I heard the Houston parents talking during the region tournament and they mentioned that Brandon's only losses were to the Brother Martin wrestler and the Grissom wrestler in the Black Horse finals over the last two years. Both were a state champs in their states. The Brother Martin wrestler went on last to place at Sr. Nationals and Prince from Grissom had been beaten by Wright several times before. Wright also bumped up to beat Darious Wiliams, State Champ at 189. Wright also beat a Louisianna State champ, who had beat TC Pendleton a state champ from Hoover Alabama. He also pinned the Goodrum of Father Ryan in the Ryan Invitational finals and beat the 152 pound champ twice last year. This DI vs. DII rant will continue till only the folks who want to pay for this thread, but Wright is a good wrestler from the state of TN.

A lot of Bartlett kids went to the Southern Champions Camp. They all seemed to like the mix of technique traing and live matches. There are three camps, one in Knoxville, one in Memphis(held at Houston High School) and one in the Nashville area.

I know JV is rarely reported, but are there any results of the Region 10/West TN JV championship tournament today. Usually it is a good tournament and a lot of competition. Sorry I had to miss it.

Where were all the teams? I thought more was to be there? Like St. Benedict?

St. B or "House's Soldiers" won the Trojan Wars pretty convincingly, but they would have to CBHS to be tops in Memphis. Maybe the year, maybe Coach House can bring home that victory

He is referring to St. Benedict. Finished 4th at the Cordova Duals. Second in their pool and and beat Houston and Bartlett for 4th.

Is there some reason Bartlett and Houston always wrestle on this date almost every year? Seems we wrestled Houston this time last year and beat them. Is this some type of tradition?

It was spread out over 3 days. In the past it was on a Thursday and Saturday. So everybody had to wrestle the first day.

I don't have overall results, but I did predict before the match that Hanson would beat Rogers and if the officiating would have been better Bucak would have taken Johnson. It was clear that Bartlett was the leader of this event, this is the sign of the times in Region 10
