Well, the game starts in less than nine hours.
Here's my opinion on the game since everyone else has one.
If the field gets slick, which it probably will, I say the team that has the most passing yards will win. Reason? A WR has an advantage over a DB because the DB doesn't know which cuts the WR will make. If the players can keep their footing, H-Town's running game will be a force to be reckoned with. I haven't seen DL play so I don't know about their running game. As always, especially if field is slick, turnovers may decide the game.
One thing to take into consideration. As many DL fans have noted, their first stringers have played so well in all their games that they've usually pulled them by the third or fourth quarter. If the game stays tight until the end, will DL's first stringers be conditioned enough to play well towards the end of the game? They may be, but that's one thing to think about. It happened last week to Rod Smith and he had two fumbles. One forced and one unforced.
My prediction? No score here but I think it will be a close game until the end. And the team with the most turnovers and most missed tackles will be state runner-up. I think it will be a good, solid game and will be well worth sitting outside in 30 degree temperature in the snow.
Good luck to all the teams at the Boro and may all the players stay injury-free, play fair and represent their school well. There are no losers when you make it to this level...just disappointed players, coaches and fans.
Good luck and GO H-TOWN STANGS!!!
