Good to see this game close to give MP confidence to know they can win the close games. Could help for the playoffs. Congrats to the MP Tiger Team for the undefeated season. Hope the success continues for the playoffs. especially the 1st game cause i wont be able to make that game cause i have to work but off the next Friday so hopefully yall will still be in the playoffs!!!!!!!!!1

Jemarcus Webster also gets my vote. Remember this is the only 1a player to be voted preseason all state on both sides of the ball. He is certainly lived up to the expectations and often exceeding them. Also people have to take in the consideration that he does only play in half the games and still puts up the numbers. Definitely gets the most attention on the field when the Tigers are on the field. However he is surrounded by other good players including Adam Nolan (prolly should also consider for the lineman award), Theo Fennessee, RoRo Fennessee, and others. But Jemarcus should be MR.FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!! Anyone know where this kid is thinking about going???????? Know he prolly could play D-1 ball!!!!!

I will agree about Roderick Whitaker. I believe he is only a jr. He is only going to improve. I definitely could see him playing somewhere in college as a safety. I believe the hit on Ruddle was the hardest hit I have ever seen in high school football. And on kickoffs a buddy of mine came up with a nickname for him-"The Wedgebuster" cause he is coming full speed looking to lay somebody on the your know what. Fun guy to watch play! Cant say enough about these Tigers. They have definitely proved themselves to me. I never had a doubt in my mind about this team! Go Tigers!!!

Theo Fennessee crossed the 1000 yd mark. Congrats!! Not sure for the stats. But we were definitely the best football team. MP just outplayed them! MPs defense was great. We shut Ruddle down! I will give him credit where credit is due. He did do a good job of passing the ball. He does have a cannon on that arm. But MP was way too much! Please Wayne County fans dont get on here and say yall shut Jemarcus down. We never had to throw the ball because we were just playing smash mouth in your face football! Good luck though to the Wildcats in the playoffs. Represent 6a! Continue the success MP!!!

I agree MPFAN. Not sure about taking that staff over this one but it would be close. People from MP are forgetting that it was just past his prime and he stuck with the old plays. He was a great coach when he first started and throughout his career. but after his prime, things just didnt change but now it has. Both are or were GREAT coaches. But this should not be a concern right now. MP is playing probably the best ball I have ever seen. And tomorrow night is prolly the biggest game of the year. So lets dont make this topic of coaches a distraction and let the boys go out and play hard and beat WC and bring the region championship home!!!!!! along with the region mvp (webster)!!!!! Man this thread really grew. I started what the night after or the next morning after fridays game. This is what i call fans supporting their teams and thats what i like to see. glad for everybodys response. i am definitely coming back for this one. coming home from college.WOULD NOT MISS THIS GAME. I am still going with my Tigers and there is no way they can take this team lightly. which im pretty sure they are not. Glad to see this program succeeding. GO TIGERS As for 4nashprivates-yeah last year was the last team to play in the playoffs since the 97 team(brother played that year) They did beat a Nasville private school. Nashville Christian and beat them pretty good.(brother played a good game til he got hurt).Just put this in cause you said you have never heard about MP. just giving you some info!!!!

I guess I will get this thread started. Everybody knew it was coming. What are people's take on this game. To me, this is going to be a great game. Probably the best football game this year for either team. I am sure this game is going to get a lot of coverage. Wouldnt be surprised if Rudy K comes in his chopper. But back to the game. WC has very talented players as does MP. Ruddle seems to be healthy and I am glad. It looks like both teams come to the battlefield healthy. I have been waiting for this game all year long. MP survived a TOUGH game against Huntland as WC beat Cwood. Both are undefeated. Not sure if anyone on WC can stop Jemarcus Webster. Let me rephrase that-No one single handedly. Of course you have 3 guys around him all night, he wont do much. However he did catch a TD pass last night with 4 Hornets buzzing around him. But if they want triple team him then MP has many other weapons. I believe MP comes out of this game with the W and wins the region. I think last nights game was probably the best thing that could have happened to MP. It let them know the can win the tough hard games. MP-21 Huntland-0 Final Wait to hang on Tigers. I have to say Huntland was the biggest test for the Tigers and they held on. Great Game. Listened to the whole game. This makes everything ready for the Region 6a Showdown with the undefeateds (if WC beat Cwood) next Friday night. Just bc MP didnt win by 40 or so like they have in the past. It just means they can win the close ones against the tougher teams. I will definately be there next week. Absolutely cant wait!!!!!!!!!! Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mt. Pleasant-7 Huntland-0 At the end of the half. Listening to it on the Internet. From what I can tell Huntland is doing a good job from keeping the ball from MP. MP only has 3 possessions for the half. That is unheard of. Also from what I can tell from the radio is that the refs are making a lot of mistakes for BOTH teams. Mp got an intentional grounding call when the ball could have hit one of MP receivers and then gave MP an extra down. Carelessness Calls by the zebras but hey cant make every call. Cmon MP break open the half! Lets go!!!!!!!!

Josh Kelley is the QB of the Mt. Pleasant Tigers and has done a great job. Jemarcus Webster is prolly the main prospect of this team BUT he cant do it by himself. That is why its a team. He has an Oline that is great. Probably Adam Nolan is the name that stands out the most. This guy is massive. He is a beast. But he is complemented by other great lineman. Theo Fennessee is a great tailback. Not sure on how many yards he has this year but its prolly quite a few. He would probably have more if he didnt have to come out of the game so early. His brother RoRo Fennessee is prolly their best linebacker. Quick and Strong. Sees the ball. But these are just a couple. But like I said earlier, you cant just give credit to these guys. There are other guys on the team that help these succeed. Great job Tigers. Keep the ball rollin. Ill be in Chapel Hill to cheer yall on!!!!!!!!

Just wondering where the talented Jon Ward went to college. Havent heard anything about him. Just like to keep up with high school standouts from Region 6A.

Wow...Is that 4nashprivates congratulating a public school. All of his/her posts have usually been dissing the public schools and how no one can compete with the privates. I guess MP got some respect by putting on that beating on cwood. I dont see any of the trash talkers from cwood on here now. They must still be in the bed not wanting to get up and show their faces after they talked all that crap and got it beat out of them. Great game Tigers. Jemarcus Webster is AWESOME. But guess what-you couldnt cut it to get some playing time. So you moved to Zion bc you knew you could get some pt. But that is just what ive heard. But anyways you can post whatever you want but dont praise MP in one post and blast them in another. You are either a fan of MP or not. You cant be both.Why do you be happy MP has a good team and will make to the playoffs again and hopefully with the athletes we have we can beat the privates. As for the other posts about runnin the score up-gotta take up for my team. i dont see how you can put in your 2nd 3rd or 4th string in and tell them not to play hard and not to score if they have the chance.One day they will be out there so they need the experience also. Listen up everybody!It seems to me that if you want to know anything about everything in high school sports- talk to stephenzca. He should just go to sportscenter and try out for the reality dreamjob position. He seems to know everything about every player from every school. What do you do? How do you do it. I know you dont go to other games bc you have been at Mt.Pleasants game the last two weeks. Give it up- anyways about the game from what i saw and MP is a very talented team that made some mistakes. (blocking, penalties,etc.) But it is still early in the year and i know Coach Smith will get them ready. Cant wait til Oct. 22 (i think) against Wayne County. Could decide the region champ. But that is just from a fan. Tigers take it one game at a time. And take care of business!

Boy this is gonna be a good one.WC seems to have MP number by winning so many in a row. The streak ends here. where it matters. Coach Boyd will have to change the way he has played them the last 7 or 8 times and I believe he will have them ready. I know he will. He and the Tigers want to get over this hump. Gonna be a great game. Will not miss it. The cheering section will be alive, the Tigers will be alive, and the game is ours. Coach Boyd will get em ready and I believe MP wins in a very, very close game.

Although I wont be there to witness the game, MP is going to be ready. I have talked to some of the players and they have told me they are ready for this game and they have been waiting for this rematch since WC took them to shed last game and gave them a beating. I think Boyd will have them ready this year and look for the Tigers to go back to the District Championship. If Don Don can shut down Bryant again and one of the twins can shut down Bryd, then MP will win and also if they come out in a tenacious press like they did when they beat PC, they will win.
