The game that you are talking about was actually played in Hampton Elementary because the high school gym was ruined by the flood. We brought this event up to the UH fans in a thread last basketball season...

The minority part dont surprise me at all LastWord. And I never said anything about having a problem with who started as a matter of fact the starting 5 is not bad at all he will mix it up every now and then and I think it's a good move. I think they could expose their bench a little more not alot but a little in some situations. If I had to put a lineup on the floor for saturday I guess you could go. The Covorubias kid at the 1 the two Smith boys at the 2 and 3 the Aldridge kid at the 4 and the Taylor boy at the 5 spot. But like I said thats just my opinion.

I think its funny how everytime something bad is said on here about the coaching at Unaka there is a new screen name created to come to the defense. And to answer your question no I am not on the sidelines and no I do not know what goes on in practice but I have seen alot of basketball and basketball played this year and I can tell you they are by far the worst coached team in this area. You can make excuse after excuse after excuse about this whole cycle crap that may be true to a certain extent but when you have 3 seniors that are pretty decent ball players a freshman and sophmore class that has players probably with better talent than some of the juniors you have starting and can only win 7-8 basketball games not to mention against teams with losing records than there is something wrong.

Oldrangerhead I dont hate any team I may disagree with some things but I leave it at that. And I dont throw tantrums my friend over a highschool sports website that is mostly parents/coaches/ and etc trying to stir up trouble that people get on here and read about and it makes their day. This board is an opinion board key word opinion. I dont care if 1 person agrees with me thats not the point the point is that you dont want to admit that this program has went down hill over the past 3 years all you so called true ranger fans or I should say fake ranger fans who obviously believe it's the kids lack of talent that seperates them from winning well I say thats a bunch of crap and will be the first one to tell you its not the talent that keeps them from winning and people who have watched them play know that and its not secret at all. When your a coach and you cant adjust to other teams style of play offensively or defensively I dont care how good you are or how bad you are and you dont know how to use your players/bench in the correct way then what you are seeing at the moment will continue. And you ask me what teams can function without good players.. I take it you have seen Cloudland play this year they returned 2 starters off of last years team if I am not mistaken and they start 2 sophmores and 1 other medioccur senior along with that. No one they bring off the bench stands out either .Coach Smith if you notice knows how to use his players and they know their roles to a "T" and he has a different game plan for each opponent offensively and defensively night in and night out and thats why they win basketball games. Now the question you have to ask yourself is this. with the athletes Unaka has from the freshman class on up do you honestly think that Unaka is bad enough to have lost to Not only Happy Valley who I believe had only 2 or 3 wins until playing Unaka defeated them. Or I will take it even further and say was they bad enough to have lost to a North Greene who was defeated by Clinch and had barely won 3 to 4 games as well now you answer me that question and Ill see if your thoughts have changed.

Well atleast you stated something right Rangerdad...The ranger program cannot function unless they have a good team and good players... the 04 and 05 state tournament teams proven fact.

Rangerdad you obviously didnt read my post clear enough. I didnt say Unaka's girls didnt have any talent I said that Kenneth has probably the least talent between Hampton,North Greene and Cloudland and still finds way's to win basketball games thats what makes him a good basketball coach. I will not sit here and argue with you because you know deep down that the boys program is in need of change the fans know it the administration knows it and stoney creek knows it but they dont wont to break up there little circle on the creek so therefore he will remain the head coach win or lose and keep making Unaka basketball look pathetic.

If you are referring to me as who I think you are try again "Maxalt" or should I say coach /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> you can hide behind a screen name as well but not alot of people like are exactly on the Snavely wagon right now so put 2 in 2 together and even the most gullable person can pick out of the whole staff up there who you are. In defense of Kenneth Chambers the school nor school board system has a reason to let him go. He actually wins basketball games with lesser talent than any team in the conference and thats why he is wanted by numerous amounts of schools in this area and it is noticeable. Kenneth Chambers isn't going know where if he leaves it will be on his own terms. The Hurley Holler,Hodge Branch,and Blue Hole Rd commitee does not decide if he stays or go's. I am sorry the girls program has been accustomed to winning since Kenneth has took the job at Unaka while since Snavely has taken over he has succeeded to make it embarrasing for people to even watch. Alot of you so called poster's/coaches that post on here seem to be a tad bit jealous because of the way he does things on the creek and thats fine I am pretty sure he could care less what other coaches on Stoney Creek think of his methods and style of coaching. You guys might want to take some notes the next time his team plays and you might learn a thing or two in the future.

I have been reading this thread for the past couple of days and I find it quiet ammusing how people on the creek think they hold the power to snavely's reign of the head coaching position and the people sitting in the stands owe those 3 men on the sideline something. Unfortuantely thats why we have a school board system to decide who will be the next head coach. Their job is not only to make sure these kids progress in the classroom but your job is to win basketball games as a head coach as well which they have yet to do. It's just a matter of time before the system hires someone who knows something about the game of basketball and has a good relationship with these kids and can find a ways to win basketball games and make the game fun again. Unfortunately LASTWORD you speak of how the fans/parents have no say in what goes on at the highschool about the decisions that can be made. You are right! But the schoolboard does and I know for a fact that 2 or 3 of them is not pleased of the way the basketball program is being run up on your so called creek. But it's just a matter of time before the change will be made on the creek because its not ur decision who stays or go's and the powers of who's hands it ly's in will not stand and let it go on any longer as well.

this game could go either way,hampton is probably prepared for somthing they arent going to see untill at least the 2nd half if they go on top early JC could lose this one

thats funny where are you getting your information Johnson county would have killed Central if it wasnt for all the turnovers in the first half central isnt nearly as strong as last years team i wouldnt worry about them

I'm not worried about Adam Townsend its not that big of a deal Johnson Co. faces Ernie Hodge 5'5 142 every day in practice so you cant say we arent prepared Hodge had 11 tackels 1 forced fumble and fumble recovery plus a pick that was almost ran back for a touchdown against Central he also leads the team in tackels....i dont understand all the hype here
