I said it once in another post and I will say it again East Ridge is terrible they were over rated last year and will be and are awful this year they have no one

PLEASE! East Ridge was so over rated last year it was terribleWhen the first rankings came out that same night they lost to CSAS by thirteen and when the rankings came out the next week they had jumped up about two spots thats crazy. This year Charlie Moore is gone they are going to be worse. Who do they have. If you say AD then you are crazy because he is not even half as good as his sister

Magnet schools are still considered public and offer a public education meaning what is being taught at a magnet school is mandated by the state just like regular public schools CSAS offers many fine arts such as art theatre band orchestra, along with basic classes such as english and math along with a required seminar class once a week and obviously you do not have to be zoned for that school to attend

This would seem tru but anybody who knows anything about the school knows that traditional the parents and alumni never get caught up in wins and losses in sports. They are far more concerned about academics, so although CSAS is a magnet school and in theory they could have any athlete they want, is really not true up until about three or four years ago there was an interview process where many students did not get accepted into the school, therefor scrapping the idea that they can have any athlete they want, To be honest with you Coach Dragoo has only had superior athletes about five times in about 15 years 1990 state runner up, 1998 sub state appearance, and the last three years

You may be right I have no Idea I no longer live in Chattanooga so I have not seen Howard or Tyner play this year

REgion, TYNER, CSAS, Howard, and Hixson, their competition will be McMinn, Polk, and.. you pick the last two, it really doesnt matter after McMinn, Jlegend( HA, HA) I will let you know if I go but it has to be on a Friday which it probably will be

We are cool then, I just did want you to misunderstand my assessment of the teams in the district, now I cant wait to ssee Tyner and CSAS play becasue I seriously think that will be the best matchup all year in the district

And I hi lited the above statement to show you I said that Tyner has un proven talent means they have some TALENTED kids who could help but Jeff Smith is the only player that is proven to this point I never said they were a one man team. My point is that most people dont know about Alfred Polk or Justin Long or some of the other players on the team thats all I was saying, please read carefully before getting defensive, and I have been saying for three weeks that Tyner will be one of the top two teams in the district at season's end

Out of these three teams Howard lost the most.they still have Allen Ray and Shropshire Tyner has Jef Smith(1st team all district and city i think) and some un proven talent CSAS returns their top five scorers from last year which include Powell (1st team all district)who is averaging about 22 points and ten rebounds this year, Marsh (1st team all city) Cable and McCollough

The renewal of a single A rivalry from the 90's should be exciting. one thing CSAS has improved on is its defense If GRace does not stop CSAS from runnig the floor it will get ugly

Good coaches win ball games, good mentors make men out of boys, now the second one is most important but the thread is about good coaches in my opinion the two best coaches in 6-AA are Dragoo from CSAS(he has had maybe two losing seasons in his entire twenty plus year coaching career) and the coach from Sequatchie because his teams are always disciplined and they are always the only county team the even compete with the city schools in the district

WHo is replacing Coach Higgins at Howard I hear he resigned yesterday

Did Isaac Tuley(sp) play for Lebanon, I heard they moved him back to the freshman team because of some jealousy issues, i hope not I saw him play as an eighth grader he is a tremendous talent

Yeah I was at the game. CSAS looked like a track team. They had 90 points with about five minutes left but the JV players couldnt make it to the century mark

I know both Nokona and I agree that summer games mean nothing but CSAS played Cleveland this summer and it was a very good game, very close

No problem after thinking about it for a while I guess Hixson is not as bad as I made them out to be

Yes Tyner Howard and CSAS will kill East Ridge they didnt win the district with the talent they had last year what makes you think they will win it this year. I dislike Hixson and I would pick them to beat East Ridge.

I can live with these rankings for right now

First of all get your facts straight Higgins has not been at Howard for the last ten years, he was at City High where he had talented teams but never really beat anyone good, And at Howard he has had the most talented teams every year except for this year
