I don't get where you think Sisco got outcoached, he won the game. UC just had a horrible game shooting the ball. They did cause 26 turnovers; so he must have did something right.

Just to set the record straight, I went to several UC games and they never ran the score up. Most games the Freshman played the majority of the second half. Your quote not dissing JC and then saying they are going to beat them by 45 and that isn't running up the score. You and Legend ought to be comedians because of the some the things you have posted are hilarious!!!

Here is a response from a UC fan. We're still here reading what several idiots on here have to say. If UC basketball fans are arrogant, we have a reason to be. How many state championships have other boys teams in West Tn. won. I believe it is 4 for UC; which most of you probably can't count that high. We can handle the bashing because we will be back to do the bashing.

I was sitting behind the UC bench and after the game the Big Sandy coach told Shane, "Thank you". What I get out of that is he also knew how bad the game could have actually turned out. And BackintheOC, are you a county fan and UC fan both?

I would respectfully disagree. Union City scored 130pts against Trenton in the 2nd round of their district tournament and they played everyone on the bench. The starters played very little in the 2nd half.

Just read in UC Daily Messenger, Coach Jones has resigned effective at end of school year.

ballhawk and oblivious yall are hilarious!!! why dont yall just leave your mouths shut and stick to what is going on in middle tennessee because u dont have a clue what is going on here. and u call us whiny babies? would u like to come and play for a coach taht has his little favorites that get away with everything. ill tell ya im one of the seniors that quit the team. and if you want reasoning ill tell ya. i believe in a team game and coach greer obviously doesnt support that. and if you let him know about it he gets defensive and tries to punish you. and take for instance the beginning of the year. i started every game and played 18-23 minutes a game. did what i was supposed to do and played hard. and my reward for taht work got me a place on the bench. now that doesnt make much sense to me. all throughout the year he did that to 4 people. and after a while u get tired of it and cant take anymore. and coaches are supposed to play the best players they have right? not sit them down when they play good. and another thing, the way coach greer put us down wasnt to motivate us. he constantly told us we sucked and we were worthless. coach whitby said things like that and worked us at the same time. when greer says it he makes us get off the floor and sit there. coach whitby made us stay on and work at it until we fixed it. but yall can say what u like. too bad it was us and not yall playing for him. because yall are tryin to make him look like the best coach there has ever been. stick to what ya know and stay outta what ya dont.

ok ballhawk this is for you.... u try to go on greers defense and u dont even know how he is. if u would have been a part of the waste of time this year has been u would change your opinion. he downed all of us players and said we sucked and we were worthless. does that sound like a good coach to you? i dont think so. and we had plenty of talent thank you. we could line up with any real coach and compete against anyone. if u care to test us get you a team together and come and find out. but unless u know what u are talking about keep your mouth shut and go elsewhere. we dont wanna hear what you say about things u dont know about.

I have to agree fully with the previous two post about the coach. and i agree that if he would have done the SMART thing and resigned at the beginning of the year. Our team would have been much better off. and it is true how everyone says that we would have been better under whitby. we would be about 22-5 if whitby would have been our coach. but instead we have had nearly 3 full wasted years of basketball at obion county. we go from having a coach that didnt put a lick of time into us to a coach that put every loss on our shoulder even after he got 2 technicals to change the momentum from us to Westview in that close game. Teams arent supposed to lose by 1-5 points every game. when we lost by that over a span of 10 games something is wrong, and it wasnt the way we were playing. the reason you lose close games is because of your COACH. good coaches know how to win close games. but coach greer never realized this and just kept putting the losses all on our shoulders. how selfish is that? and to the practice comment. you cant really call what we did practice. we ran 5 on 0 nearly all the time when we did press and offenses. how will that make u better? and if we ever stayed after school it was until 3:15. and whoever said this team was low on talent was completely wrong. we definately werent low on talent. experience maybe but not talent. even if we werent the most talented group central has hadthat still isnt the reason we were losing. coach whitby could have a team that wasnt athletic and wasnt talented but he would still find a way to win. from a former players point of view, he was a terrible coach. he didnt teach us anything he didnt put any work into anyone but his so called "superstars." but everyone still thinks he can pull together a winning season with the team he has coming up next year. if yall thought this year didnt have talent wait til you see next year. i feel sorry for central basketball if they decide to keep this "great" coach for next year.

I'm not on here to degrade or applaud Coach Greer. The turnaround to this season was the Westview game when he could have made a positive out of his two technicals which probably cost them the game, but instead he not once mentioned that the loss could have been his fault. Instead he put the majority of the blame on his players. Following that loss he decided he needed scorers in the games instead of individuals who put more emphasis on defense than trying to see who could score the most points. It sounds as though from reading the messages on this board that there are a couple of adults responding to messages from young adults making themselves look immature. Before any individual accuses someone of posting messages, they need to be certain that the individual(s) they are accusing posted the message. I want to end by saying I have been around several of the older players for several years and have to say that each are very polite and intelligent gentlemen. And the problems that have faced throughout their basketball career may be partly their responsility but the majority has to be on the poor leadership they have had since junior high.
