i saw someone say that if powell lost to halls and halls beat clinton but lost to karns that powell would get second still. How is that? they would be tied with Clinton again and wouldnt it put them right back in the boat they are in now? Someone please clear this up for me. i dont see how Powell can lose and still get second. And another thing. why does it always go to whomever beat the higher ranked team? i mean Clinton lost to central and Powell swept them. I see how they decide that but i am just curious on why it works that way instead of the other way.

why cant we be friends Rodpride and fballfever>? we all know that every1 has their own opinion how things are done and as i sit beside mocs30 at the games i like his intinsity toward the players and they like to feed off of him. Coach O has trouble seeing alot of things out there and it isn't bad to have a little help. The assistant isnt vocal enough to help out much even though i wouldnt trade either of them for any1. I can see where robpride would think he shouldnt belong but Mocs doesnt say anything in there. he just listens and if coach o asks if he saw anything he would say something then. But i like you guys and i think Mocs could ahve taken it a little personal but we will get over it. Good luck robpride with the girls, ol MJ couldn't seem to figure your game plan out.lol

i agree you have athletes coach. nothin taken away from that but when you lose 2 big guys a vibbert, that is a blow for any1. I believe that there is something up Coach Lockard's sleeve out there in Clinton and it seems to be working. The defense is a plus for you all. They get in the passing lanes weel and have active hands. They cause a lot of turn overs that way. Nothin taken away from teh team though they play well. And for the record i like Coach Lockard and the program that they have year in and year out but i thought that they wouldn't really be able to do what they are doing this year. Congrats to Powell on the big win. Heck of a game played by the Tennessee Commitment Lee Smith. And on a closing note, Tell #55 that football ended along time ago, and if he can't take out a kid that is maybe 150lbs in the air, then Vandy made a bad decision on gettin him. So i wouldnt think i was big and bad after a dirty play that is uncalled for at any level of sport especially basketball. If that would ahve been in the Pros he would be paying a big fine and prolly seeing some suspension time.

I think Powell wins over Clinton tonight by 10 after hitting clutch free throws in teh end. But good luck to both teams and keep it clean.

This is the craziest i have seen a district race. The suprise to me is Clinton. After losing what they had last year i would have predicted them to finish 5th. I saw them play Powell and realized that they had some tallent but i thought Powell should ahve won that game. But Clinton pulled it out with their full court press. The thing that gets me is. Powell beats karns twice. They lose to OR twice but Karns has beat them once so far. Powell beat Central twice and they have lost to halls once. And Central beat halls by 20. I mean i can go on and on about how these things are going and i know you all know these better than me but no matter how the standings end.......... God what a Tourney we will have! The only 2 that will not be too nervous that week is the 1 and 2. because other than that anythign can happen. I am a Powell fan if you couldnt notice from my knowledge of powell. But i hope they can pull off the next 2 wins and make it to region. Because i wouldnt be suprised if the 6 and 5 teams are the ones goin to region instead of the 3-4.

the powell/halls game will be made up on sat. the12. i hate how people think they know a D1 player. i hate how people can't believe if some1 is or not. cameron is a good player and his height shouldnt hurt to bad because has any1 seen the guy for miss. state that is only 5'8? cameron will grow some more so the size will come all he has to do is work on his shot and he has a very good chance of going to a big college.

sharp and conner are very good sophomores and one of them will be d-1 hopefully both. chris conner is going to be special

i'll agree with you on everything, but he has alil help with Smith being his counter-part. I said ben would be some1 to watch. its early so hopefully he gets better.

facedown- Smith started off on Fersner. They did this becasue he shut him down last year at Powell. He knows how Fersner likes to play. Mocs- As for the game. Powell did dominate in the post becasue of Karns not having any and becasue of the good execution. I love the Hargis kid. He is up for any challenge. Karns fans dogged him from the git go and he stuck it up there you know what. As for karns, the only highlight i saw from them was that dunk. Are you serious, that was the best high school dunk i have seen. He drop-stepped and cramed it on ward and smith. Now that is elevation.

I talked to Ogan after the game for about 30 min. and we talked about that one play. He said that they missed it but it wasn't a game changer. Mocs30- we both agreed on the 3 by the blonde curly headed guy changed the "MO" when powell was about to make the run. Also the offensive rebound late in the game after a missed FT changed it around. Powell is young at the guards, and Hargis is the only one who knows what it is like to get gnawed on. 3 sophomores at guard in a big game is risky but hey they have to get their feet wet and gain some confidence. Next time should be alil different. I have said it all along, remeber ben ward, gah!, player. he should have had 40+ if he didnt miss the gimmies. Good luck Fri. Panthers.

i agree with you on no stand out in either region. 3aaa- i thought Karns would ahve the upper hand and campbell co. would be in last, but after the showing against OR i think this will come down to the final weeks on where everyone will end up. Campbell Co. way to show me up and good luck to you all. Powell and Clinton are tonight and this will be a different looking game not having Vibbert and Tevah to worry about. Big Game by Smith and Ward and Powell comes out with a W. Another heartbreaker for Halls last nite against Karns. they will make a good run at it. ( kindof reminded me of the two regular season games against Powell)

well i agree with mocs on not to count them out too early. I agree with Rodpride on TC about not being strong enough, but not being strong enough doens't mean you can't contribute. I wasn't the strongest player out there as those of you who know me. but i contributed a little bit. I don't think TC is there in his over all game. Even if he was stronger i don't think he could make a big difference. They have the inside game but if they can't shoot the rock, they might be along rode for the panthers. But as everyone says, its early they have plenty of time to improve. Predictions : 1. Karns 2. Halls 3. OR 4. Clinton/Powell/Central 7.Campbell Co. The 4 slot will be between those teams and Central Could be the suprise team this year. They didnt look to bad the other night, Don't over look them Panters.

LOL ok, I appreciate it. Powell almost had it as a dream come true. But it ended up as just a bad dream.

Campbell Co. would be the shocker of the year. I doubt that they can beat Powell and their inside game. I doubt they can beat Fersner, i mean Karns, and i doubt they can beat halls or Oak ridge. NOt to mention Oak ridge beat Science hill without their football guys even playin. They could make a scare but i think thats all they will create.

thats a big blow for the Rebs. AB could have been a difference maker in this upcomming game. Where is the game at anyway? i heard maryville and i heard Central?

why would powell cheap shot AB? if they were gonna cheap shot anyone, wouldn't it be Cade? he was the one who beat us pretty much. So Maryville's excuse is that we were holding the whoel game..... I was waitin to see what it was gonna be. Why can't you all accept that Powell played you all close. You won and powell didnt, why make excuses when you win? that seems to be a little odd. If Powell would have won i bet they would have just simply said they were the better team that night. But oh well, good luck to the Rebs. Too bad we can't play another one. See you boys next year.

i don't see central giving Maryville much of a game. Powell is the tougher test even though powell lost to them. there were certain things going on in that game as we all know that could have casued some of that outcome. Maryville by 21, unless they can't stop the run of Cental then it will only be 14

it was a great game. and i agree with robpride about the whole tssaa thing, i wouldnt do that next time. causes too much controversy. powell should have ran the ball more in the first ahlf with courtney. maryville had a tough time stopping him. the coaching staff hurt them there. example: a long run to the 30 and we go pass pass pass. what ever happened to ride the horse that got you there? i dunno. penalties killed them in the first ahlf as well, that could have caused a different outcome, but oh well nothing to do about it now. The second half was pretty even on penalties so that was just a good half. I would like an explanation on the fumble play when powell was driving? how was that not offsides either way. even if he did snap it, they were in the zone. Fballmaster- i wonder how Tallent is doing? too bad he got knocked out of the game. Jay Courtney seemed to stay in. huh? so much for all that bull crap about watcin out for him. looks like it should ahve been the other way around. I hope tallent gets better and byner. I don't think powell played their best game. they had too many turn overs to be their best game. they just showed maryville isn't as good as they have been in past years.

i'm a Powell fan and i am sick of the talk about recruiting. if you do, you do. if you don't you don't. if you do then it is a bonus on winning the game. Play the game and not worry about who is from where, it doesn't matter. Powell needs to go out and hit Maryville right in the mouth and let them know it will be different this game. if Maryville gets comfortable bye bye Panthers. Good luck to both teams Friday.

well i think maryville probably win this one, i hope not but thats more than likely the way it will be. Maryville should win, but as we have all witnessed this year, anythign can happen. aka Boston down 3-0. I know they are pros but they were also playing pros. thats the great thing about sports. Don't count your chickens before they hatch rebelraider. Powell is a long shot in this one but you cn't ever tell. Powell was having a comeback until they fumbled deep in maryville teritory. That put the nail in the coffen. But as i said they need their A+ game to win. Go Powell

after all this talk of Maryville and Tn High. I hope they get to face off to see who really is the best. Maryville gets all the hype because they are alwasy in the running. Go Rebs.
