Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! You have to give CCHS alot of credit. We have really been playing well under Coach Smith. We easily go 10 deep and are currently the hottest team in the district. You could really see Bradley tonight looking at each other wondering what was going on. It's called welcome to the mountain!! I really think Bradley thought the team they beat in last year's Regional finals would be a pushover. SURPRISE!! Oh and for the bad news- We started one Senior tonight. Warning to everyone else- You better bring your rainsuits because it's been raining threes EVERY GAME!! We had a player tonight to tie the ALLTIME record for threes in a game by a Lady Jet EVER!! Keep up the flying highwire act, Lady Jets!! We are proud of you!!!

Crossville has played both of these teams. I have seen Cookeville once and Sparta twice. Cookeville by 18! Cookeville's guards are the difference. The two big girls will about neutralize each other. Cookeville is much better.

I'm right cheer! I also can nw see with certainty that it will be CC will win because of their athleticism. We may not have the best players, but we do play hard. Watch the Jets and Lady Jets fly over the "grounded" Warriors!!

Thats' one of the best jokes I've heard all year. The season has barely started and you already have McMinn in the substate. Grow a brain will ya! It's just like always- everyone forgets about the mountain girls from Jet Country(Crossville). We have been in the substate I believe four of the past six years. Need I remind everyone about how many players we have back? Good luck to everyone anyway even if I think you are wrong. Go Jets and Lady Jets!!

Gcfan- After the dismantling of McMinn Central today, I say let us enjoy our AA CHAMP VICTORY frst. Now, that humbling part you were talking about- who is it going to do that to us? 7AA is the best district in in any classification in the state bar none. 6 years in a row and counting...............

Two to go to make it six in a row back to 7 AA with the hardware. You've got to play a tough schedule to be used to this level of playing. Go LA!

It's all about the competition you play. Gibson Co. had obviously not played near the teams that LA has played this year. Yes, they are a good team but not like LA. A coach today said Gibson Co. in 7 AA would finish at best 3rd. I AGREE!! GC schemed to take away Beech. Beech just decided to play assist girl today with esp. Thurman open all over the place. It is all about team, and today LA played as a team. I loved the cheer at the end of the game- OVER RATED! LA Oliver Springs Round 3 Fri. See everyone there!! H-O-G-E-Y-E, HOGEYE, HOGEYE, T-N-T!

iamoz- Thanks for that info. That is very interesting! I had always wondered when they voted for that. Interesting.

Jimbo- I agree with you. It is much too early to decide on the winners right now. Let's sit back and enjoy the next few weeks.

zoza- Have you seen Livingston play this year? Your AA post of winners is quite frankly pretty ridiculous. The three AA players are all good, BUT no way can you leave out Beechboard for one of these three. Check again!!

Showtime- Pickel is not all about the points but about the opportunities she creates. Everybody knows she can create. If you don't go get her on the drive, she will shoot. This game she shot some really wild shots that found their mark. However, nobody else got the cheapies she is so good at creating for them. That was one of the main things about the game. Bradley was shooting farther out than they probably had shot all year. Anyway, don't make fun of a freshman if you were not there.

Sure Cumberland County has had a team for three years now. This year the girls finished second in the Chatt. area district. Crossville has had one or two teams in the state the last two years. Hope this helps.

There is a rumor going around that some of these girls may be coming to Crossville. Is this true? What happened that can be said on here without telling the whole story out in the public. Just wondering. Thanks for whatever you can tell me. Thanks again!

CCHS is coming off a big win over Bradley last night by 2. This should really be a great game between two pretty hot teams. Hope to see you there.

I think I smell some grapes that are a bit sour. Anybody else smell them? During the game last night I made the comment that it's finally great to see us playing like we knew we could. We were picked to finish 2nd in our district in the preseason. We have been trying to figure out our rotation since the beginning of the year. I think I saw it last night. Some did not play at all last night that have been logging playing time since the first of the year. I think one of the biggest things we figured out last night was that a Freshman needs to be starting. Boy did she do a number to Ms. Pickel. Pickel thrives on driving and she couldn't get around her much. Way to go Randi!! We also figured out that if U control the boards, the other team doesn't score as many. Harville had 16 boards. We have always been able to hit the threes this year. Do we get any credit from bearette? Nope. It was us bearette that made you miss your shots. I had us with 7 blocks also. Yes, it is a little different up here on the mountain. Let's see shoot the ball well. Yes! Control the boards. Yes! Play good defense Yes! No stupid mistakes Yes! If CCHS plays that way the rest of the year, BETTER WATCH OUT!! Way to go all you Lady Jets!!

LA will win by over 10.The reason will be simple: 1. Home court advantage. LA is tough there. 2. Leadership. LA gets this one. 3. Players. LA is better this year. 4. Fresh legs. Nonfactor. LA by over 10.

Hogeye will shoot down the Buffaloes by over 15 +.

Gotta go with the LA Lady Wildcats over J. Co. I was at the game and said that these two will probably play five times this year. To be the woman, you gotta knock off the woman. 1 down, hopefully 4 to go. See you in the Boro. One warning, there are other very good teams in AA. Don't anybody overlook them. AA LA over J Co.

Bradley beat Cumb. Co. last night 74 - 46. I do have to admit that Bradley looked like world beaters last night. If any team in the state of TN played Bradley last night they would have gotten beat. I was frankly surprised that Bradley defeated White Station in an XMAS tourney, but now I know how they did it. They played virtually error free ball. Everybody seems to talk about Hare and Pickel and that they are the only players on Bradley. They are very good and deserve the college scholarships they will definitely recieve. However, let me tell you, Bradley has about 10 very good players. If you scheme to take away Hare and Pickel then Brown, Pugh, Suiter etal. will light you up. For the game Bradley shot over 60%. Not only are they good on offense, they are truly great at disrupting your offense. Best in the state I have seen on D. (I have seen many top 10 teams that couldn't touch them). Then you may think well CCHS isn't that good. WRONG!!! Our CCHS Jets were looking forward to trying our luck against Bradley for the second time. Oh, BTW CCHS was 13 and 1 on the year. Bradley is just a very good team. I still CCHS gets their chance aganst Bradley several more times this year. Best of luck everyone.

WesVols- Glad someone agreed with me. I have a way of making people mad. Anyway, mark it down that the Vols will be good this year.

I just think this is so hilarious! We lose one game @ maybe the hardest place to play after Cameron Indoor and everyone shows their ignorance. Thanks for the good laugh!! I am friends with a few SEC refs and they all say the same thing. UT will surprise some people this year. Wonder if Georgia was surprised to the tune of 24? DUH!! UT will be just fine. We will all realize that Vandy is not as good as everyone thinks they are right now. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY could have beaten Florida today in that atmosphere!! Buzz has a couple recruits that did not play well today. Not everyone has to score well to be a good player. Everybody has their roles. Buzz could take steps to get to the "next level" (KY, FLA, NC, DUKE, etc.)by getting some of the players aforementioned. Buzz can and should be at UT as long as he wants to. I sure hope so. I can't wait to go to some of their games this year.
