That said We have really enjoyed what he has done here for us in the State of Tennessee. And applaud him for it. COME ON folks support him it takes money to run this site bandwidth to run it servers to push it. daniel24 i was just waiting to finally see someone post on this. Believe it or not i think these boards get more attention from administrators than we know. That said they should be ashamed of how they let this program fall apart. As i have said in other posts there has to be many good athletes there at NE. I really don't know much about the boys there and who they are. I will say this it would be a good time for the ones that want to lead to step up now and do it. Maybe this will be a turning point for the Eagles now and they can come out from the shadows of there basketball program. Its good to see that this CMCSS administration has finally addressed this. We shall see how effective they are. Two years with what to wins? Players no disrespect meant to you or your coaches. Good luck in getting back to your winning ways at Northeast. Now that i'm learning more about previous years with Prep ball here your the only ones to get to the big one. Is this correct?

Using the military argument in the discussion is not as prevalent as years past in our area. Many of these folks settle down here and buy homes and send the children to our schools. Many have established roots here and intend to stay here even when deployed overseas, the mom and children are here in the community. You should know that to be the case. When I put up this discussion topic I should have put more of an emphases on academics then sports. This always been the top priority here with us. That said I feel they go hand in hand well together. Playing sports should be a reward for doing well in the classroom or at least giving it your best effort. My intentions are to not discredit educators or coaches but to try and get them some help. I will admit that I do not claim to know the answers but since we have had one play sports in our youth leagues, middle and high school. These questions I now ask have derived from our experiences. A comment made that know one remembers a Championship after it??™s over. Well I totally disagree, go ask most athletes around this community who Maryville, Alcoa, and etc are and what they have accomplished. Many can tell you who they are. We just think here strong minds and a good sport programs builds a good spirit in anyone that wants it. Weather they stand out or a just kid that wants to play. These are things I have been thinking about for the last few years and before we move on I wanted to express my feelings about them. Our families have been here many years and we are more aware of what takes place here than you know. Folks I'm happy to see that this is getting some attention like I said my intentions are all done in good faith. If you open up the LC every morning as I do and read how much crime and hurt that goes on here. What??™s wrong with discussing how we can make it better for the ones that come after us? In my opinion I feel we let some kids down here. This town has many wealthy people here that have made there wealth from hard work and a military post to help them get there. We can do better here, these boys with there dads and moms in Iraq out at Ft. TENNWATCHER I agree about the feeder programs, case in point on that would be even though Richview middle school is volunteer coaching program. They are fortunate to have Coach Tommy which he works with the Clarksville high staff on what they need and is good at developing his kids for the Clarksville program. He should be given some credit for the Wildcats success over the last few years. Not to take anything away from the best head coach and coaching staff that they have ever had there in my opinion. Snider is very good coach for knowing what his players are capable of. The sad reality of some programs that make good runs for few years here and fall down, i hope he defeats that scenario. NEHS is a prime example of how quick they fall. Even coach Young in bball is facing it this year with almost winning a state title last year. We are more fortunate then others here at CHS. I'm the kind of fan that likes to see them all do good so long as they don't beat us. All Clarksville schools can do better than we do here over all. I just feel like people that are in the know here are concerned about speaking up here because this place is different then some of these other communities that get it DONE.

As much as I really dislike knowing the feed back it will bring, I'll step up and say it anyway. Here in the county we don't have enough really dedicated players and lack the ability to develop them here. This is why you see teams like Maryville, Hillsboro, Riverdale, Smyrna and etc. contend year after year. Has anyone ever won a state title in football or any other sport other than Golf here? To be the fifth largest city in the state and having the pool of students that we do something is wrong here. After being around these boards for the last four years it has become very apparent to me that Montgomery co. is not serious about there sports programs. If these leaders of Montgomery Co. and Clarksville want to put Clarksville on the MAP as they so often have stated that's there intentions this might be a good place to start. You see all these other winning schools participate on these board discussions all though out the year and how proud they are of there teams and there academics. I would like to open up a discussion about what could be done for this county to move us into the lime light of more than just trying to capture region titles and public schools here to be added to the list of some of the best in the state for academics How about this lets start by turning two of our oldest high schools into magnet schools any thoughts on this administrators and coaches? Can you just imagine putting our brightest and best athletes in school environments that push all of them to excel. If this county could accomplish something like this what a good drawing card that would be. This could bring in more industry than going to China to site see do you agree? God knows if we would put more into our youth here maybe the crime and crap that goes on here would drop. Lucky dude duck hunting, going to Ark, in Jan myself for some of that. Yep BigRed West 65 was getting it done. I DVR'ed the game and you no i have been breaking it down. Both our dudes did just fine. Our QB that was playing DB had a great game too. It was a good game and we had our chances just was not our day. But for recruiting it was fantastic day for alot of our players. BigRed if you have the game recorded go to 2:14 in the 4th quarter and tell me what you think about that lick and the aftermath lol. The boy's really had a good time and TACA did great job starting this 1st one off. There is no doubt that Tennessee is proud of our Prep Stars. Other than a few schools that try and get it done like Kenwood and Clarksville with what they have your right on target. I look for this to change, if we can get the right county and city leaders in office.

Mac daddy I could not agree more about what you said in your post. What we need to have is magnet high school for the ones that want to excel in the class room and in sports. There is no doubt in my mind that if Montgomery Co. was to do something like this it might take a few years but we could compete with the big boys in 5A. Have middle school magnet for them as well. DREAMING... but i tell you what they want to put Clarksville on the map.. Let oh Johnny boy do something like this and i would actually start to like him then lol.
