  1. I had heard about the WC turnover bug all year but it was unbelievable how much they just couldn’t get out of their own way. I counted 5 trips inside the 10 yard line for the Wildcats and they came away with no points on all those possessions. This game was all about penalties and turnovers for both teams. Hard to watch, no flow to the game. Lebanon travels to Rossview and could finish anywhere from 2nd to 4th.
  2. Didn’t know that the Lavergne QB didn’t play vs WC. He put up huge #’s passing vs LHS that led to the late rally. Yeah Lavergne didn’t have much outside of him and that WR #3. That makes me feel better about this game. Go Blue Devils!
  3. WC is on a 7 game win streak in this series and most of them have not been close. Lebanon last won in 2009.
  4. How did WC do with turnovers against Lavergne? I know that’s been a big problem most of the year. I’m curious to know if Tyrique Cooper (RB) and Toby Adewale (WR/DB) will play for Lebanon in this game? They both left the Coffee Co game with injuries but not sure what they were specifically. Should be a great crowd at this game
  5. A Lebanon win in either of their last two games (@ WC, @ Rossview) would give them their first true playoff berth since 2007. If WC wins out (LHS, @Station Camp) and Lebanon loses out then WC goes to the playoffs. So very important game Friday night. It seems like Lebanon's hitting a little bit of a wall right now. After jumping out to a 27-7 lead over Station Camp they had to hold off a furious rally for a 34-32 win with SC failing to convert a 2pt conversion to tie. Then the next week Lebanon looked pretty lifeless in a 19-14 loss @Coffee Co. Mobile QBs seem to give Lebanon problems. What type of system does WC run? I know they beat LaVergne 38-14 last time out and Lebanon beat Lavergne 31-26 earlier this season. They obviously both were shutout by MJ, while LHS beat Hendersonville and Hendersonville beat WC. Those are the common opponents thus far. Momentum seems to be on WC’s side right now so I’ll say they win 24-17.
  6. This is actually the Lebanon-Station Camp game. Lebanon built a 27-7 lead early in 2nd half and then SC made a furious rally and had a chance at a 2pt conversion to tie it but inexplicably threw the ball even though their back up QB was running all over Lebanon. Pass incomplete, Lebanon wins 34-32. RB Tyrique Cooper scored 4 tds and had about 230 yds rushing. QB for Station Camp #7 ended up with 4 tds and 280 yds rushing. 4th straight win for Lebanon, now 4-3 and 2-1 in region 4-6a.
  7. Lebanon wins 41-20. First 3 game win streak since 2009.
  8. Yep I normally understand wanting balance and 28 rushes 22 passes is pretty balanced. But if that was more like 38 rushes 12 passes Hendersonville wins IMO. Lebanon was something like 53 rushes 11 passes. Some of those rushes were meant to be passes though
  9. Great win tonight for the Blue Devils. Great answering TD drive after Hendersonville had tied it up with about 9:30 left on clock. LHS went on about an 8 minute drive converting several third downs along the way. I believe the pass to the tight end that set up first and goal was the only pass on the drive. Forced Hendersonville to burn a couple TO's in the process. Then great kickoff coverage forced them to try to go 81 yds in about a minute and a half. I thought Hendersonville went through stretches where they went away from their bread and butter too much. The double handoff Lebanon really had trouble stopping. Surprised to not see more of it. #3 for Hville is a great back. What grade is he? I held my breath every time he touched the ball. One week at a time. Next up is Antioch.
  10. Lebanon survives a late Lavergne rally for a 31-26 win. For three quarters Lebanon played as complete a game as I can remember seeing from them in a while. Offense ran the ball consistently well led by QB Chandler Crite and had a big pass 64 yd TD on first play of game. Mulaski even hit a 43 yd FG that hit the upright and bounced in. Defensively Lebanon gave up lots of yards but collected three turnovers and made a couple big 4th down stops including one at the 2 yd line. They then ran 98 yds for a TD on the next play for a 31-6 3rd qtr lead. 4th qtr was all lavergne as they opened it up and threw with lots of success vs Lebanon D. Lavergne QB ended up with 423 yds passing and was throwing some bombs!! Made some nice throws on the run as well escaping pressure from Lebanon dline. Great wide receiver too who had about 380 yds receiving. Lavergne scored 3 4th qtr TD's but Lebanon survived some poor late clock management, picked up a key late 1st down to run out the clock to get the win. Lebanon with 332 rushing yards.
  11. I'm going to say 21-20 Lebanon tonight.
  12. Lebanon had 60 yards of offense for the night including negative 2 yds in 2nd half. You can't make this stuff up. What a joke. And the worst part is if the conditions hadn't been complete crap MJ would have probably won by 60+. And Lebanon's effort still wouldn't have yielded 100 yds of offense. The offensive effort is the most frustrating part. The starting QB is the only playmaker I've seen and he took such a beating last week at Mcgavock running for his life that he wasn't even available last night. Lebanon has more guy's that stand around and watch the play get blown up than have the guts to step up and try to make a difference. Kudos to the defense. Those guys have fought hard each week and I thought they did last night as well considering the entire game was played on their end of the field. Defense is playing like they want to see this program turned around. Offensively we're seeing typical Lebanon 0-10 effort.
  13. Saw in the Lebanon Democrat that Lebanon junior QB Chandler Crite will miss the game with an undisclosed injury. Probably a result of several sacks he took last Friday. Lebanon's best playmaker
  14. What is the last season that LHS defeated MJ? Seems like MJ has won about the last 10 or so.
  15. Lebanon is showing some improvement but lacking consistency right now. They played a really nice 1st half at Mcgavock but really struggled with penalties and pass protection in 2nd half. Plus the ref error was ridiculous. But I like what I'm seeing from the Gentry regime so far. Still think the Blue Devils can notch some W's in the back half of schedule if they can stay relatively healthy. But I predict pain this Friday night MJ 45 L 7
  16. McGavock edge in size, speed, athleticism makes this a poor matchup for Lebanon IMO. I'll say McGavock 28 Lebanon 14
  17. Steel City, the series I want to see renewed is Gallatin. If Lebanon ever gets back on its feet I'd like to see them play Oakland or Riverdale again. As far as the parking goes I park in front of the school. Saves some time getting out. Ridiculous that there is only one entrance/exit from the school.
  18. Granted it's just one week's worth of scores and I hate to read too much into them but I'd guess Lebanon's best chances for wins this year would be Antioch, at Station Camp (Antioch beat SC 20-16 last night) and at Coffee Co (34-8 loser to Franklin Co.)
  19. Two areas where I felt like Lebanon really hurt themselves offensively tonight. Clock management-two consecutive delay of games around midfield in 3Q. Basically killed a pivotal drive where they had good field position and a chance to go down and grab the lead. And for crying out loud if they're going to line up in the shotgun then they've got to have a center that can get the ball to the qb without rolling it or snapping it right at his feet. Disrupted the timing on several plays and led to playing behind the sticks too often. Hope to see improvement as the year goes on and hopefully a couple of wins.
  20. Lebanon loses starters Cam Oliver, Jakeese Turner and 6th man David Covile. Eddie Jackson and Noah Mulaski will be 3 year senior starters and rising sophomore Jeremiah Hastings will return to run point. Blue Devils should be solid again. I also think Beech and WC will round out top 3.
  21. 4 total. 3 that played significant amount. Cameron Oliver will by far be the toughest to replace. He was, IMO, the heart and soul of this team.
  22. hated to see Lebanon's year end but proud of the season they had. Bball is a tournament sport though and that MJ group is playing really well right now. Looking forward to the 2017-18 Blue Devils.
  23. Wow what a night for 9aaa! Big road wins for MJ and Beech, I definitely didn't see either of those coming. MJ and Lebanon Tues night in a win or go home game should be intense!
  24. Gotcha, thanks for the clarification
  25. Panther are you saying Northwest & Lebanon in the region final or just move on handily on Saturday? I think Springfield may be to much for Lebanon in the semis. Hope I'm wrong though.
