Every1 in Smyrna and all Smyrna fans everywhere that couldn't be at the game tonight are feeling total nirvana right now. The highest of all highs. The best feeling I have ever felt in my life. It's like a dream that will never die. This game was like a personal championship win for Smyrna. I don't know how it could get better than this. I know most people who aren't familiar with this rivalry don't understand how much this game meant to us and how it could mean more to us than any other game. I'm sure Lavergne and Oakland fans know what that feeling is like when Lavergne beat us that one time and Oakland beat R'dale back in the 90's. Someone pinch me.

Definitely an improved Smyrna Bulldogs. They were an entire different team tonight than a month ago. Huge CONGRATS to Coach Shadowens. No one thought you could do it but you did and proved them wrong.

No Sonny Gray didn't. #11 for Smyrna, Kyle Frazier got hurt on the opening kickoff. whether frazier broke a rib or 2 ribs I'm not sure, but I was told by a close friend that he did break a rib.

What makes you think we should show you any class when you don't do the same. It's a 2-way street man. If our lack of class bothers you, why not be the bigger man and start showing more respect for us? Instead, you choose to sit there and expect it to fall in your lap. Why? Because you have a "better" football team we should bow down to you? That's pathetic. I'm sure you really do hate Smyrna. I believe in order for someone to hate an individual or multiple people like you hate Smyrna, there is something about them that you hate about yourself or there is something they've got going on that you wish you had and it doesn't even have to be about football or sports for that matter. It could be some personal issue of yours that I care not to get into because I'm not a phychologist. I'm just voicing my opinion. I don't hate anybody. I don't understand the hate or malice against someone but I do get why it happens. I don't hate your gig or Riverdale's gig for that matter. I appreciate what you've got going. If it wasn't for that, the season wouldn't be so exciting. At the end of the day, I really like who I am and who I represent so what anyone says to me doesn't bother me. I like some of the jokes on here about Smyrna or me, I think they're funny, but at the end of the day, no one judges me but me. I try to remember everyday when I go home I don't care what anyone thinks of me as long as I know I laid it all out on the table, did a good job in school, good job at work. Someone might not like the way I look, my attitude, what I say, they might not like anything about me, but the person I have to be comfortable with and the person I have to answer to is ME.

Most Riverdale fans are really shallow. All I can tell you is to get used to it cuz they ain't gonna stop gloating like a buncha 5th graders during a recess football game.

I agree with you. Some people were saying that Smyrna hadn't played their best game yet (before Ravenwood loss) and after they beat Blackman, they haven't performed their best on offense. They've only scored over 30 once in the last 4 games and this is a team that should be averaging 35 to 40 a game. They have fallen off dramatically from the first 5 games on offense. I think Smyrna will pull off the win Friday. It will be a tough game but the score won't indicate it. Either it will look closer than it was because Lebanon makes a comeback in the second half or Smyrna pulls away in the second half to make the game look not so close. I don't think this game will be decided in the final minutes.

I never talked up Smyrna all week. I predicted they would win and was clearly wrong but I never talked them up. Check the boards. I was actually referring to everyone, not just you. sorry for the misunderstanding.

Rod is actually a really good guy. I've known him along time since we were little kids so I suggest you stop judging guys based on what they're like on the field and just shut your mouth.

I wanted to come on here tonight to show all of you riverdale people some well deserved respect and I'm disappointed in the way most of you have acted. There's no need to bash some very good players from smyrna (like Sonny and Rod) just because they didn't play well. They tried their best and that's all you can ask for.

Yea I'm pretty sure that there are about 30,000 people in Smyrna and about 15 of them are on here showing no class. I could be on here showing no class also but then I would have to stoop down to your level of unsportsmanship. Instead of gloating on coacht, why don't you go have a good time with your friends and celebrate your victory and try being a little bit humble?

Wow everyone is showing so much class right now I love it. You won. We get it. The Dale dominated. I think I'm the only Smyrna person that has the balls right now to admit that. This has to be the most overrated game EVER. I never really listened to anyone who said that Shad was a joke, etc.... because he has had success against everyone else but Riverdale. But after this game, I realize how big of a joke he is. The worst play calling I have ever seen. He and that O-line didn't give sonny a chance to do anything in that game. If I were Sonny, I would have started calling my own plays cuz then we might have put a point on the board.

Absolutely PITIFUL. Riverdale played great in all facets of the game. THE WORST gameplan I have ever seen from any coach on any level of any sport. Congrats Coach Shad, you just set Smyrna football back about 20 years. We would've done better if we just Asked Madden on the video game. Not one postive thing can be taken from this game. Good job R'dale. You deserved it a billion times more than Smyrna. I never thought I could reach the point of being ashamed to be a Smyrna football fan, but I think it just happened. That is EMBARRASSING. Good luck to both teams even though it seems like R'dale doesn't need any.

it could have an impact. The only thing is that Smyrna has alot of fairweather fans. They're only loud and proud when they're winning and everything is going our way. But when the going gets tough, the crowd gets quiet. If anyone went to both the Lavergne and Ravenwood games at Smyrna they would know. everything went right against Lavergne and the crowd was hype the entire time. But when Smyrna was struggling against Ravenwood, it seemed like the fans didn't even try to rally the team to a victory. I don't like going off on my own people, but I'm not going to lie either and I'm not sorry about it.
