisness, do all the maryville fans a favor and delete your coacht name, and change it to "ISTILLCONTROLMARYVILLEHIGHSCHOOL" or better yet just stop wasting your time at bossing kids around cause you are obviously failing...bye

Who wants to watch the game on t.v. anyways?? Oh yeah a bunch of ole' geezers who still follow high school football and don't wanna pull their lazy @$$es off the couch. Get out to the game and cheer your team on. Another thing thats bothering me is how central fans are all tore up about this. I'd think they wouldn't want their so called, "State-Bound" team having it poured all over them on television. Or the guy who wants to watch his son get absolutly hammered by a rebel. Why would they want to air a game that will not even be a good one?? I know....EVERYONE in the world wants to see the rebels. The NFL coaches might like to view this game as well to learn GQ's "Smoke -n- Mirrors" unstopable offense. Or his "Black Swarm" defense. Which held Alcoa to what 80 rushing yards? LOL They did beat us though......In the food can drive!! Good luck Central. Pray. Practice for Maryville.

lol wow I really have no clue. We beat Carter 55-6 which isn't saying real much. Our 4th and 5th sting could have beat em' if they played the whole game. I don't really know much about Clinton. We beat up on em' last year ( not trying to sound cocky) and also i heard Clinton has already lost. Bottom line: If you can't beat Carter then you will go 0-10. Sorry Carter fans.

This is who i want:
1A- Greenback. I want anyone from Blount County. The best football county this year.
2A- Alcoa. I hate em' because i go to Maryville but...we already beat em' so I want another for Blount County.
3A- Def. Fulton Falcons. I love this program and have great respect for them. They show Maryville tons of love, so I will support them.
4A- lol Maryville...like i said I go to school there, their in Blount County, and all the players are my best friends.
5A- William Blount. Don't really like their ego, but I am friends with mostly the whole team. Osbourne, Lucas Wall, Scotty Rhodes, Brad and Darren Walker.
Who I think will win:
1A- Boyd Buchanan. The only good team in 1A that I have heard of.
2A- Alcoa. Great tallent, coaching, and will. Hate em' but no one in 2A will touch them. They are just too good for 2A.
3A- Fulton Falcons. They won last year and still have great tallent. "To be the man, you gotta beat the man!"
4A- Maryville Rebels- Look at their record for past 4 years (42-1). Way better tallent this year than last. Coaching staff, well what can you say. MO-town shouldn't be considered this year...lost too many key players last year, and also lost the first game of the season to Swain County. Knox. Central will be the only chance in heck we dont make it to state.
5A- Oak Ridge. Don't see anyone stopping them. Beat us in scrimmage when we were playing a bad game, and no many teams even beat us when we play bad.

Dustin Lindsey- Alcoa, was recently named the Channel 8 Player of the Week. Ran for 162 yards in the first half, and finished the game with 175 against SD.

Marcus McKinney- TSD, the only All- American in Tennessee, was a deaf school All- American.
Just a few to name around the Knoxville- Blount Co. area.
Hmmm....I believe I could get 162 yards against South Doyle. If im not mistaken, Alcoa had 78 rushing yards all together against Maryville. Big difference in yardage, big difference in Maryville and South Doyle as well.

lol wow I love it! okay im gonna have to go:
1. Maryville Rebels- 42-1 for the past 4 years. Like JKerrBdaMan said,"To be da man, you gotta beat da man!" Offense is almost unstopable when everyone is playing. Tremendous depth.
2. Oak Ridge- Beat us in the scrimmage (16-14), however, we were missing half of our starters, and also GQ wasn't there. (lol know i shouldnt make excuses but..) Would love to play em' again.
3. Alcoa- Couldn't beat us, but then again most 5A and all 4A can't handle us this year, let alone a 2A. Great tallent and speed. Lack depth. (31-18)
4. Central- Great speed from what I hear. Always give Maryville a great game. If they beat us then I'll say they are #1. (which i doubt...not trying to be cocky)
5. Austin East- Great speed, Good QB, and possibly the best back in the state in Albert Harris. Maryville won easily in the scrimmage. But that means nothing. We lost to Oak Ridge, yet I know we would beat em' in a real game.
***Sorry if i have offended anyone, I just got kinda fired up after Central being #1 before Maryville, Oak Ridge, and even Alcoa. And also comments about OR beating us at the scrimmage****

i do not think they were over rated , they opened their season against one of the best teams in this state. you could have made all the adjustments you wanted too, david gaston was not gonna be stopped on that night. # 40 forW/b was killing central , he was running past our fastest players,. as long as they did not let them selves get demoralized(cause thats usually what happens when play them kittens) thay will be fine , maryville better be good because #40 will run through them.
lol Sounds like the Alcoa fans saying, "Duck will run all over you," or "Duck will have 150+ yards!" lol Until running backs ever run the ball on Maryville, don't say they will run it all over us. We are a different team than Central. I think we will be fine against osbourne. Central fans are still pretty angry we stopped their beloved Cassen Jackson. Oh well, since they say we cant stop Osbourne, they are pretty much saying Osbourne is better than Jackson.

Yeah well if they score on your 2nd string then you arent as good as maryville. Our 3rd and 4th string was runnin all over Carter. They managed a score on our 5th string i believe it was. Alcoa will dominate the 2A region, but not a 4A powerhouse. Even if they score 49 on offense....I still dont think they will be able to stop the offense. Anything can happen in high school football, I dont think alcoa can do it against Maryville. Maryville 49 Alcoa 17. Nuff said.

Okay, first, they didnt whoop them. It was 16-14. Second, our 1st and 2nd string RB were injured. Third, that was the worst I have ever seen Maryville play. Trust me, you will think differently about Maryville by the end of the year. Tonite was an okay game for Maryville. 55-6. They had 4th string in after the half. Would have scored 100+ if they left the starters in.

East Tennessee Prospects pitched Matt Simone, from New York, and he gave up only 3 hits. None of the yards runs were earned. They pitched a guy signed with North Carolina and also Iorg. How did Yard 17's do against ETP at their tournament?

If anyone of you are really good VARSITY pitchers that can throw the ball good enough to play on 18u travel team let me know. We are loaded everywhere except pitching. We beat East Cobb this weekend and almost won the tourney. Anyone who wants to play email me at dothedeew171113@aol.com. We will be playing in some huge tournaments including: 2 Auburn University Showcase tournaments, CABA World Series at University of Miami, Chattanoga State tournaments, and tournaments at Tennessee Weslyean. There will be college and pro scouts at 5 of the tournaments.

Blount Cty Freshman: Alcoa is loaded with a good Freshman class and they have alot of good pitchers, Taylor Denton, Brett B, and Justin R. Alex Green will be the one to watch in this group. He could start at CF on most teams right now. He has the speed and glove to play. This team will only get better. Heritage also has a good Freshman class led by Clinton Helton who made the varsity. Clinton is good pitcher with great control. Alot of good position players but will need to develope more young pitching. Maryville also has a good Freshman class, the one to watch in this group is Wes Charlton. Like Green at Alcoa he has the speed and glove and arm to play Cf on alot of teams. Joseph Miranda is another good player with great work ethic he will be another one to watch at Maryville. WB also has a good Freshman class with Mark Mcgill, Andrew Clabough and Cory E. WB will also need to develope ptching. Magill will be there ace if his arm stays healthy and Clabough is a great hitter and good pitcher. I wish all teams the best of luck. The level of talent at each school in this fresman class is great. Should be some good baseball in the future for all Blount County to watch.
How do you expect these people to watch out for these people when they dont even get to play? I think you are judging this ability by little league games they played in. The freshman that start you didnt even mention.

Lol well as you Rebel fans can see, Nugent hasn't said a word about wet fields and Maryville after the mo-town west game. I also recall him talking about how Mo-town would be the #1 team in 4A. Thats pretty sad he cant say his own team will be #1. Oh yeah, I forgot, they stink. I can tell he is a man of fairness and sportsmanship after the Halls sprinkler system flood. Its funny how at that point in the season it had only rained once, which was 2 weeks before the halls game. hmmm......
