Lady Bear had their wake up call. They are re-focused and they are on a MISSION. Someone made a post they'd win from here out by double figures. I'm not going to dissagree with that. I think the loss may have been a blessing in disguise.

for your informantion dogg I went to some of the WC games when MJ wasn't playing. Games I attended were : White County and hardly no one was there. Cleveland and the same small crowd Harpeth Hall and the place was not even a third full. I think all four of these teams are pretty well established as outstanding teams since they all went deep into the tourneys. So thats what I based my opinion on. And yes I'm entitled to my opinion as you are as well. Hence the open forum on here. I never said the WC student section blew away MJ's student section. Once again there you go making false statements. You won the game. HURRAH for you. Good luck tonite against Franklin.

I thought the subject here was Student Section Support. And yes I did make the statement earlier in a post its hard for supporters of a team to attend games that start at 4:15. Those supporters I was referring to are working people. I seriously doubt that there are that many students that have jobs. Not saying none of them have jobs just saying most of them don't. At least not full time jobs. So my point being where were all the students for the semifinal game against Northeast? Huh? And to back up my earlier statement for the games Mt. Juliet played at 4:15 I believe those LOYAL supporters I refered to were there in attendance and packed their section. The bottom line here is Wilson Central students basically only show up for the Mt. Juliet games. And yes because its a cross town rivalry game. To you its your way of getting attention because your school is only 4 years old and you want to show big brother up. I will dare say tonite against Franklin the gym will be less than half full. And thats on the Central side of the gym, not the entire gym. Because I doubt very seriously Franklin will bring that many fans. I wish Central good luck and I'm sure they will be victorious.

Your going to penalize Hillsboro for playing 18 games in their district? They can't help it that there district is weak and has 10 teams in it. And they totally dominated their district. If you consider there out of district games against Brentwood Acad (61-48), Beech (55-41), Riverdale (59-44), Antioch twice (76-55) (62-44) that ain't too shappy. They had one slip up against Franklin and lost by 4 points. I'd ask you this dogg. Would you like to be playing at Hillsboro? I think I know the answer to that question.

I think this is a no brainer...... Mt. Juliet (33-1) vs. Hillsboro (32-1) combined 65 wins and 2 losses. enough said.

As far as taking your fans over ours, of course. Their loyal TO MJ, have class TO MJ, and will follow their team MJ anywhere. What a suprise you would being a MJ fan Yeah, what a surprise.

Well as I said its a possiblity the Lady Bears were overconfident after beating Central by 33 pts last week. Its possible the students felt like hey we've beat 'em 3 times by 6, 17, and 33 points why bother to get excited. I mean fans do get complacent when the competition doesn't show much resistance. The Central students on the other hand wanted revenge and came out in force and I salute them. However, the actions after the game showed a lack of class with the actions of some of them. I would dare say this if there was a poll taken with those in attendance I would say there were more Mt. Juliet fans there than Central.

I got a question for u? Where were all the WC students for the games Central played against Northeast in the semifinals? I didn't see much support for the Lady Wildcats in that game. AND that was a HUGE GAME. Actually more important than the finals in my opinion because you lose in the semis you go home you lose in the finals you go on the road. As for the MJ students I believe I saw more than 30 in that section. And I thought they were enthusiated and showed class in their support. At the end of the game when the Central students rushed onto the floor I saw ONE student look into the MJ crowd and holler an obscene statement. Does this show class? I mean celebrate your victory and show your team your proud of them and don't yell at the opponents supporters. It was a great win for Central. I congratulate them. As for fan support I'll take the Mt. Juliet fans any day of the week. They are loyal, have class and will follow their team anywhere.

We found out the Lady Bears are human and we'll found out what they're made of Saturday nite. I'm certain they will play one of their best games against Hillsboro. The goal was to bring home the Gold and even with the loss its still there to obtain. I would love to see a rematch with Wilson Central in the finals.

Mt. Juliet had 2 3-pointers for the game thats including Pigue's trey at the buzzer. The difference in the game was Katie O'Connell. She had 15 points and had some big shots from the outside and a good floor game. Mt. Juliet guard play was off. Normally steady Gibson was not herself at the point. Clark had 16 and McFarlin 10. Lady Bears had their chances at the end of regulation but shot at the buzzer just wouldn't fall. I compliment Bud on the biggest victory of his coaching carreer. I think the lopsided win MJ had against WC in district finals could have had them a little overconfident.

Yes its true Mt. Juliet is human after all. I give Wilson Central credit for getting the victory. Mt. Juliet had the ball the last 2 minutes of the 4th. quarter with the score tied and decided to hold it for the last shot. Unfournately they didn't get exactly the shot they wanted and the game went to overtime. Congraulations Wilson Central and good luck in sectionals and maybe we'll get a rematch in the State Finals.

This is going back a ways but I remember Waverly Central in the 1960's had some great teams and played in the State finals in "67 and '68 and had a girl named SALLY SMITH. She was about 5'8" and had the sweetiest jump shot I've ever seen. She averaged around 44 points and she was unstoppable. Waverly went undefeated in '68 winning the State before classifications.

I am so proud of these girls at Mt. Juliet. They have worked hard and practiced countless hours. I have totally enjoyed watching this team play for the past 3 years. As I said before the season started "This is the best team MJ has ever put on the floor. Keep your focus and play hard. Good Luck the rest of the way.

Glad you asked my opinion on this one 90. Some people think I'm outspoken and maybe I am. Just that girls basketball and Mt. Juliet in particular is my passion. To the subject at hand Shelbyville vs. White County at Sparta. This is a extremely hard game for me to pick. My heart is telling me White County. But my head is saying Shelbyville. If White County gets a quick start and the crowd (hopefully it will be BIG) gets behind them they could take it. Shelbyville will be a tough out. I've only seen White County one time and that was early in the season against Wilson Central and it wasn't much of a contest at that time. But White County has shown a lot of improvement since then. Same goes for Shelbyville. Only saw them once and that was early in the season against MtJ. Alot has changed since then. If the Lady Bears were not playing tomorrow nite I'd probably come down there for the game. Should go down to the wire. Good luck ! ! ! !

Yes I saw your post on Biddle mailman. It showed alot of class on your part and I appriecate your putting that on. I met the young lady when she was a student and player for the Lady Bears and I was very impressed with her. Such ashame this happened.

such a tragedy for this to happen to someone so young. I am really sorry to hear this. I pray for the family and friends.

I can't see MJ was running the score up. I mean when the subs came in what are they suppose to do? Stand around and run the clock out? I mean if that had been the starters you might have a case but those were subs taking those shots. I don't think MJ could play much better. Was the best game I've seen them play all year. Congraluations to Alysha Clark for being a finalist for the Miss Basketball award. I've watched that girl play for 3 years and she is Amazing. On to the Regions now and it should be obvious the first round should be one sided with the exception of the Smyrna vs. Dickson Co. game. This game is a tossup. I think Smyrna has an advantage because they played on the floor last week so I think the first round winners will be MJ, Smyrna, Northeast and WC.

Hey, I was there. I thought this was perhaps the best performance of the year for the Lady Bears. Alysha Clark was FANASTIC..... 36 points and a ton of rebounds. Paige McFarlin had a outstanding game with 10 points. And yes we found the arc tonite with Alysha hitting the first three for the Lady Bears. A special congraulations to Sara Munz who came in late and drilled 2 threes. Way to go Sara ! ! ! ! ! ! I think Bud lost his cool in the third quarter. Got a technial and the game was basically over. Good Luck to the Lady Bears and Lady Wildcats next week in Region.
