The Greenbrier win is not impressive this year but that is not the fault of Creek Wood. I expect Camden to be a little more "battle tested" because they have played a tougher schedule. Once again you are speaking but have said that you have not even seen Milan play. Marion County may have been a good team but by no means were they great. Saying that, they were down 16-14 with the ball and shot themselves in the foot with penalties, hardly the traits of a great team. Then you guys said you took a knee to keep from scoring? Far from what I saw on film. A more accurate statement would be that you guys had a penalty with less than a minute to go (could have ran clock out by taking a knee) but continued to try to run it in only to be stopped by the clock hitting zero! I was a little surprised you did not take a timeout to make sure to get one more score.

All 4 teams agreed to send tapes out to the other teams. Alcoa & Marion County to Goodpasture & Milan and vise versa. Oddly enough we receive the Marion County tapes but not Alcoas. They sent the tapes to Mickey TN rather than Milan. We all know how it is real easy to confuse the Milan and Mickey football prgrams! It was someone within the Alcoa program, by no means am i saying Rankin, but somebody did it. It was done to allow our coaches less time to prepare for you guys. I am sensing that Alcoa was a little worried and this confirms it! 2 weeks ago you said that the CPA/GP winner would easily handle the JCS/Milan winner. Then said that GP would run all over Milan and Milan would choke! Now your football prgram sends tapes to wrong town! I said all year that a 1 dimensional team does not stand a chance against Alcoa and now they will have to face a team that can run or throw. You pick your poison and we will give you a healthy dose! Anyone close to Milan football knows that Goodpasture is not a team to overlook. They have represented the West 3 years in a row, that in itself says all that needs to be said about what Goodpasture has done and can do. Milan will have to play their best game of the year to win. How does each team look as far as injuries go?

I realize it will be difficult for you guys to find anyone that wants to play you. Not a lot of options out there right now and that will be the drawback to the reclassification. I will say this, if regions were the same next year as they were this year (obviously they will not be) then Milan and HC would have been playing in 2009!

Milan hung 42 on Westview in the first half in week 10! A little fire power there also! For some reason after we went up 14-0 in the first qtr, the offense fizzled. Some say weather, others say Westview was just better. Whatever the reason, Milan had 4 turnovers and that alone should get you beat in November! Milan survived and advanced. Bottom line Milan will have to execute better to go any further this year. I expect to see better execution this week from the Dawgs and that is bad news for JCS. Milan 34-13. As far as scheduling goes, when you play a tough region schedule you tend to lighten the out of region schedule. Also seems to me that Henry County is doing the same thing, a 5A school looking to play 2A, 3A schools. Milan, Westview and Dyersburg all know it will be a battle all year just to get through the region! What would you do? Humboldt and Liberty both will be in weaker regions so why not schedule a tough out of region game or two. Good luck to you guys this weekend vs Melrose! Hope to see Milan and HC in Murfreesboro.

Why not schedule tough out of region games? With that region Swenson knows he can take some chances out of region and walk into the playoffs with only 1 region loss at worst! Stangs will dominate this region along with McKenzie. Stangs will be battle tested and make DEEP runs towards the ship for the next 4 years.

JCS will be ready. Milan better bring their A game or their season will be done. This time of year you have to be focused to move on to the next round. Milan will be done if they bring the effort they brought last night! Rain or not you still have to execute and right now they are not executing.
