Three non-region opponents for Maryville : 1. Alcoa - Decent football team, obviously over rated in the pre-season. 2. Heritage - Will not contend this year. 3. WB - Good for the gate only FBE - Your comments lack merit and vailidity. Look at the non-region opponents. Maryville needs to get some kahonna's and schedule some of the "real" top programs in the state like the Riverdales's and Oak Ridge's and quit bragging about how they beat teams that they are supposed to beat. Why do you think they scrimmage the good teams in the pre-season????? To keep that 'L' off their record. Admit it....... their non-region schedule is weak !!!! Goatman OUT !

When Maryville steps up and plays the Big Boys (Riverdale, Oak Ridge,etc) they might get some respect. Until then they will just be another mediocre team that is over rated. Step up and play somebodyand see where you stand Rebs and quit hiding behind a panzy schedule.

This Maryville team still has major BUGS to work out (right personel on field for special teams, unforced penalties, missed tackels, etc;) before they can be considered elite.

FINALLY !!!!!! A Maryville fan ready to step up to the plate and accept the challenge of 5A. Quit hiding sheep and come out into the pasture.

Why won't Maryville's varsity play OR in a regular season game? It would be great for both communities. Also, this game looks better on paper than tonites ABC match-up with the Bengals and whoever they play.

(AP) Maryville, TN Several folks who attend Maryville High School Football games, also known in the community as the "Trailer Nation", were detained by authorities for several hours after Friday nights football game against rival Knoxville Central. The "Trailer Nation" was questioned about possible links to a sprinkler malfuction that caused the field to be soaking wet during the game. Sasquatch Miller, aka, "Big Boy" , told authorities, "We didn't have anything to do with the sprinkler, the sewage, that's a different story. " The local officials continue to investigate.

The "trailer nation" will be out in full force tonight in Maryville. This should be an exciting game as Knox Central pays a trip over to that piece of garbage Maryville call's a football field. The 'bacar spitting boys and their toothless women will all be out in support of their overrated Rebels. I hear their will be a huge bon fire after the game supported by the trailer nation. You will be required to show your govt ID and food stamp card to prove you are from Maryville to be admitted to the bon fire. Myself and Mr Newman will enjoy the dazed and confused look on the trailer nation's face as Central rolls and spoils the little burning tire swar'e.
