  1. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to ALL of the wrestlers, parents and other referees that helped run this tournament so smoothly. The wrestlers working the tables and parents working the tables all did an amazing job this year! Congratulations on a safe exciting year!
  2. To speak my own mind on this camp, I must say it was one of the best camps in the state! All of the great coaches from nashville memphis and chattanooga all come together at each camp and work one on one with you. When I was in high school, I went to this camp for 6 years in a row and learned new moves each year. I then went on to be a 3x state placer here and never went to an expensive out of town intensive camp. Everyone must try to go to one of these camps in Tennessee! Great coaching and a lot of fun!

    Ryan Fuller

Fuller Family, Best of luck with recoveries and surgeries. That takes a big man in Ryan to take on that type of task in life. Does anyone know anything else following up with ryan and his dad?
  4. Where are the clarksville area kids wrestling at for this? are they considered part of Middle Tenn? or are they going to start their own section of the state?
  5. Bozo, I wrestled with two different groups when I was relocated there in high school and middle school. Mid South was the primary club in Memphis and still has the best wrestling coaches on that side of the state. Jonathan Simpson was my coach starting as a School Boy and Cadet and continued on through Juniors. He was a great freestyle coach, not to mention Coach Holmes was the man there too to add another name on the list. They had the wrestling room to be in to get better. Hope I helped your son out.
  6. Sometimes, you just have to wish Coacht would go back to paying for your "off season" freedom of the press and speech.
  7. Jonathan, is there an unlimited weight class in the open division?
  8. I first would like to start out by saying thank you to everyone that was supporting me throughout the tournament. It was great to get internet video for my family and friends to watch. I had a great tournament and enjoyed the 2nd place finish. Throughout the years I have made plenty of good decisions and bad decisions. having good years and bad years. Just thank you for everyone who has supported me and believed in me through everything. I couldn't have done this without the training I recieved at Cumberland with Jarad Swint as the coach. He taught me a lot and had a big driving force on me at nationals this year. As far as the "club" talk, I wrestled some tough guys and some not so tought guys compared to NAIA. Speaking from personal experience there are plenty of guys that could have gone to NAIA and torn it up, but I transfered for school and my construction management major, not my wrestling career. I feel that I have given plenty into the sport and would like to give back to the wrestling community. I am done with competition now and I thank everyone and my family that have stuck with me throughout my entire career. You guys are awesome. "Club" wrestling is teams like vanderbilt that don't tend to compete in events near as often as teams liek MTSU, Tennessee Temple, Lee university, Kennesaw State, etc.. just local schools with NCWA programs. I would then like to let everyone end this forum and continue to congratulate and support fellow tennessee wrestlers that are wrestling in other divisions coming up. I hope there are no negative attacks from coaches, supporters, or family anymore. I wrestled at MTSU just to complete my 4th year of eligibility while working towards a degree I have wanted since I started college. I have learned a lot from the wrestling community and thanks again for everyone who supported me and the MTSU "club" team. We are looking to build it up in the near future and are interested in anyone else coming out next year that attends MTSU. I will still be around next year to help out and coach, though I am officially "retired." Thanks Lucas Borneman
  9. HA, did anyone ever think that this kid just ate too much? heck, he didn't have to do anything after weighins besides catching up on some lost meals until the finals. Nerves and acid reflux are hard on the stomach. Congrats to both of these guys.
  10. Try getting ahold of Cory Watson. He can point you in the right direction. He is the president of the MTSU wrestling club. He has done a great job with the team and turned things around. His email is serge_duh@yahoo.com
  11. Thanks for the advice Mr. Delgado
  12. It is ridiculous for any of you to critique a high school wrestler because of an apparent win. Obviously Chris and Taylor have both worked their butts off to get to where they are now and are continuing to rise with their expanding wrestling skills. Let's not complain about the referees that have officiated in the state tournament for numerous years now. One person's idea of stalling is another's idea of smart wrestling. Congratulations to the Indy wrestling team on a great win. You're coaches are both proud of you for the success and maturing you all have achieved this year. Keep on working hard and your hardware will keep rolling in. As far as Mr. White is concerned, allow him to wrestle for his own word and not have someone blab for him. He is a stout wrestler and what he does on the mat speaks for itself. Go Eagles. -Coach Borneman
  13. I suppose you are talking about coach Fryman on that one. You other three just get the old.
  14. It isn't always the wrestlers themselves that bring the team to the top, but a coaching staff. And although the Mustangs are young, the coaches are old.
  15. Wow, good job coaching staff and team. You guys are always looking good.
