  1. Yes, Martin did win it last year and it was the most ridiculous thing i had seen in a LOOOONNNNGG TIME. Melton, in his first year in highschool basketball, led his team to an undefeated record in the district. Pretty sure Martin didn't. Melton has yet again led his team to the top of this district. Again, pretty sure Martin hasn't. It would be another mind boggling decision if Melton didn't get Coach of the Year. And as for MVP honors, show me somebody who can stop Dunn. He'll take on this whole district by himself. He scores when he wants to score. Nobody in this district should get their hopes up and trying to stop him. Get used to it....
  2. Matthews MVP no doubt. As mentioned earlier, teams set designed plays that focus on her. Shes, by far, the best player in this district.
  3. Didn't look like they had very much chemistry to me anyways. That or LA's defense is phenomenal. My sentences contradict themselves.....LA does have very good defense IMO. Probably the reason for the lack of chemistry is because there is really only two players on upperman's squad that seemed talented in my eyes....taylor and maynord. Two exceptional players right there. If you go to state my friend it will be on the back of those two girls. Too bad those two girls will drop you guys off in HOGEYE because we all know that the girls from LA are gonna take it this year. Keep it rolling Lady Cats...
  4. CALLING ALL UPPERMAN FANS....CALLING ALL UPPERMAN FANS.....PLEASE GET OVER YOUR LOSS LAST NIGHT AND MOVE ON. YOU GOT SPANKED. TAKE IT. ALL YOUR USELESS SMACK TALK YOU SPOKE BEFORE THE GAME WAS NO GOOD FOR YOU. YOU LOST. HOGEYE WON. GET USED TO IT
  5. Well looks like the mouth running of UHS fans has come to an abrupt halt. All I heard before last nights game was....BEES BEES BEES. Almost looks like ORKIN came and in took care of them last night. Whoa, what am I thinking? No that was H-O-G-E-Y-E. I do want to thank the BEES for coming in and "TRYING" to beat our teams. Looks like our student section had pretty well decided the outcomes of both games before either tip-off. Too bad "Bee Daddy" wasn't that loud tonight. Guess he didn't have much to cheer about either. No "D-UP'S" only griping and complaining because the refs couldn't hear him instead of our students. I have a closing thought.......CYA IN DISTRICTS!!. HOGEYE WILL BE THERE WAITING ON YA.
  6. ok unfortunately this thread is open for anyones opinion....but LA actually does, "In My Opinion", have the best student section. They're not only at the home games but they seem to take plenty to away games. They are loud when they need to be. Tomorrow night when Upperman comes into Hog-Eye, they better bring a good crowd. Because its gonna be loud! H-O-G-E-Y-E Hog-eye, Hog-eye, TNT. You'll be hearing that all night. Luck will strike in your direction if you can even hear "Bee Daddy" chanting his typical...."D-UP". Good Luck to both teams but of course I'm pulling for LA. May the best llama win.....
  7. worried he was going to lose? are you insane? LA seemed to have control of the game from start to finish. it was easy to see. at one time all the dekalb coach could do was put his head down and sigh with disbelief. LA is for real. get used to it.
  8. One point to add to is that, yes your right, Upperman does seem to be Livingston Academy's kryptonite. A win against them would ensure momentum and confidence going into tournaments.
  9. jimbo44 is right. Ashley Matthews from Livingston Academy is a good pick. She can single-handedly take over a game.
  10. IMO Livingston Academy will be the team to beat next year. They only lose 2 seniors, so they will not be hurt very much by the void left. Anyone agree?
  11. Thank you......its not like everyone on this thread doesn't know which McMinn that is being talked about though. But anyways thank you for your useless post.
  12. Yeah im about tired of posting on this thread. We aren't sore losers, I was just continually stating how rude the fans were. YouWantToBeLikeMe was right and helped to prove my point. Never once did i mean the McMinn student section. None of our students ever said a word to them that i saw. It was the parents....especially the woman that was mentioned earlier. Her actions and the actions of the McMinn representative that told our students they had 3 seconds to sit down or would be thrown out......now thats low class. any other arguments that you would like to bring up?
  13. There was plenty of cussing going on as soon as the students walked in towards them. Especially when they walked down in front of the bleachers. And i dont know who the McMinn Central student section was supposed to intimidate....i didnt see anyone in there that looked scared or anyone that seemed to care about what they were saying
  14. Thanks YouWantToBeLikeMe.......the only ppl on here besides me and you that have been posting obviously are McMinn CENTRAL ppl. Nobody besides the LA student section heard all the rude and obnoxious things that were said to them. And even the ones that did, seem to be too big of pansies to admit it. Also, the gym was very small and in the future if i were to spend money on the school....i would probably pay to build a bigger gym. And to the refs, thank you again for being so ignorant and unknowing of the right way to play basketball. See you next year McMinn, next year maybe it won't be the same outcome
  15. Yes when the "great and very intelligent" officials finally woke up and realized that your team was fouling too the fouls started to even out. Good point
  16. No i don't think Beechboard is playing anywhere right now
  17. Yeah well the gym was packed and none of the "nice" McMinn people would let any of the LA students sit hardly anywhere. Idk who dropped the F-bomb but we heard a few words our way that weren't exactly good either. And about the refs.....at one point in the first half....the foul call was 10 to 4. 10 against LA. 4 against McMinn. Now tell me that those numbers are pretty well even
  18. No, the refs are to make a check before it is sent to the scorers table. And as said earlier.....Matthews is a junior, Stephens is a junior, and so is West. This team will be VERY scary and hard to beat next year. A word of advice to whoever is to be playing them next year, LOOK OUT.
  19. It was a good game. From start until finish. Congratulations to both teams this year and good luck to McMinn the rest of the year. BUT.....McMinn's administration could use some work on their manners. There were a couple of parents and teachers that were very rude to the LA student section that showed up. Maybe the next time we meet you guys will have worked on that. One more thing......thank you refs from last night on calling such a horrible game. I'm not one to blame a game on the officiating but you guys were pathetic. I'm surprised you guys could find the gym as ignorant as you each were. If any of you ever call another game in Tennessee it will be a disgrace to the TSSAA.
  20. Two years ago we had Beech......Now we have Matthews
  21. Should be a good game. If LA girls come out and play like I know they can then McMinn better watch out. These girls from Hogeye know what is at stake and they have worked too hard to see it all go down the drain now. I see Matthews and Stephens having a highlight game. LA by 9
  22. The LA and SC game was a very good one. LA was just too much to handle. Plain and simple. Mallie Stephens got hot early and thats one of the things that helped LA come out with the "W". Keep rolling LA......I'll be there tonight to cheer you on again.
  23. LA will win.....like someone said earlier....u can go ahead and mark it down. LA has won both meetings against Smith so far, and I see it happening again. Don't let up girls. Win this one and we will roll on to tha championship.
