  1. They may have what it takes. Even if they don't have the same talent calibur as teams likek Covington, Austin East or Crockett, they seem to have something going. Little bit of fortune smiling down on them. Last year's Crockett game was a good example. Crockett loses they're Mr. Football running back and All-Region fullback, and Greenbrier puts it to 'em. They're an opprotunist team, and they put it down when it counts and when they need to. They have as good of a chance as anybody to win.
  2. I'm starting the thread for this weeks game of Crockett Co. Cavaliers vs the Greenbrier Bobcats. I'm saying Crockett by 6.
  3. Man, this region is the best I have seen it in years. Page was a fantastic opponent for Crockett, and Greenbrier has a better chance than Page of pulling off the win. Man, you guys are killin' this year. I didn't expect you to put out all but 1 6-3A team in one night. Good luck Friday and may the best team win.
  4. Yeah, I know the 5-3A teams feel underrated. But give Crockett a break. This is the first year we have ever really gotten ANY respect or attention...period. Even though we beat Marshall, Cheatam, and Greenbrier last year we were for the most part overlooked. They went from being the ABSOLUTE worst to one the the top three teams in the state. So we know the feeling. Good luck to Greenbrier Friday night and may the best team win.
  5. I wouldn't say the southeast-Florida's high school football has more following than college ball does around here. Look for the Crockett-Greenbrier. I believe the winner of this game will bring home the Gold Trophy from Knoxville.
  6. I agree. I still believe Crockett will pull out the winner, however. There are more playmakers on that team than Williams. Every time that the entire defense focuses on Earnest (yes, that's how it's spelled), Ingram and Tyus have breakaway games. Both quarterbacks are reliable, and Mosier has some jets of his own (his top speed rivals Earnest's). Can't put all your eggs in one basket. I believe that will be Greenbrier's downfall, as it was Page's. Even still, they are quite the juggernaut of an opponent. May their be a clean AND well officiated game (should've wish for that against Page) and may the best team win.
  7. 3 Mr. Football Finalists-Crockett Co. has two: Diaz and Williams. Both were All-State last year.
  8. I actually shouted out a "YES!" when I heard that Greenbrier won. You guys have an excellent program. I hope you can give us, Crockett, as good of a game as you did last year or as we got last night against Page. Your region has some exceptional talent, and you are the number 1 team in the region. So the final survivors of Region's 5 and 6 3-A will face off this Friday. Man, if that dosen't get your blood up, I don't know what does!
  9. As for two of the other threads: those were an accident. My internet loaded slow and I hit the button more than once. Sorry.
  10. I believe you. But I like to know what other people think of the Cavs. I don't know enough people in Middle Tennessee to get their opinions direct, so this is the only way I can. No offense. Thanks for your support, beans.
  11. HA! If Crockett and Covington are blessed enough to win next week, they will have a rematch of the 2001 game where Crockett upset #1 seeded Covington. :justwrestle:
  12. All right! Crunch time! Crockett slid by Page 28-24, and Greenbrier pulled out a win against Sycamore in a 2 OT victory 23-24, I believe. Let's get the opinion of the people!
  13. This is my second post on the opinions of others involving the Crockett County Football Program, currently number 2 in the state in Class 3-A. You can talk some trash, but try to keep it intelligent.
  14. Again with "Crockett is overrated and they're gonna lose Post?". Come on, now. They've shown (twice) they can beat the top teams in your region. Don't be so harsh of the Cavs. And as for the game, Page played good, but they are one of the dirtiest teams I have ever seen (pro, college, high school, etc.). PERIOD. Mosier was hit late at least four times, twice on a hand-off three seconds after the ball was gone. Come on. That's no accident. The officiating was equally atrocious. Soooo many missed personal fouls against the Pats that it was almost funny. Crockett not only beat the Pats, they had to beat the officials as well. But don't get me wrong. They are, hands down, the best team that we have played all year. They almost sent us packing. Heck of a game Page, but but be a little cleaner next time, OK?
  15. That was a heck of a game. Whew. Crockett earned that one all right.
