Why is nobody giving Hampton a chance. Most are predicting a 20+ pt loss. I haven’t seen WC play but are they really 20 pts better than Hampton?
17 points better with 2 min to play.

McKenzie or VB one will walk away with the silver ball, but these are the best two teams down there, IMO.
There aren’t two better teams than Wayne County I don’t think. They may not win it, but there aren’t two better teams.
I think Wayne County wins it all fwiw.

Just over 50%
Since no one else offered predictions, I guess I win!
Also, for those at the UC/GCHS game tonight? What on earth was Coach Sisco thinking? Bad enough that he got a tech in OT to basically cost them the game, but then he ran out on to the floor during play at the end of the game before his assistant stopped him.

Congrats to both Fairview and Giles on their victories tonight!
Also, what happened at the end of the Fairview game? Did any of their kids get tossed? Heard it was a very ugly scene.

Moore County has been playing with a heavy heart after one of their seniors tragically passed away a few weeks ago. McKenzie is obviously very talented and made a nice run last year.

That was EXACTLY my point....had FvHS and Giles played the last 6yrs, I doubt it'd be 19-0. Fvhs boys basketball has been, historically bad. More wins in last 6yrs than nearly previous 20.
Nothing but the best to Giles...team is great, coach does it right, great fans. Good luck!
No doubt about it. They have came a long way since the 103-44 game back when Tyler was a senior.

GC is a great group and well coached! They hv a chance to go very deep.
Another crazy stat...1st time GC and FvHS hv played in 6 yrs.....hmmm?
Not sure if you're just finding this out, but Giles County hasn't exactly been going very far in the postseason the last few seasons.
-
Pretty crazy stat: GCHS is 19-0 versus Fairview since CoachT was launched.

Kinda tells you all you need to know about Giles County when the Region MVP is held to just 2 points tonight and they still win by 20.
What an unselfish team. Different kid on any given night can go off for them. They have been a joy to watch this season.
Hats off and best of luck to Fairview. They have a solid team even with the McCoy injury.
And how about the crowd tonight? It felt like half of Giles County (and several Richland parents, coaches and players (!!!)) were there. 1.5 hour road trip with the threat of severe weather in the forecast. Wow.
-
Should be a fun one Thursday night with a 2.5 plus hour bus ride on the line.
Fairview can beat Giles. Giles can beat Fairview.

BTW, I couldn’t help but notice the amkount of students at the GC game. They had a lot of support. Got me thinking how many students they have. 698! Does that mean they are going to AAA next year?
This is correct. Same district as Franklin County, Tullahoma, Murfreesboro Magnet, Marshall County and Lawrence County.

Audio feed: Giles County vs. Harpeth (via Pulaski Citizen Live)
Also, I think @PCSportsPage and @WadeNeely are doing live updates on Twitter.

Fairview will either win big or survive a tight scare.
Loretto will win relatively easy.
Cheatham County will probably run away.
Giles will either play tight/nervous and have to win a hard-fought game. Or get back to their old ways and bury like 10 3-pointers to win easily.
-
Elijah Groves from East Robertson put on quite the show last night versus a very solid Richland squad.

I’ll take the win, we still don’t look like we’re playing our best though. #23 and #12 from richland are some pretty good ball players though.
Definitely a fun one. 12 and 23 are both Sophomores as is 15. Let’s do it again in about a month in the Boro.

We have to make it out of the Barn in Loretto first. Last game in "The Barn" so you know it will be a crazy atmosphere. Not to mention Loretto has a really good team. Gonna be an exciting few days for the young Raiders.
I guess more that Loretto is a 2A game it doesn’t really matter much for the post season. ER is the defending state champs and a team that if they made the tourney could play again.
-
Richland and East Robertson were forced to weather cancel early in the season, but wanted to get this one in.
Should be a fantastic game on Saturday.

What's the latest on this? Would David Barger from Cleveland get in the mix? Or is that just wishful thinking? Great coach and leader of young men. Been around some great teams over the years, too.

Alcoa will win big! Sweetwater was descent at best. Not taking anything away from their season. GP was an excellent team this year and got throttled this past week.
Sweetwater is a 3-point favorite over GP according to the computers. Not that it matters either way.

Wuz definately pulling for sweetwater just cause of that drive.
Would have been a shorter drive to Sweetwater, that's for sure, but they just didn't have the horses or drive at the end of the game to hang with GCHS.
-
Not sure that anyone has talk smacked all year.
The Giles County thread has been quiet all season long. Everyone here knows how good Alcoa is. If anything, the Alcoa fans are the ones imagining the "smack talk."

Had to comment to clear things up. Martin is a good coach!!!
Heard nothing but good things about Coach Martin and his staff. Excited to see this Sweetwater bunch up close tonight!
X'Zorion Randolph WILL play tonight for GCHS. The question is — how much? If Giles gets off to a good start, they may not give him many carries.
-
This game will be the first big test from a 3A team for Giles County since Alcoa last year.
Loudon was extremely well coached — maybe the best 3A coaching staff I've seen outside of Alcoa and Giles — but their talent was down (obviously) from last year. And it showed.
Giles had three turnovers and still won 21-0.
Sweetwater should be a much more talented team, but will they win the coaching battle?
If Giles County cleans up their offensive mistakes from last week, I think it will be close early and we see another one of those second-half surges from GCHS and they win by 10+.
If they don't clean it up? Buckle up.

He literally said ‘VB and McKenzie are the two best teams there and one will walk away…’
I said there aren’t two better teams than WC and I said they would win it all…
Maybe he struggles with reading comprehension.
