Cyclone Homer: Unless your prediction is in jest, you arent much of a Homer. Happy Valley will be ready to play, but I think so will the cyclones. The game against Hampton should have told Elizabethton that every conference game will be a dogfight. Turnovers and shot selection will be keys in this game. If HV shoots the ball well, they may be able to pull it off.

OSU Brutus: The score in the EHS-THS game is deceiving. Midway through the fourth quarter, it was a four point game. officials called fouls on a THS and EHS player on the same play. They ended up putting THS Watkins on the line, and EHS's coach got a technical for protesting the decision. THS turned this into a six point possession. Watkins and Carter both played very well for the Vikings but Blevins really was outstanding with 20 points. Boone and Tennessee High should be a great matchup. As for the cyclones being a one man show, I disagree. Not only did EHS have Baughman still out with an ankle injury, two senior starters have the flu and played very little, scoring a combined two points according to the box score. Junior Valnesha Redd played very inspired scoring 13 and being all over the court on defense. The bright side for the cyclones was the play of their younger players. They made their run with freshmen and sophomores out there with Redd. Led by freshman center Petrowksi's 12 points the freshmen and sophomores combined to score 35 of the cyclones 50 points. In Baughman's absence, this team has found new weapons which will only help them down the road when Baughman returns.

If Carter and Baughman are both out for the game, then that should cancel each other out. If Carter is back at near full strength, then the Vikings, at home, would be the clear favorite. Both teams have good depth. It should be a good game.

why dont the girls have a tournament of regional/national distinction over the holidays? TN is a hotbed of girls BB so it would make sense. Or am I missing something?
