  1. Picks: CBHS over USN Catholic over Ryan MUS over Webb BGA over ECS CBHS over Catholic BGA over MUS BGA over CBHS in an epic game for the State Title
  2. BGA has got the talent and senior leadership to take home a State title. Walton's absence in Round 1 vs ECS should not knock them out. Once he returns, I think the Wildcats will roll.

    BGA vs. ECS

Round 2 will be a much closer game. ECS will not come out as flat as they appeared in the game at BGA. In addition the Wildcats will be hampered without the services of Walton in goal. Regardless, I think BGA will grind it out to win 2-1.
  4. BGA will win 2-0. They are the best team in the midstate and this game will prove it.
  5. 1. BGA- Team deep with senior leadership dominates all competition. 2. BHS- Undefeated but untested, matchup with BGA ends all arguments. 3. Franklin- The Rebels play hard, but lack in talent compared to BGA and BHS. 4. Centennial- The Cougars are soft and without a big scoring threat. 5. Page- Very bad, but better than the rest. Honorable Mention: Fairview- Look for this dangerous side to challenge the best when they take the pitch. Just kidding.

    Top Seniors

As far as goal keepers go, Will Walton has got to be as good as any out there. While going for his third straight all-state selection, Walton has led this team to undefeated DII record. This senior laden squad is a favorite for a championship run in May.
  7. The BA/Baylor score is no big suprise, pretty much what I expected. Though I have never seen Byrne play, I think the MBA matchup will be very interesting. MBA plays tough D and if they can get shots to fall then they could pull off the upset. With that said I still think Byrne will win, but it would not suprise me to see a close game.
  8. Yes, FrankL and Balla66 are telling the truth. Boone is injured and Slay, if I am not mistaken, transfered.
  9. Now that the region tournaments have been played, who will take home the golden ball? Post your picks here. BA over Baylor Byrne over MBA Briarcrest over KCHS BGA over CBHS BA over Byrne BGA over Briarcrest And in round IV of the series, BGA over BA for the DII state crown.

    BGA vs. BA

Id like to give my congrats again. It was a great game in front of a packed house and an absolutely rockin crowd. BGA outa finally get some respect after the win, they sure do deserve it.
  11. BGA beat MBA in a low scoring 2OT thriller tonight to advance to the region final Friday night at 830. The final was 42-39 (I think). It was a great game, the most exciting of the tournament thus far. The officiating was poor, but it was equally bad for both teams so it did not decide the outcome of the game. Really exciting, hope the championship game is as good.
  12. BGA...They moved in extra bleachers along the endzones and it gives the place a great, arena like feel. It is my favorite gym in DII (of course) and it is the best it has looked in years with big rosters hanging beside the scoreboard (another new addition). The only thing looking better than the gym is the Wildcat team on the floor. I'll take this oppurtunity to post my region picks BGA over MTCS MBA over JPII Ryan over USN BA over Sweanne BGA over MBA BA over Ryan 3rd place: Ryan over MBA 1st place: BGA over BA Went exactly with the seeding. I do not forsee any big upsets, I think this one will pretty much go off as planned, but you never know in tournament time.
  13. BGA beat MTCS by 35...i forget the exact score but it was somthing like 64-29.
  14. But of course, Franklin and BGA split the rivalry this year, each taking one in the others house. So we can say they were the toughest competition outside of DII this year.
  15. Lawrence County maybe? BGA won 55-50, but there may have been a tougher game in there somewhere.
