  1. yeah he could have gone to just about any college because they all wanted him because they all saw the potential in him. but you gotta remember he didnt grow up here so he wanted to go back because he knew none of the colleges. he didnt know the tradition of duke and north carolina. he didnt know how the country gets wrapped up in march madness. imagine moving to spain and having teams wanting you to play for them, and colleges in america wanting you to play for you. which one are you gonna choose as an america. he has trimmed down, by about 30 pounds no joke. he looks completely different. yeah he inst playing much, but neither did his brother until his final year in spain.

  2. like its been said many times before in post like these; memphis is a basketball city. it lives and breathes the sport. then comes football. some of this has to do probably with teams like the grizzlies and tigers. where as in middle tennessee they probably focus more on sports like football, because of the titans, and then i guess they do baseball, just because. darn, i dont know why on baseball. oh well. but memphis is a basketball town, and a football, and you cant argue about football because Germantown won the state, and Melrose got to the semifinals.

  3. dont give the title to BA so fast. you know they do have to play two more games. and they do have to play Bishop Byrne which is a team that was ranked higher than them in the last AP poll. also you have to give some respect to briarcrest and cbhs because probably some of the reason why their opponents shot so terribly was because of their defense.

  4. how has anyone not mentioned brandon wright. he his ranked as high #2 in the nation for the sophomore class. however i would have to give my vote to thaddeus young because i believe that he does have a more complete game than wright, and if i heard right every time that the two clashed in AAU action this summer young did more than just dominate and stop wright.

  5. i didnt have as a close a view, however my initial reaction was that it didnt go in but that the refs were gonna count it. i thought that they would have counted it so they could have gone into over, just because they didnt want to end the game on such a controversial call. also something to note, at the end of the game two of the refs met to decide if the shot went in. they were both the sidelines ref. the ref that was right under the basket stood off to the side as the other two refs deliberated. i will admit that the ref who stood off to the side has a bad reputation as a ref, but still he had the clearest shot. he was right under the basket. oh well, its not written anywhere that teams that get third place in the region cant win a state title.
