i havnt seen cosby play this year but they always have a good team and from what i hear this year is no exception. plus it is almost imposible to win at cosby. so i would have to predict cosby to win if CAK doesnt play a very good game. but anything can happen. good luck to both teams.

are you saying that they shouldnt play or shouldnt be in the same divisions?

JFW is not very big. they have pretty good athleticism, but from the two times ive played them this year they really dont have anyone that shoots the ball very well. their lack of basketball ability is evened out with their agressiveness.

CAK did play poorly but that may have been because of the good defense Greenback played. Luckily the warriors shot pretty well as a team. I have to compliment Trae Helton. That kid has more class than about anyone ive ever played against. One time someone was shooting a free-throw and cak only had one player in the lane and the ref was about to give the ball to the shooter, helton saw that Mark Cunningham was running up to get in the lane and helton stepped in front of the ref and asked him to wait. i dont know if that means much to anyone else but i was very impressed. see you guys at CAK tuesday.

so you think the better team let the worse team start out the game with 14 points before the better team started to score. or did the refs magically wish the shots to go in? the refs called a fair game with bad calls on both sides along with good calls on both sides.

CAK beat Coalfield tonight and will be playing at Cosby next Friday with two games against Greenback inbetween.

I guess ill be the first to say that CAK won the game tonight by 7 or 8 points (if someone knows the final score then please tell). CAK started out the game with a 14 to 0 run but the lead never got much more than that. The yellow jackets played good defense and rebounded better than any team ive seen. The game got as close as 6 points in the 4th quarter and all caks starters had 4 fouls. It was a close game and at the beginning i had thought it was going to be a blowout but i have to give Coalfield credit. they are a really good team that should go far this year. I guess with each team winning by 7 at their home court that both teams are pretty even. thanks for a great game and hope to see you in regionals.

that doesnt really make me mad for one reason, you have wins to back it up. neither CAK nor Coalfield have proven themselves to be very good teams, bc you cant really prove that with one good win. plus id say that rockwood probubly has the advantage in the next game against CAK. Its the same advantage that CAK has going into the coalfield game. both teams lost on the other teams court by a couple points in a game that they could have won. and if rockwood players are anything like the cak ones then they are going to want to prove in the next game that they are better than the team that beat them, and that will make them play harder.

again how can you say that winning all those games in the playoffs was a fluke? and yes if we were in your situation we probubly would not be happy about it but you also have to look at it from our point of view. who likes to hear people complain for months about one play and how they should have won. its just getting really old. maybe you can bring it back up when the football threads open up again but this is basketball.

you know how rediculous it sounds to say that we got lucky in 4 football games. and im sorry for saying that you are from coalfield i just saw that you have posted 4 times and 3 of them have been talking about coalfield. and yea we have only beaten one good team but we have also only played 7 games and other than the loss to coalfield we have only lost to catholic and honestly how well do you think coalfield would do against them?

awww is mr mighty still upset that he lost the silly football game. are you going to cry for 3 months after you lose thrusday in the basketball game. sorry all the other coalfield fans who have put that game behind you but for the rest of you, get over it.

Were you at the game? CAK was up by 2 or 3 points almost the entire game until the 4th quarter when two of the 7 players fouled out. Now im not using that as an excuse because i believe that coalfield played a better 4 quarters and deserved to win but to say Coalfield was clearly the better team is an untrue statement.

I guess we will see how CAKs break effects them in playing Coalfield who they lost to in the first game of the season. My guess is CAK 65 Coalfield 51.

I agree with that and the first one is understandable but the second one is not. i think it depends on the player if they can handel it or not. most students have been cussed at before by peers but comming from a coach who you respect and want to do your best for it will probubly be taken a little harder.

yea the grace team that caks jv played is the one here in knoxville and i think this is only their fourth or fifth year of having a school.

I agree with you XtremeLoco, wartburg doesnt ever seem to have the talent of their opponents yet they win the games. im still stickin with rockwood by 13 though. when rockwood has the right guys in at the right time i dont know of many teams that can play with them.

are you saying that the opponent would "lose focus, hope, and speed" durring the race or before the race. bc if you meant durring the race then i would agree with you.

I get what your saying about basketball and getting into their head, but running? When you go out and start a race your not thinking about what the guy next to you and what his time is, and if you are you are doing it to push yourself to run that much faster. so i still dont get what your saying about running. but in bowling if you tell someone your bowling average then the whole match your opponent knows that they have to bowl so many strikes and if they get behind they are trying to gain it back the rest of time.

How can you justify running being a sport and not bowling? I know youve said (i think it was you) that you can get into the opponents head by telling him your time or something like that, well couldnt you just tell your opponent your bowling average or high game to get into his head?

Bowling looks to be easier than it is. I mean you have to perfect one motion and you should get a strike every time. I would compare it to shooting a free throw in basketball. all you do is get to the line and do the same motion over and over. there is nothing to prevent you from doing the same thing ever time. so why is bowling hard?
