  1. LA! Better coaching , more players off the bench , need I say more.
  2. Well you know LA is gonna win because York only has 1 player that they feel they need to get the ball to. LA only has to shut her down and that is it. Game over.
  3. Alias 14, That is what my child has said to me in the past too. However the coach tells them if a parent comes crying to him just go ahead and turn your uniform in before they get there. You are stuck with telling your child to hang in there and play hard. Even though you know there soul is being defeated by their coach. I know kids who received mvp awards at their state tournaments in 8th grade and go on to this school and receive no playing time even in the jv games. That makes no sense to me . Everyone has a bad game every now and then, so try some other players , who knows it might be their night to shine. I love to go and watch coaches who sub deep on the bench. That truly shows what your complete team is made of.
  4. dirtdobber you are right on the money. You have to give credit to those players who hang in there although. They are the true sportsmanship winners. Where I live if your parents don't have the right jobs or pull, even though your child may be a better player they are benched so that some can get noticed more. If you are gonna choose 10 players then play them don't just use them as practice dummies. The coaches here even blame the bench players when they lose a game and all he has played has been 5 starters. Give em a chance coaches!
  5. Good to hear someone besides the york ele. coach is with them. I can't figure out why he is still coaching with the things I have been hearing about him. What a shame. Wouldn't let my child play for him.
  6. Come on people let everyone get it out of their system. To Doomsday, I know a whole lot more about York than you think I do.
  7. I don't think anyone was downing York girls. I think they were really wishing them well. I am a strong believer in jv games as being the future of your team. If he couldn't do it then he should have talked to someone who was willing to do it. You have to admit it kinda looks bad when you don't even want your own daughter to have high school experience. You said there were only 5 freshmen were there not other sophomores who could've played jv? I know you respect your coach as you well should have but these people are just looking out for the girls team to do as well as possible. This is only my opinion and I only wish the best for all the girls in 7AA.
  8. So from what you all are saying York girls didn't have jv games this year. Well if he didn't look out for his daughters future at York why would he look out for the whole team. That is sad for the freshmen, sophomores and his daughter. Come on coach look out for your team. I wish them well next year. New coach or not.
  9. Did York play any jv games this year? I heard his daughter is a freshman and I figured they played alot because of that but everyone is saying they didnt even have any jv games but that the boys did. Is he not looking for the future of the team? Maybe the bet is true.
  10. LA will win for sure but it will be close, however I warn parents with young children not to sit close to the Upperman fans. The last game I saw them play their was very foul language coming out of several of the gentlemens mouths and if they like referring so much they out to put on the black and the white and not do it from the bleachers. Come on people bball is for everyone to enjoy there was many young kids who heard that nasty stuff very unsportsman like. You can be angry without the vulgar language.
  11. My question is do you know the whole story?
  12. That is true devilfanatic however with all the talent that he has had this year, he should have had no losses or they should have at least went down to the buzzer. Don't know the man personally however I have seen York play several times when he got outcoached. From what I hear making the Ross twins quit the team just because they thought about transferring was childish and immature. If a coach can't stand criticism he needs a new job.
  13. In response to classof98's post; I agree York does need a coach who knows how to handle the talent he has. The only thing wrong with their team is their coach. When is the school gonna wise up and help these kids out?
  14. Just wanted to say good luck to the Lady Dragons of York Institute. You are a tough group of girls and can overcome the adversity that you have been faced with this week. Don't give up just give it all you got . Your fans are behind you 100%, we have faith in you all. Go Dragons!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. In response to tn33 sorry I meant to say Freshmen instead of "lowerclassmen". What is he gonna do next year when Pierce, Qualls, Herron and Asberry are gone? He as no Juniors. You only get experience from playing not by keeping stats.
