Coaches, Please send me an email back with the list of weight classes you will have wrestlers in at the Region 7 tournament, this will help me determine what the schedule will look like. The Region 6 Tournament will be at Overton it is currently scheduled for Saturday, Feb 10 and concluding on Sunday Feb 11th. We have had many scheduling conflicts among all of the schools in the region, Overton BBall has a game Friday night. However, we may be able to complete the tournament in one day. I need the coaches in the region to respond to this request as soon as possible, I have also emailed them but I do not have contact info for CPA. Coaches, I am going to try to determine if I think we can complete the Region in 1 day. Please respond as soon as you can with a list of the weight classes you plan to have wrestlers competing in during the tournament. You do not have to tell me your specific line up, all I need is for example if you have a wrestler in the 103 lb weight class, you would simply respond with (103- yes) I will make a list by weight and then compare that to a bracket to decide if it would be possible for us to complete the tournament on Saturday Feb 10. We will have the seeding meeting for the Region on Wednesday Feb 7th, at Overton at 6:30 pm. Please complete your rosters online by Tuesday Feb 6th at 10 pm. This is a change from the earlier email. It was originally planned to have the seeding meeting on Friday night but there is the possibility that we could wrestle in the small gym on Friday night if needed to help us finish on Saturday. We would only wrestle the championship pig tail matches Friday night, this is not definite - just a possibility. With the possibility of completing the tournament on Saturday, it will be very difficult to do so if we have to hold matches for wrestlers taking the ACT, please encourage them to change their date if at all possible. If they are taking it and cannot change their date, then please encourage them to change their location to OVERTON, I think they can do this relatively simple but a small fee may be necessary. Brackets are now available at Fred Rigsby Freshmen Grand Championships The 5th place match was left in the bracket, but they will not be wrestling the 5th place match. Some weight classes were split if the number of wrestlers in the weight class was greater than 16.

It has been decided by the MTWOA that 8th graders cannot compete in the Freshmen Grand Championship Individual Tournament. All 8th graders entered into the Freshmen Individual Tournament have been withdrawn.

Brentwood is wrestling in the Soddy Daisy Invitational, he is the 2nd seed in that tournament, they want him to have the opportunity to wrestle Tyler Roberson(SD) #1 in the state.

The middle school tournament portion of this is a dual team tournament. All middle school teams participating have already been invited.

We do not seed the freshmen or JV tournaments, we separate wrestlers from the same school only.

I redrew 140 GP West bracket. Should be loading to site now.

New update for the Varsity brackets coming as Soddy Daisy has withdrawn Mikey Fuller(135), Ulric Winesburgh(140), and Tyler Roberson(189). I have not made those changes yet.

See the other GP West post for a clarification. If the coach that has the consecutive dates chooses note to inform the host school, the host school cannot award the extra pounds.
