Additionally, he is very well respected and would get the program headed in the right direction. Any thoughts????

A source told me that the 8th grader was no longer in Jackson Co. Any truth? I hear that she is returning to Smith Co. If so, my how the tables have turned!!

I have seen Clay-Gville have some wars in that tourney to a packed house! To me, it is awesome. I have also been to Tech and watched some of those great 7AA wars. The atmosphere in the building is no where close. Those cram-packed gyms make it great. I have no dog in the hunt, just enjoy watching great basketball. Watertown's gym will seat around 1500. If they let more in than that, so be it. I, like you, will want a good seat, so I'll be there early. Best of luck to all involved and see you there devil!!

Well, it is just a funny thing that the region has been held at Watertown every other year for 10-15 years now. There have been many great teams and matchups at this tournament before now. I guess you assume things are different because Jackson is coming?? If you ask most people in your district, they will say Watertown has done an excellent job hosting this tournament.

I have no dog in the hunt, but last year it was 10-7 with 6 minutes to go and Watertown had missed 2 opportunities inside the 15 yard line. Gaines intercepted a pass and returned it 60 yards to basically put the game away. But, as you have said, FCS has dominated this series and most other sporting events with Watertown. Where is the ole Swaffy hanging out these days? I don't know about his coaching abilities while at SD, but I guarantee you the players played with emotion, heart, and fire.

Speaking of getting CREAMED....were you at the slaughter that took place Friday against FCS?? I don't see Clay winning many games with ease, unless you are talking about RBS and MJCA. Best of luck though

AMEN!! All boy's teams want to do in today's game is shoot the 3 and try to dunk...no fundamentals anymore. It is a slow ruin to what could be a beautiful game.

What does 7A do? I have seen everyone in that league play and it is an ABSOLUTE fact that they live and die by the 3. That being said, almost everyone is doing the same. The 3 pt line has killed high school basketball.

First, learn how to spell...it is "probably." Second, why will they need good luck. From what I understand, Clay had them beat last week in the tourney. And please don't even start with the officiating thing. Westmoreland is at least 10 pts. better than Clay almost any night. I can smell the leather off those softball gloves right now! Congrats to Westmoreland.

Talk about unimpressive....what about that GREAT 17 pt. half you guys had against Watertown Monday night. Your team looked so unorganized. If Watertown does anything at all you are sitting at home tonight. I have seen Westmoreland play 3-4 times this year and if your team performs no better than Monday, then you all might as well get the softballs out. Westmoreland by 6.
