  1. Congrats guys. You all played a wonderful game!
  2. Jughead, I did read it. Perhaps I don't speak your language. I guess it kills you for someone to think you put up a negative post. Regardless of how you see it, I saw it as negative. Can you agree to disagree with someone? I still have the same opinion, regardless of how many time I read the post.
  3. Jughead---I read your post, and if your comments about kids being "selfish" and not passing the ball, and praising the guys who have low scoring games because they pass it, are considered positive, I would have to hear a negative remark... Referring to a player that you consider to be "selfish" is not a positive remark. Perhaps I have your identity confused, for that I apologize...that's what I get for listening to other guys on here---forgive that...however, I don't think I have your character wrong. You are casting stones, Luvsball threw a few, coachtdog did too, and guess what? So did you. The best thing for us all to do is drop it. Thank goodness my children do not live there and go to Unaka, because dealing with the parents there would be a nightmare. There are some good ones, but the bad ones ruin it for everyone. I hope this thread gets locked soon.
  4. Well, this is a first for me, but I feel speechless. This board has really turned into a place where grown adults can hide behind fictious names to critize one another...but not just adults...people are critizing kids. Children, who are playing ball, and hanging out at school, while their parents sit at their desks at work, and fight with one another. Does that seem odd to anyone else? I have a few observations, like Armpit made, I mean BeckyPit. 1---BeckyPit is hostile. That's obvious. You sound as if you might be the parent of a child who plays sports as well. However, you too chose to be anonymous, so we don't know who your child is. Perhaps your post was motivated by favoritism...maybe your child isn't in the public eye, and you are not forced to defend or protect your child from the postings of the likes of you. Luvsball and CoachT love sports, and the Rangers...is it wrong to be proud of their son, and state their own opinions? I don't really think so. Is it wrong for you to point out the flaws of a child, using his name all over the board so that he might read it and all his friends will read it too----yes, I think that is very wrong. If you feel this strongly about Rusty's ability, don't be a coward and post as Beckypit, tell your name or even better, tell him the next time you see him. It takes a lot more courage to speak your mind to someone's face. I doubt you have it in you. I can't think of any mother, of any child, that would want to read your post, or a post like it, about their own child. I thought it was cold, and uncalled for. I am not related to Rusty, but am a friend of the family, and I know when he reads this, he will be hurt. He's a good kid...don't put things on here to discourage or bruise a young guys ego...if you don't like his game, that's your business---if you don't like his parents, that's your business too, but leave his name out of it. 2--As for Jughead...that is exactly what you are too, a Jughead. Again, why single out Coacht and Luvsbball for taking up for, cheering for, and defending their son. Since you made sure everyone knew who they were, Mr. E, we should make sure everyone knows who you are. I don't know you from Adam, but I have heard a lot about you. Like I said earlier, you are a parent, so how would you feel if people were attacking your daughter on this site? Your instinct, as her father, would be to defend her...am I right? I am pretty sure I am...because I would do the same for my daughter. You not only do you put them down for defending him, but you also drew conclusions about their post that they did not state at all. I think the next time I am able to make it to a Unaka game, I'll attend the girls game and point out all the flaws of your daughter on the court, and I'll post them here on CoachT, and see how you feel...that is if she gets to play---while we're casting stones...if she doesn't get to play will you try to get the coach fired again? I don't think we want to go there...Kenneth is a good coach, but better than that, a good guy. So again, my point is, back up off of everyone else's kids, leave them out of it, and get back to your "adult" lives. Leave the playground/ rock throwing to the little kids. Peace and love to all!
  5. I also heard that Thomas is a pretty weak player at all the games on PS2...at least that's what "J" says!!! If you need lessons Thomas, just let us know.
  6. I agree with Luvsbball. I heard comments in the stands about "this one should pass more" or "this one shoots to much"...I think we focus on the mistakes and or errors of the other players. With every game, there will be errors, bad shots taken, and passes missed, but putting the blame on the shoulders of one child is so unfair. If they are allowed to celebrate a victory as a team, they should also be afforded the right to lose as a team. I saw a lot of dropped passes, missed layups and just all around lousy play under the goal, but I didn't comment, I just kept on cheering...I also didn't have a "list" of how many passes they dropped either. Why not keep lists of positive things, like Chambers being 80+% on the foul-line or Collins being 80+% from Field Goal range (just made up those numbers, but they seem accurate from where I sit). The parents of these children, often, do more harm than good, when they attend the games. It is so easy to judge and be critical of others children, when you should just focus your concerns on your loved one out there, and make sure they are at the top of their game, or at least gave their best effort. To close, I still thought it was a good game.
  7. Oh, and I forgot to comment on the inital post...I am hoping Chambers will choose a college somewhere closer to Georgia...
  8. I agree with Mountain Dew. I think Big Russ will bring the heat tonight! One thing about Russ, home or away, he plays hard, and especially when it's against a long time rival like CHS. No matter who wins, I am sure Rusty will have a big game, as well the team. They will make the UHS fans proud, once again! Go Rangers!!
  9. Wow UC Daddy, that sure was a homophobic comment if I've ever seen one. Can a woman not just love sports, be athletic and/or aggressive without being type-casted with all of the ladies that you mentioned? Are you threatened by strong powerful women? You must be...with needing to call yourself "Daddy" in your screen name...maybe your momma didn't hug you enough, as a child.
  10. What does "arn't" mean? What language are you trying to use? Anyway, the basketball talk was getting boring...5 pages of "We're the best, NO We're the best" was getting old, so I thought I would point out some obviously funny people on the site. Since you commented, I guess you'll be next.
  11. Nice comment Nice Girls Love Sailors...are you saying that Spelling isn't important, as long as you can speak intelligently about sports? You might want to think that concept through a little more. While I'm at it, you should change that screen name. Everyone knows that it isn't Nice "Girls" that Sailors like!! Juicy-J
  12. The King is a guy who wears shirts with no sleeves in the dead of winter, is out of school, but still thinks he's in school, dates 15 year old girls, and loves to bash Unaka...probably not the sharpest pencil in the box.
  13. I hear they have a good team. Private school kids, so I'm not sure if they can hang with the Down N' Dirty team from The Creek! They wear uniforms to school and all, so they probably will be afraid they might get some "Sauce" on their uniforms!!! Juicy Joe is in the house!!!
  14. Some of the people on here are children...making fun of their grammar, Mr. Twine, is really not polite!
