  2. OK give me an anatomy refresher: I know ACL and I know MCL but what or where is PCL? How does it compare to a torn ACL? (usually 6 months without complications)
  3. We have a 13 game home winning streak going beginning last season and I would like to start next season with that streak sitting at 14! I believe the Dawgs always play their best ball in front of the home folks! Dadoffour, just curious, did you make the drive up to the UC 4 yrs ago and participate in the loss? You're predicting the Crusaders are going to come up to the DAWG HOUSE and smack us with a 25 point (or more) loss? Everytime we get to make the trip to Chatty town we have ended our season with that trip. We are planning on keeping that tradition alive for the "traveling" team! Bigbird, as for home-cooking, Clay County does have some of the best open pit bar-b-que around. Ought to try some while you're visiting. Its the only thing that will taste good come Monday night!   4. WOW! Was that a WILD ONE or what? Just a little info for those that weren't there and missed this one: Unless I mis-counted there were about 5 HEART-STOPPING turnovers committed in the last 45 seconds. The 2 FTs that Tyler Edwards attempted with 9 secs left (made 1 - "the game winner") were the ONLY FTs attempted by CCHS. Clarkrange only shot 6 FTs the entire game - 2 in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and NONE in the 4th. The most mind blowing tidbit: For the last 7.3 seconds of the game NO ONE HAD POSSESSION OF THE BALL! Bodies all over the floor, the ball acting like a "pinball" bouncing off player after player, players slamming into one another, and the clock just kept ticking without anyone ever securing it or attempting a shot! Both teams left it all (literally) on the floor tonite. Everyone in Watertown got their money's worth. One of those games where neither team deserved to lose but knowing someone was going to. Both teams' fans showed the other the RESPECT they deserved when they were called to get their trophy. Made ME proud to be part of DISTRICT 7A! Good Luck To The Dawgs and The Buffs in your journey to the BORO!
  5. Well, just about 3 hours from deciding who goes riding on the Chattanooga Choo-Choo! Time to hit the road toward Watertown! Everyone for Clay County and Clarkrange have a safe trip and see y'all there!
  6. You can tell alot about a team by who their competition is night in and night out! Even CoachT believes there is no comparison! CSAS - Strength of Schedule = 87th Pickett County - Strength of Schedule = 7th Don't believe CSAS would be 10-0 if they played in D7A!
  7. I believe BOTH Region 4A (District 7A) teams have punched their ticket to the 'Boro!!   8. Clay Countians would love nothing more than welcoming the Temple Crusaders with a 2nd dose of Upper Cumberland hospitality "BULLDAWG STYLE". I know the 1st dose left a very "bitter" taste in their mouths since they were heavily favored to return to the 'Boro 4 yrs ago but left the Dawg House heading back to Chattanooga with the end of their season in tow.
  9. The one thing I noticed about the CHS-FCS game was that the first half FCS made the BIG mistake of leaving Brandon open out on the floor and he made them pay BIG TIME! In the second half Coach Bradshaw put Teeter (6'5")? on him and his long wing span really limited Brandon's open looks at the basket so the only points he was able to get was slashing to the basket or at the FT line. 7A teams especially Clay County knows not to make that fatal mistake so I am sure young Mr. Upchurch will have a Bulldawg in his shorts all night long on Thursday just like he did in the D7A Championship. As for the CCHS-JC game, the Bulldawgs got stronger and kept extending the lead as the game went on. JC had a terrible night at the FT line while Clay had one of their best something like 27 of 31. After Clarkrange got down early, the run they made was 24 to 8 and thats gonna do most teams in and glad to say it did the FCS Commanders in tonight. They never did quite get over the shell shock! Let's Load 'em Up for an All 7A Final and may the better team (Thursday night) win!

  11. Kayla Gibson does play for PCHS this year. She wears #3 and plays guard. She is a good ball handler and outside threat for the Lady Cats.

Another side bar to this tourney...Now that we know the Nashville Association referees (term used loosely) has been assigned to our Regional tournament, I'm just curious how all the 7A and 8A fans think the tournament will be after getting a glimpse of what is to come in the Semis and Championship? I was reading on the girls board as well plus was in Gordonsville Fri. night and witnessed first hand and then back in Celina and watched those as well. The themes that I see running thru all the games and comments are: inconsistancy, bodies all over the floor, ticky-tack fouls or no-call, or mega fouls where you are lucky to have enough left on the floor to finish the game (4 out of 5 starters fouled out for GHS @ CCHS). Clay shoots almost 50 FTs and Gordonsville barely gets 10 for the game! I know how the Clay County fans felt after leaving Gordonsville and I heard how the Gordonsville fans felt after leaving Celina. What about the other locations except the Clarkrange scrimmage (just kidding). What about JC, FCS, Westmoreland, and Trousdale Co. Just curious if they are being consistant....CONSISTANTLY BAD!!!! /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry:" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

  21. Hey. I know Lamar very well and yes he subs very early in obvious blowouts. The point of my posts was showing that Clarkrange is very capable of beating a team by 50 points. No, I too believe he would not intentionally run up the score on a weaker team with his starters. But if the other team can't stop his 2nd or 3rd team then I feel like all bets are off on what the final margin is. Worden55 I promise you if you are behind by 40 then it really doesn't matter if the final margin is: 41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50, or any number greater than that. IT is still an ole-fashioned butt kicking! PLUS: the new mercy rule took some time away that could have been used for even MORE scoring. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  22. First off, congrats to the Tigerettes on winning a hard fought back and forth game! I don't envy your position. If you or ANYBODY stays within 15 of the Lady Buffs, consider it a moral victory. That is the only VICTORIES that will be had against Clarkrange and their 39-0 season (they are 6 games away from completing). Gordonsville and Clay County: 1st qtr: Tigerettes get first of 5 three-pointers in the half. Clay County starts full court press and Clay scores next 16 points. KEY: Kirk gets 3 fouls in 1st quarter. 18-4 Clay Co. 2nd qtr: Gordonsville ICE COLD from everywhere except3 point arc. Battles back and Clay only scores 4. Halftime 23-22 Gordonsville. Rest of game was very physical and very sloppily played (ball handling wise) by both teams. Turnovers kept either team from extending a lead. 3rd qtr star for Clay..Sydney Roach (FR) Her defense, assists, passing, shooting and timely scoring kept Clay county in it all the way. 2nd half star for Tigerettes...The point guard Wright(#11). She pushed the ball up the floor for GHS and found the open girl and knocked down several key shots as well. Observation: Coach agee's plan was not to stop Amelia Kirk but play solid position defense when she got the ball down low and let her take herself out with her agressiveness. Plan worked Maynord did her job and got Kirk in early foul trouble and later fouled her out. Gordonville hits 8 threes for the game (not double figures at least). Not a great night at FT line allowed Clay to stay close. Clay County Scoring ------------ Gordonsville Scoring S.   25. Here's my theory: Last time Lady Dawgs ventured into the jungle they were mauled by the Tigerettes as they lit em up for 13 three-pointers! So here ya go: IF Gordonsville wins Friday night its not going to be by Clay County giving up double digit 3-pointers. They will have to win the inside game and I don't think they can match up with Amelia Kirk.
