3 maybe strange. Years son was on team under Gaddis players quit but no starters or part time players I can think of. Gaddis had a way of talking with you and conviencing a kid to stick around even if he had little chance of playing time. Why the lineman quit I guess if you want to know ask him. There were no holes to run thru for the RB's. Pats OLB and CB's are pretty quick and good at forcing RB's to cut it back. But on most occasions they just cut right back in to a DL or LB. Number 32 made 3 open field tackles on Vikings trying to get outside. Vikings just could not generate offense and the punter, that was frightening. Good Luck Friday Night!

I was told the young man has a job and needed to work more and that left him with a decision and he decided to work. I am not sure I would call Pats 3 yards and dust. That is what I associate with a slow down and pound style. First 2 games 13 or 14 passes per game and last game almost 7 ypc on ground with a lot of those outside of tackles. But we interpert things differently. GO PATS !!

Drew, woods are well. Glad weather is starting to cool down and bringing the FB on. Can you believe UTM is playing UT!!! Even in the games where HCHS beat Kenwood easily, this game has always been physical. These 2 teams just like to hit each other. Humbodlt OL just could not match up with the Pats D last week. This should be a good challenge for Pats D. Does anyone know if Kenwood has to play a lot of 2 way players?

I can't believe you just said "The best teams win regardless of who they play". How can that be??? Most of us are told during our playing days by Coaches either at practices, interviews, etc. that playing tough competition will just make us better and more prepared. It is implanted into our pea brains at an early age. It can be similar to work or school. "Take the tougher courses to make you smarter and better prepared" Work hard at jobs to get the best results and chance for advancement, etc etc etc. That concept spills over at least it did with me. Sounds like you adhere to the John Wooden philosophy of, It makes no difference who you play. Learn your assignments, hone your skills and practice as if you are playing and you can win against anyone. Of course FB is quite a bit more complex than BB.

You are right, Level of Competition is a component. Not much to talk about when it comes to Kenwood game. Can't have a rational discussion with fastcat and no other posters so leaves us little to discuss. I have heard they have a big strong OL not just the center. ???? Out of all the Clarksville teams for some reason they have always gotten fired up when they play HCHS (at least in FB). Wonder if the HUGE win for them last week will linger this week like a hangover?

I take it that when you say Regular season schedule strength is overblown.you are meaning that the level of competition during season has little bearing on how the team will perform in post season? Don't get me wrong I tend to agree that fans do put more stock into SOS than Coaches. It is fun to talk about. GO PATS !!

No we DON'T need to get carried away. There seems to be lots of sensitive people on this thread today. The competition in our district will likely be similar to last year. Like I said Springfield and Dickson County will be better, while others will be worse. Kenwood will be a little better but still no match for HC. If we NEED for the district to be much improved, then we are in trouble. I have never known a weak district to hold Alcoa down. Some of you are clueless. Don't think sensitivity is an issue. I do think the District will be more of a challenge this year for Pats.
