Game is very close to having multiple ejections. Emotions are high. GC had a fan run on the field right before the half.
Wheels totally off the wagon.

Score?

Clay is going to need 30 more from Strong to win this one tomorrow, but I still like Clay to win 66-61.

NG was in this same position in 2018. This isn’t just some fluke situation. I’d like to know how much NG film you have watched. Out of the 37 games they have played, they have scored 75 or more 18 times.
If the press is so effective against them, I wonder how they scored so often when the tempo is high?
Because they play bad teams?

NG doesn't have any ball handlers outside of 33 and he is not a press breaker. If you press NG, they are going to struggle. Clay by 20+.

Campbell and Foulks had double figures. Loftis is two points shy of 1,000 and missed most of his sophomore year with an injury. The other rotational players play hard on both ends and know their role. I am sure they are thankful for Shultz but you don’t win 33 and make the final four with one player. Well coached team. Very deserving of all they have achieved.
I don't think they are undeserving, but they can't stay on the floor with Clay County. At least a 20 point win.

Must mean richLand was just awful then.
NG was literally led by a German exchange student lol. You got gifted one of the best players in the state. Be thankful.

Richland got outcoached. Could have forced 30 TO's if they pressed but never really did. Watch Clay press them tomorrow and see what happens. I predict 58-38

Get ready for full court press from Clay if NG has no ball handling
I don't think I have seen a worse ball handling team make it this far. They have one player that really is even a serviceable ball handler. He really is a good passing post through. Best in the A tourney probably. He makes good decisions with the ball, but the rest of the team is so subpar compared to the competition.

Having 1 guy go 1-17 is absolutely brutal.
Ouch. Yeah. Completely takes you out of the game. 0-7 from 3 too.

Score on Madison and Clay? Is it over??
57-55 Clay. Madison had a good look at a 3 at the buzzer.

Strong from Clay is legit. Maybe outside of Miller from Houston the best player in the tournament.

This is a heck of a game. Back and forth
One of these two teams are most likely the champ.

Sounds like the better team did win today. When you end being out rebounded by 16 you're going to get more 2nd chance 3 point shots. Richland won the TO battle with 5 less TO's. Schultz had a killer game going 8-13 from the field, 1-2 from the 3, and 2-2 from the free throw line, not to mention his 17 rebounds (5 shy of Richlands entire teams rebounds)
the point was Schultz is NG. The rest of that team wouldn't be near enough to make it this far. They have no ball handlers outside of Schultz. Schultz is really good though. The rest of the team complement him. As a team, NG isn't very good. They have just one really good player with some decent players.
Either team they play next will win by 20-25.
-
Good hard fought game. NG getting up almost double the 3 point attempts really hurt Richland's chance at a win.
Offensive rebounding was a key aspect of the win for NG along with the 3 point attempts. The better team didn't win today and that loss has to sting for Richland.
-
Looks like NG has this one. Up 9 with 2:31 to play. Schultz is a problem for anyone.
Tough end for Richland. NG has attempted double the 3 point attempts as Richland and thats the difference in the ball game. -

Who is the kid for North Greene that averages close to 30?
33 Chriss Schultz. German exchange student. Crazy to get a player like that when the rest of your team is a bunch of a decent players.

All tied going to the 4th.
Great ball game.
-
26-26 Halftime. NG dominating the boards. Schultz is getting whatever he wants once he gets position. A rebound shy of a double double at the half.
For Richland they had to continue to get the rim if the 3 ball isn't going to fall at a 40% clip like it has all season.
-
15-10 Richland after one. NG has had success getting the ball inside, but so far the speed of Richland's guards has presented problems for NG.
-
The big post for Summertown makes it so difficult to score inside.
Loretto got an early lead today with easy buckets inside.
I think for Loretto to win, Weathers might need to match her mom’s state tourney career high.
Weathers will need 35 points to win this one.
-
I think Summertown's physicality is too much for Loretto to overcome. They just beat you up for 32 minutes.

Loretto keeps shooting like this, no one is going to beat them. 1st half against Clay Co. shooting over 60% again from the field, again.
Thru 1.5 games: 36 of 59 (61.0%) from field; 11 of 22 (50%) from 3pt; 14 of 17 (82.4%) from FT line.
Well they are 0-3 against their next opponent lol.
