  1. Any early predictions on how Coach Olive and the Wildcats are going to look this coming season?
  2. How are the wildcats expected to look this year? I have heard they are looking for a new QB? Is this true? Any off the wall early predictions for Coach Olive and the Cats?
  3. Way to early to declare anybody anything. Huntland has a chance, if they play well. I look for a competitive district with four teams playing for two spots. Its baseball so anything can happen.
  4. I haven't seen anything to harsh from the youngster. Last night must have been a great game. My sons played in Region 6 against Mt. Pleasant for the last few years. I saw JB play in the first round. The Tuck kid played very hard and had great intensity. I would be very surprised if he didn't have 10 plus tackles last night and left it all on the field. To be his size.... that's impressive. My point really; if you can walk the walk.... Congrat's to the Tigers! Isn't this the final 4, 2 out of the last 3 years?
  5. Actual only ..please size? 40 time GPA/ACT ?
  6. There is nothing wrong with the Cascade coach's. I would have had no problem with my son's playing for either coach Parker. Baseball or football. they are both class act's and each understands how to play and win. Players have to execute coach's can't. I would suspect the players got a little hyped or tight and didn't play as well as they were capable. Cascade had a great team, the best I can remember; if your a fan stay behind them, if your a player keep working.
  7. Having seen both teams; I'll try and offer an unbiased opinion. Both teams have good speed. Both teams are well coached. I'm not sure that JB doesn't have the edge because of home field and man it's going to be a long ride from the trace. JB's linebackers are very good (Tuck if you were a little bigger you could play where ever you wanted to. I haven't seen that intensity from LB's since year before last with MP's Fennessee and Whitaker). Your partner in the middle #31 is very good too. Collinwood has some weaknesses in the secondary, we couldn't exploit it you guy's might. Collinwood will play you hard and you guy's have a weakness in the secondary also. I won't point out who he is, but the C'wood coach's will find him and attempt to isolate him. JB is more physical up front which will make a difference I think. C'wood backs are good and they have two or three of them which makes for nice depth. They will probably break a few runs off. Whether #34 and #1 can catch em will tell the tale. I think they can. If either team doesn't prepare well the other will win. If you both bring your "A" games it should be a dandy! Good luck to both teams.
  8. Man if you played as well as you talk, you would have been something. Where did you sign again? Oh that's right there wasn't any Collinwood guy's that signed last year. My bad... You guy's have had some good ones and some good teams. Ward and Rich were good football players and Jacob D. was pretty good too. But you... nah Go back to your own thread and be a has been somewhere else. Were not the biggest or the best but we have had some kids to be proud of and you won't find any of them on here talking trash about you little man.
  9. For the most part, Huntland folks don't or won't talk smack; with a few exceptions. I saw a post earlier in this thread by someone who probably isn't a fan of HHS make a weak attempt at it. I am a region 6A fan and I do find myself pulling for 5A now because of Cascade and Forrest. The Jo Burns folks seem to be classy and their team does their talking on the filed. I like that. I will be there Friday night and I will be wearing Blue! We will show up and we will do our best to hit JB all night.
  10. Jo Burns must be a fine team, obviously. Playing at home is also a huge advantage I think. I don't have a kid playing at Huntland (anymore) so without hesitation I will tell you there is a difference in coaching and execution. A coach on any team can only put their kids in position to win. I have seen all year and heard the HHS coach's devise plans and scheme's that are solid. Their system is a bit old fashioned but it enables what they have in the way of talent to succeed. I'm not going to list them all, but HHS has a few kids that could play for anybody in 1A. From my seat other teams in our region just had more. MP and C'wood as an example just have more top shelf players than HHS. HHS will hit you and play hard. If you just show up and aren't ready to play, they will get your attention. The score of this game will depend on preparation this week, by both teams. JB clearly has the better team... but that's why you play the games.
  11. Good football game! The CA folks will claim otherwise, but it really was a good game. #34 for HHS rushed for 120 or so, nothing fancy. Huntland won the game at the line of scrimmage. I will say the playing conditions (wet and sloppy) favored the hornets. Good win guy's!
  12. Huntland will win. HHS played MP better than they should have, Marco broke 50 tackles in the second half which was the difference. They also gave "C'wood a tussle for a half. I believe both these teams will advance in the playoff's. If Huntland's O-line can control the line of scrimmage and deal with CA's stunting line-backers, and play 4 Qtr's.... HHS by 14.
  13. Congrat's to Coach Rice and the kids in Black! It was a complete game; never any doubt about the outcome. Our kids didn't play well, but no excuses. The better team won the game and won it convincingly.
  14. The last time we were there was Homecoming; HHS 21 CHS 7 In fact, I'll say the same score this year for the PC game.
  15. Congrat's to the players and coach's at Huntland. Tough to start the way you have and put together a good plan and get great effort from your kids. Well Done! I thought MC played hard also and contrary to others, I think Mark is a very good coach. Game balls : Huntland #34, #16, #12, #81, #3 ( O-line) MC #1, #2
