  1. i hit the open shot didnt i. but how about getting back to the subject of who r the state champs for next year.
  2. lil jon, j-wright, i'll tell coach to let you guard him next year and see what happens. just dont let him dunk on you like he did this year.
  3. yeah, with wright in D-2 i gotta go with them for the next two state championships, and look for ECS to step in for the next one.
  4. does CPA have pretty much the same returning line up from the their semifinal finish. if they do, than i'm gonna give them my vote. if they have lost a lot of seniors this year, i would have to go else where. White Station will probably win, but not by double digits.
  5. as you all know, next years basketball season has already started. and for a lucky few it started as soon as the tournament in murfreesboro ended. who are everyone's guess' for state champions next year in every classificaiton.
  6. who are the top soccer players in tennessee
  7. well, hold on, let me modify my post. any u19 teams in memphis.
  8. yeah he could have gone to just about any college because they all wanted him because they all saw the potential in him. but you gotta remember he didnt grow up here so he wanted to go back because he knew none of the colleges. he didnt know the tradition of duke and north carolina. he didnt know how the country gets wrapped up in march madness. imagine moving to spain and having teams wanting you to play for them, and colleges in america wanting you to play for you. which one are you gonna choose as an america. he has trimmed down, by about 30 pounds no joke. he looks completely different. yeah he inst playing much, but neither did his brother until his final year in spain.
  9. anybody know of any U19 basketball teams. if you do please list them, and preferably a way to get in contact with that team.
  10. like its been said many times before in post like these; memphis is a basketball city. it lives and breathes the sport. then comes football. some of this has to do probably with teams like the grizzlies and tigers. where as in middle tennessee they probably focus more on sports like football, because of the titans, and then i guess they do baseball, just because. darn, i dont know why on baseball. oh well. but memphis is a basketball town, and a football, and you cant argue about football because Germantown won the state, and Melrose got to the semifinals.
  11. what about the coach in tennessee who has the most wins of all-time. jerry peters of MUS. if youre talking about the best coaches you have to include him because of an accomplishment like that.
  12. i think this person means the league, NBA, in which case i wouldnt say that that from Cosby is going. just how it is. keep working though, you never know what might happen.
  13. dont give the title to BA so fast. you know they do have to play two more games. and they do have to play Bishop Byrne which is a team that was ranked higher than them in the last AP poll. also you have to give some respect to briarcrest and cbhs because probably some of the reason why their opponents shot so terribly was because of their defense.
  14. now that we know who's playing, who's going to win?
  15. how has anyone not mentioned brandon wright. he his ranked as high #2 in the nation for the sophomore class. however i would have to give my vote to thaddeus young because i believe that he does have a more complete game than wright, and if i heard right every time that the two clashed in AAU action this summer young did more than just dominate and stop wright.
  16. yeah, technically this wasnt an upset, however everyone on the street knows that Lausanne should have won. and with wins over both of the teams in the regional championship one must beg the question of is the tournament seeding off, or was this an upset. my vote is both.
  17. A team that really should still be playing but got upset is Lausanne. the two time defending regional champions and last years D-2 state runners up had a 26-5 record before losing to a team with a losing record in the quarterfinals of the regional tournament.
  18. i didnt have as a close a view, however my initial reaction was that it didnt go in but that the refs were gonna count it. i thought that they would have counted it so they could have gone into over, just because they didnt want to end the game on such a controversial call. also something to note, at the end of the game two of the refs met to decide if the shot went in. they were both the sidelines ref. the ref that was right under the basket stood off to the side as the other two refs deliberated. i will admit that the ref who stood off to the side has a bad reputation as a ref, but still he had the clearest shot. he was right under the basket. oh well, its not written anywhere that teams that get third place in the region cant win a state title.
  19. Bishop Byrne and cbhs are in the west region's finals for saturday night.
  20. there was definately a huge, and most unlikely upset last night by harding beating Lausanne.
  21. carlos taylor, Lausanne. over a 1000 points and he had to play behind marc gasol, memphis' leading scorer at 26 points a game, for 2 years.
  22. i dont know who's gonna win this region, but watch out for the Lausanne girls team. we're gonna win it all.
  23. yeah, well guess what liljon Bishop Byrne is gonna make you cry next time yall play. quote me on that.
  24. haha, fine you win coachtfan.
