  1. Congrats to the McKenzie Rebels. Your football program is on a roll and ours is struggling. Good luck in the playoffs.
  2. Mustang players, I wish I could ban all of you from this site but I can't. But there are a few things I want all of you to know. The true football fans in Huntingdon are behind you and will back you till the very end. Remember that, no matter what else is written and play every play as though it would be your last!!! Keep your heads up and wear the Blue and Gold with pride.
  3. I'll be there Thursday afternoon. Want me to bring drinks again? Let me know what else.....
  4. Tonight's two games will destroy the field. Several places are very soft to just walk on it. Not the best conditions for a "scat back" to run on. There is a band contest Saturday on the field and they have 17 (?) bands supposed to be there. There sure are going to be a lot of shoes and uniforms to get cleaned up after marching in that mess.
  5. This doesn't have anything to do with this game but I think you UC fans will want to check out the photos from the Huntingdon game at the following link: http://rickeyd.zenfolio.com I don't think you'll find any better and if anyone decides to order an 8x10 is less than $5.00
  6. For some unbelievable photos of this game, check out http://rickeyd.zenfolio.com
  7. Huntingdon Fans, I was at the stadium at about 9:00 last night with some friends and there was lots of electricity in the air. Coach Swenson may have a little help from former coaches Pudor and Ward tonight. I wouldn't even be surprised if someone doesn't get bitten in one of the pileups tonight. I think former player, Johnny Compton may let his presence be known and back in '66 he was said to have bitten more than one player from the opposing team.
  8. Former All State Mustang, Larry Stewart, will be delivering the game ball via helicopter just before kickoff tonight. Better get there early if you want a seat............................
  9. Huntingdon only has 367 students this year. And some get on here and say we shouldn't be in 1A.
  10. Great to hear from you, coach. It's ironic, but your name came up this weekend while watching the dvd of the Westview game. We never knew what we would hear from you in the background. Kind of looked forward to it. I bet your boys know what hard work is by now. Next you'll teach them how to win. Hang in there and get back up here for a visit whenever you can. I know you were proud of this bunch of young men. They were down 21 - 7 at one time but fought their way back. As you remember, last year they dropped their chins and folded their tents.
  11. I found this on page 3 and thought I would toss it back to the top. Things are way too quiet in Bulldog country for y'all to be as loaded as you are this year. I don't think you are going to be able to fly under the radar by being quiet. What's going on over there? Any injuries? Newcomers making waves? Come on folks, I'm getting tired of reading about middle and east teams.
  12. Coach said that he was getting a MRI done today. We should know something soon. I sure hope there is nothing torn.
  13. I heard that our starting center, Chip Williams, hurt his knee in practice today and was carried to the ER. If anyone hears anything, please post and let us know what they think. Sure hope he's OK.
  14. The scrimmage with TCA will start at 5:30 tomorrow at Jackson.
  15. I spoke with Coach Swenson this morning. The scrimmage with TCA is still scheduled for Tuesday in Jackson as of now. I should be able to post a time later today. He said if it rains and can't play tomorrow, he would try to reschedule for later this week. He felt that we really need this scrimmage. Today's practice (4:00) should be interesting.
